Bowling review: I like the scoring system (you can pick a fun theme background for behind the score grid) and it was cool to play team vs team (3 on 3) where the system rotated everyone between two lanes and showed team scores as well as individual scores. We played two games and it even showed the total team scores for both games. We had a problem with one lane being extremely slow to return balls (they would bounce around behind the pins) sometimes taking three or four player turns for a ball to come back. Those of us using house balls had to have a second ball instead of waiting. I also liked that they have house bowling shoes that Velcro on. I've always hated bowling shoe laces that cut into my hand. I also like the colorful bowling theme backgrounds above the lanes and they must look awesome on Friday and Saturday nights for cosmic black light bowling. If you need the pro shop, the pro shop guy also works the lanes front desk, so check for him there if the pro shop is closed. My friends got some of their balls redrilled quickly and easily. read more

I used to visit this venue years ago on field trips with kids from the childcare I ran. My son and I were driving home from MB and he was asking to stop here for some memories. It is kind of hidden from the road and it is a lot bigger inside than it appears. There is no where else around like this unless you go an hour to Wilmington or MB. It has a ginormous, clean, bowling alley. There were so many lanes and o liked the fact that it was family friendly. There is laser tag, a pretty big arcade (closest thing to Dave and Busters around), and a glow in the dark bumper car track. There is also a restaurant and they also have a drive in theater during the summer. For some good family fun, this is a fantastic spot! read more

Kevin the night manager is a stereotyping person who drags the cops into his lies and stories. My husband and I went here tonight, and my husband was stereotyped saying that he was smoking in the restroom. My husband had just gotten in the door and ordered his food when he went to the restroom to use the restroom and came out with the security guard standing there saying he was smoking in the restroom which was not true. Everyone around stated they sis not smell marijuana on my husband so how was it him. Once I decided to have a conversation with the manager and rent a cop their stories changed and said he smelled like marijuana (which he did not) so they wanted him to leave because it's a family friendly place. A family friendly place with alcohol that decompresses the brain, if it's a family friendly place why have stuff that leads to intoxication and the decompression of the mind? It was very unfair as my husband was not the one who was smoking or smelled like marijuana. After he left the smell got stronger so how could it be my husband when he was already gone for about 15 minutes. KEVIN KEVIN KEVIN IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF A MANAGER EVER. The waitress staff had my back 100% the entire time because I am a regular who always come there and relax and have fun singing karaoke and I don't bother a soul. Then he personally attacked me and said I should have reported the loud and drunk table beside me to him. I said why do I need to do that when you clearly heard them yelling and screaming. I'm not sure why reviews are so bad here, but we had an awesome time at Planet Fun with our grands last night. We were hesitant to go on a Friday night in the Summer with younger kids, but Cici walked us through the best options for bowling and laser tag, and Emma made sure we were all set up properly for laser tag. There were other employees we interacted with from the snack bar to prize counter, and all were awesome!! Great Friday night fun and both kids thanked us over and over on the way home for so much fun!! read more

We were here a year ago and the place was in good shape and we had a lot of fun. This year we came back and the lanes are uneven, the returns extremely slow, and half the beer selection not available. When we asked to get another lane we were refused and there was only one, yes one other party in the whole place. If you know anything about bowling, you will know this place is not for people who actually bowl. The lanes are so slanted and uneven. I know how to properly bowl, and so does my dad. We usually bowl about a middle 100's. We aren't pros or anything, but I know it wasn't me messing up this day. It is simply the poor construction of the lanes. Every straight ball you throw starts out straight then it curves to the right. We bowled in lane 25 which is more to the right of the bowling alley. This place has good prices. Five people bowled one game including shoes, for $30. The arcade games are slightly overpriced. The alley needs to work on its construction and greasing the lanes. We will not be returning, because it was simply not fun, especially because my family is good at bowling, and all our balls would start off straight and then curve. Came in to practice bowling for league and the lanes were completely dry. I asked the guy at the counter if we could move lanes and he stated that all the lanes are dry and that they haven't oiled in three days. The man at the counter was also incredibly rude. Go somewhere else. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars You're better off driving out to the Atlantic and catching a fish with your teeth than you are actually ordering and receiving food here. It took us four tries ordering appetizers or food before giving up and ordering popcorn. The Manson family could run a better establishment. When we got there, we were told there was a wait to bowl. They had about 40-50 lanes and only 10 were in use. We were told there were two parties in front of us, so we assumed it would be about half an hour. We gave the very rude customer service lady our name. She said "I can't even give you a time". We went to play arcade games. Not a single game worked. Either they were broken down, didn't take the card, or the functioning was wrong. We spent 16 credits to play connect four, didn't work at all. I went and searched for a worker and told him and he said "I know"... did nothing to help us. We ordered some food from the concession stand. The employee here and food was the only saving grace this place had. Once we approached two hours of waiting for bowling we left, without bowling. This place is an understaffed, overfull money pit. Save your time and drive to North Myrtle instead. This place needs to be closed down. read more

My fellow yelpers so I have come today to give you another review Going to be discussing our favorite diner stars grill it took 30 minuets to get a waiter and 1 hour to get our food and drinks and the food wasn't even good quality and then the games were all scams the bounce houses were 3 dollars per kid for a short time. It's also 5 bucks for 12 minuets of laser tag with a wait of a minimum of 20 and we saw it at a 40 minuet wait and the bowling is even worse with giving false hope saying there is an available space when they tell you again in 3 minuets that free spot just turned to a 1 hour wait. All in all we didn't get to bowl or laser tag and I would definitely recommend going someplace else then this loud overpriced waste of time and money there is a wonder works nearby-that seems to be of better quality. I've got nothing but good things to say about this place! We come to Holden Beach annually and are always looking for a fun diversion for the kids each afternoon. We had lunch here and the value was awesome. $5 kids meals that include a drink and an ice cream sundae? Awesome! And $7 express deals for the adults which include a drink. The food was great. After lunch we played the arcade games. We were pleasantly surprised to actually win prizes in their claw machine games. So many times you go to arcades and never win a thing. This place actually paid out and it was very much appreciated. We give this place a thumbs up! read more

They had a few arcade games that we were decent, but their policies were atrocious. In order to play pool, we were asked to turn in a driver's license as collateral. Not only do I not appreciate being accused of being a criminal, but I don't trust their competency in holding onto my driver's license, and not misplacing it. We will not be back. read more

Probably one of the highlights of our vacation. Very nice facilities, every employee was courteous and helpful. At 58yrs old I loved playing laser tag with my kids and grandkids. The bumper cars and arcade area is where my grandkids spent most of their time. Everything was reasonably priced and the establishment was very clean. Highly recommended!! read more

Everyone that was working save for the bartender was very unhappy and rude. Not a single smile or a conversation above a monotone voice to be seen or heard here. My husband was ignored multiple times at the front desk and when he finally did receive service, the girls working were just rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. Decent bowling lanes. Good wings, had the honey mustard sauce and they were quite tasty. $1 pool tables and air hockey. $1 for skee ball was a little much, and they had games that cost $5 to play as well which is a bit high. Some games were working,some were not. Only prizes you can even earn are candy unless you spend 3 days playing to win 75000 tickets for a blow up raft u can get for $10 at wal mart. This spacious arcade and fun center presents a laid-back environment and something for everyone in the family: arcade games, bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, and a snack bar. The wifi is good; decent quality public wifi can be hard to come by. Unfortunately, the place is rather understaffed. We waited about 15 minutes for an attendant to start our game of laser tag; she was working the bumper cars, laser tag, and the prize counter. The equipment frequently malfunctioned. I watched one arcade game restart itself several times (conveniently each time the player was close to hitting the jackpot). Several of the laser tag vests were broken or malfunctioning. The place had the feel of a rundown arcade stuck in a new building. The prize selection was lackluster both in quality and quantity. The candy was squished and melted, the inflatables far from inflated. While I did have fun, I likely would not return again. read more

Asked to have the Ohio State - Wisconsin championship game on the projector last night, manager said it was impossible and their system didn't work that way. They had a football game on one projector and an infomercial for a vacuum cleaner on the other one. Management was extremely rude about it. read more

Laser tag was broken, half the arcade machines were broken, and there were only 3 people running things here. Took forever to find someone to run the bumper cars and I had to go out myself to rescue kids who were stuck because there was no attendant around. We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach for the past four years for vacation and have gone to Planet Fun on Monday night each time. With kids in the family ranging from 4 to 14, Planet Fun used to be a great spot. This week the food was so so, we have have noticed that the number of games working has decreased each year and the "All Play" plan does not include many of the games including the new bumper cars. I'm not sure why it appears the facility is being neglected, but I think this will be our last trip to Planet Fun... I guess there was a reason for the "no refunds" sign on the counter! read more

The games you can play are broken... the laser tag only had 1 working gun and vest. Match stick bowling doesn't work either. I'm confused why this place is even open.????? I have been here many times and the experience is pretty consistent, though I can see that the place has started to get a bit run down. The actual arcade and such are completely fine, but the same cannot be said for the restaurant. I had the single worst dining experience of my life!! Our waitress was incredibly, as not only did she only visit the table once to take the orders but she also never filled our drinks, never attended to us, didn't think it necessary to tell us that the food was going to be awhile before it came out, and bringing out some of my party's food before others, which wouldn't have been a problem had it not been forty minutes apart. I finished eating at least half an hour before my friends finally got their food. I ordered a salad so there wasn't anything wrong with it. Two people in our party ordered chicken tenders, which were everything but tender and really needed to be seasoned. Another of my friends ordered a hamburger, which was completely cold. After we had sat there for at least an hour we had to call out for our waitress so that we could pay the bill. The waitress wanted to charge us for the order of another table and had an awful attitude. My friend did not eat his awful hamburger and told the waitress that he was not going to pay for the thing, which she got very upset over but he didn't have to pay for it. I payed without any trouble, but one of my friends that ordered the chicken was given the wrong change, and so we had to scout her out but she had completely disappeared, and so we had call on another waitress to get her the correct change. I visited the area for 1 day. Brought my 9 year old here and she had fun. The staff was friendly. All the games worked. We didn't have time to bowl so I don't know how that sections is. They had regular games, pool tables, air hockey, a small bouncey thing for younger kids, and a small indoor playground. I was suprised about the size of the place. We ate there too and the food was decent and priced right. The waiter was very friendly. The movie theater is right next door so the location was great. read more

This place needs to invest some capital. Laser tag equipment did not work including vests and scoring system. Bowling lanes had problems with pins resetting and the ball returns jamming. This place could be the go to place. read more

Very disappointing. My husband took our grandson along with two other families (total 3 adults and 6 children) for a morning of fun. The bumper car floor was being painted, so could not be used. I was told prior to arriving that laser tag could support two teams of five. Only four vests were functioning. Only a few of the arcade games that were included in the day pass were working. Enjoyed the bowling, very nice, clean, up-to-date facility. Bumpers go up when kids bowl and back down when adults bowl. Nice feature. Air conditioning was turned off while we were bowling making it miserable for some of us. We were there on a Tuesday night and not many people there at all. Pricing was reasonable for bowling, costly for the arcade games. We didn't play the laser tag or the miniature golf. DISLIKED the snack shop you had a to ring a bell for service. No one came in a timely manner. They took the bell away and when we wanted additional soft drinks because we were hot and thirsty we were told to go to the restaurant in which I had to go to the bar to get soft drinks.
