They seemed very unorganized maybe understaffed.. no service menu or anything you prob need to ask prices for everything I wanted a regular pedicure And shellac manicure with a simple design ( a straight line down the middle) My pedicure was mediocre. Decent job w the nail polish. Which also I'm. It sure where their polish wall is either I don't get to look at them or choose what I wanted. It's always hard to find a new nail salon! Especially when you have one that does the job well. This place opened up next to one of the breakfast spots I frequent and I was tempted to go in. When I went it I was graciously greeted. The man who I assume is the owner gave us so much information on this new spot I felt like I had to try it! The nail bar is huge so there's always an available spot even on a Saturday. I came in for a color powder set and hoped for the best. The technician who did my nails was awesome. She didn't rush and really took her time to give me what I needed and wanted! The result was a beautiful manicure that still looks impeccable a full week later. The power hasn't even started lifting from my cuticles. When it was time to go I was shocked at the price! It was considerably lower than my usual spot! I only came here because the shop I wanted to go to was closed on Monday. I didn't like coming here because the color selection is lacking and I can never find colors I like. My pedicure was fine but Sam did my nails. He made these narrow needle like nails and tried to blame me for having small nails. I've never in my nail shop life since I was 13 yrs old had no poorly shaped nails like this. He had an attitude because he wanted me to let him finish as if that was going to change the shape of the sharpened pencil nails he gave me. I do medium length almond nails! We confirmed this. Not sure what happened. Then he started drilling deep into my nail bed and I still have rings in my nail bed from months back when I would go here. There's absolutely no reason for filing so deep ESPECIALLY when we both discussed how thin my nails are from the excessive drilling!!! I tell him to just stop and he cuts my nails off and leaves me to soak for a long time in acetone. I didn't think anyone was coming so I started taking the goo acrylic off. Someone saw me doing it and came over and finally said someone was coming to fix my nails. Tina fixed my nails and I wish I would've gone to her from the start. She's the only reason for the stars but I hate that I had to endure even more filing of my nails. I just have skin at this point. Unfortunately I DID NOT KNOW that I would be charged for the shape and length of my nails. So choosing a medium length and almond shape costs $$$. This is just taking advantage of customers. I normally tip very high but I tipped 0. I know I was being bad mouthed in Vietnamese and the fact that I was in there for 3.5hrs is just ridiculous. Not wanting to go to my usual nail spot bc "traffic" and "distance," I took a chance coming here and I regret it. Here's why: - Usually when you get a pedicure in the massage chairs the nail techs either start it for you or at the very least show you. No assistance w/ that. - If you get a service w/ complimentary drinks, just get the wine for some sort of buzz. I know the goal isn't to get drunk, but I felt nothing w/ this Mai Tai. - Nail tech tried to pop off my acrylics w/o soaking them first which hurt. - Had to CONSTANTLY remind the tech to watch out for my irregular nail bed bc who wants to get cut (again). - Couldn't enjoy the rest of my drink bc the tech put her finger in my cup. -Instead of picking a nail polish bottle, you have to wait for a nail color pallet to be passed around, which is more of a hindrance when techs are rushing your manicure. -Ask for squared nails 3x, the tech rounded what nails I had left. Even on a bad day I'm mellow when I get my nails done, but this wasn't enjoyable. Come here at your own risk, or find somewhere better. read more

Update: Came yesterday and had a pretty good experience. The nail tech I used to get my dipping done clipped me with the drill they use to clean up the nail job. I do believe the nail tech is competent and that the ding I got was an accident rather than from negligence. Cindy and Linda are by far the best two nail techs this salon has and I wish I could get them each time. ---- This place is amazing. I have gotten my nails done here twice now. Their team is friendly and warm. They remembered me too! I have had shellac and powder done here. I continue to be very pleased with the deal and whole package this salon offers me. Planet nails is great for mom's who want to get their nails done but are worried about where to deposit their babies (eg they are deposited right next to you in a chair). You get a variety of free drinks -Mimosas, margaritas, cappuccinos, frappes, Mai tais, water, etc. and a complementary snack (eg vegetarian egg roll and chex mix). I had to come back twice to get my nails repainted. Instead of fixing them he complained that nothing was wrong with my nails. My nails were painted blue !! I've been here a few times but the last was my worst experience and I will never go back nor recommend to anyone. I would not recommend Chris as He informed me mid way during the process that he missed a step which caused the color not to bind. Each time he filed my nails the color came off. He ensured me that he dipped my nails so that they would not crack but 5 out of 10 of my nails cracked completely or chipped within 24 hours of getting my nails done. This place is AWESOME! I'm extremely picky about my nails. I'm probably a really annoying customer to most, not going to lie. I went into Planet Nail Bar yesterday with a picture of nails that I wanted. Lana (I believe her name was), the nail stylist who helped me, worked with me for over an hour just for a gel manicure. She helped me go through at least 20 different colors of trial and error till I found the perfect one. She made sure my nails were just the way I wanted every step of the way. And she was PERFECTLY okay with me changing my mind part of the way through. I will recommend this place to everyone. The inside was nice, clean, and just felt friendly. It cost $28 to remove gel polish and to have a new gel manicure done too. I absolutely love this place from David in the front that is ALWAYS hard working, to the complementary drinks and massage chairs, to my favorite nail tech Peter who helped me grow my nails long and strong so now I only get an overlay on my real nails (which always need to be cut down because they are now too long). The place is soo good, sometimes they have a problem with keeping up with the amount of clients that flood in. Like any other business they need to find a way to keep the effortless personal touch when crowds are too large to handle, and sometimes result in stressed rushing techs ( but we can ALL related to that). Don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful inside, but I'm not sure I'll be back. So, the lady that was doing my pedicure asked me if I'd like a drink. I asked what did they have. She said a Mimosa. I asked if that was the only option. She said something in her language to the lady that was doing a pedicure next to her. The lady looked at me and said they have a Mimosa, Mai Tai, and I can't remember the other drink. I asked what was in the Mai Tai a few times, and she just kept repeating the drink options. I asked the lady that was doing my pedicure what was in the Mai Tai and she kept repeating drink options. She left and came back with a Mai Tai. I mean, that's nice and all, but I need to know what I'm drinking, and I never actually said I wanted one. I still advised that I need a manager or someone that could explain what was in the drink. Finally, a manager(I think) came over. I asked him what was in it, and you won't believe what he said... just guess... he kept telling me the drink options!! I was about to get upset so finally he explained that it had 5 different alcohols in it. I had to probe for that too! I told him that that I need to know what I'm drinking. Anyway.... the manicure was trash. The lady doing my nails filed my nails and started painting them. I never had anyone not do my cuticles first, but this was my first time going, so I figured, maybe there's a different process here, so let me not assume. After she finished doing my shellac manicure, she was like okay, thank you. I was like is that it, are you gonna do my cuticles? She said the man (that I spoke to about the drink) told her that I only wanted to get my nails painted, but no manicure. I told her I never said that, and that I only spoke to him about a drink. Plus, on the paper that I filled out when I first got there, I circled that I wanted a Shellac Manicure. So she went back and clipped the sides of my cuticles, but couldn't do much because she had already painted my nails. Btw, she did a poor job of that. On most of my nails she didn't even paint them all the way. Beautiful place, but the service was trash. The manager is so thirsty to get money they will try to take everyone in even when they don't have enough workers . I didnt enjoy the pedicure I got today by a lady name Niki I believe is her name. By the look on her face it was like she didn't want to do my pedicure either cuz I did the cheapest one with regular polish and ask for her to check for ingrown. She even told her coworker name Phuong in Vietnamese that I made her check for ingrown and that she was just gonna pretend shes checking it and her coworker said to just charge me extra $5 but because I've been there before she did not charge me. They thought I didn't understand cuz I spoke English to them. I always like going here for my pedicure but today's service was horrible. She made me bleed and did not put the liquid to stop it. Her French lines were very uneven, I had to ask her 3 times to fix it and she did not ask me if I want thin lines or thick. I also got my eyebrow wax by Phuong and even though the pedicure service sucked, the eyebrow wax was very good. I like how she did my eyebrows and didn't skip any steps. 1 star for Niki 4 stars for Phuong, she would've gotten 5 if she didn't say charge me an extra 5 bucks for the ingrown. read more
