My pal Maru loves Planet Pet Spa. He's been going here for several years and always comes back so clean and happy. His bestie America tells me he's the bestest boy for her and even lets her clean his ears, which is something he doesn't let me do. Definitely recommend this pet spa, and America for your fur babies too!

Planet Spa gave my dog the royal treatment. He was nervous today but they quickly were able up calm him down and his haircut came out so cute. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can tell when you walk in the door that they care about their customers both human and canines.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am absolutely blown away with the customer service and quality of the pet grooming experience!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I messaged a few businesses late last night for an emergency dog grooming service. I needed a bath and nail trimming and teeth brushing. I got a response the next morning and they told me they could fit me in at 12:30.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I texted back that I would be there and arrived promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Right when I arrived, the front desk person was extremely nice and knew exactly who I was because of my appointment time, even though I've never been there before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was extremely helpful and confirmed the service that I wanted and told me to wait for a text message for when my dog would be ready for pick up, which is approximately two hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Exactly 2 hours later, I arrived and received a text message that my dog was ready for pick up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I walked in again, she knew exactly who I was and remembered that I was here for my dog.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was given a summary of the care that he received, and he looked so good! Brandon quickly told me all the grooming services that my dog received, and I even got a dog report text messaged to me. I love the puppy report card! They literally went above and beyond, I've never received this type of service for my dog ever before! Not to mention, my dog smell smells so good! I will 100% be coming back here for all my dog grooming services!

Update after response : Nothing in the beginning (or the end) was explained about why the haircut could not be achieved. We went in asking for a shorter haircut/ shaved because we knew his hair had grown out and gotten matted with seeds that were stuck and not coming out when we brushed. The only thing we asked for was a rounder nose if possible*and showed the following picture* - Only after when picking up did our stylist say she couldn't go as short on his fur on the back just to be safe for the sun. (Which we highly appreciated and we're fine with) .Like I said we were really pleased and wish to come back but please don't make it seem a certain way when it wasn't.

I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to get my puppy's nails trimmed and filed. The lady there was extremely sweet and gentle with my pup. She was oh so friendly and did a great job! As a new dog owner, I was nervous about having a pet but she offered some really helpful advice and I felt so much better after talking to her. I'll bring my puppy back for a bath and grooming soon! The groomer did an amazing job with my Maltipoo. I wish I had a before of my dog as she was in bad condition. With malted fur on her legs, belly and neck. My dog does not like to be groomed, but she was able to work with her and get her looking like a dog again. So happy with the result. The only downside I would say is you have to pay cash. Just keep in mind when you go. read more

Brought my Shihtzu here for the first time and was very happy with everything! Everyone was very friendly upon us walking in and they only took about 2 hours for the full groom, which is a short time given how busy they were. He looks so cute and smells amazing! Phenomenal pet grooming spa. This is literally the only place that can clip and file my big boys nails without him freaking out. I love planet pet spa so much! By no means do I have an easy dog to groom, JoAnn does such a wonderful job and she takes her time and is so detailed. As a dog mom I greatly appreciate her kindness that they show to us and all of the dogs. I needed to have my dog's nails clipped. I called to see if I needed an appointment and was told I didn't. I showed up a couple of hours later and they were busy but took my dog after only a few minutes. The service was great and the price reasonable. I would definitely go back! read more

Highly recommend Plant Pet Spa!! I've been sending my dog to petsmart for years but wanted to give a local business a try. Let's just say as long as Planet Per Spa is around, I'll be going back. The interior is so cute and inviting. The service was record breaking, literally about an hour from drop off. (I picked the first appt of the day) and my dogs cut was perfect! Much better than what she would get at the other groomer. She smelled so good and was wearing a cute little bandana when I picked her up. I'm obsessed. Price was about $54 and I have a medium/large schnauzer mix. read more

We took our dog Gracie here for her first grooming appointment a couple of months ago and they did a great job! She was scared of the hair dryer so they took their time to hand dry her and not stress her out! We got a cocker spaniel puppy and just took him for his first haircut and he looks amazing! We recently moved here and missed our previous groomer. I have tried two before this place and something always went wrong or looked bad. But this place was AMAZING. My pup came back looking beautiful and smelling great. Her nails were rounded (I didn't even know that was possible) and this was all cheaper than the first two places. This place is top notch! After a rough experience at a dog groomer business close to downtown, I used yelp to get quotes from different businesses for somewhere else to go. I can't tell you how happy I am that Planet Pet Spa was one of the places that reached out. Excellent communication, customer service, and the inside was extremely tasteful and clean. Piper had been sprayed by a skunk earlier that week, but I had gotten 95% of the stench out myself, but the tomato sauce left knots/mattes close to the skin, and I just couldn't get it myself... Not to mention, the kind lady that helped us out was AMAZING! She was giving tips and really listened when I rambled on about my dog's past issues with grooming. She was an absolute saint! Anyway, it was quite a drive for me, and it was definitely out of the way, but I know we will be back! Worth it! read more

I love this groomer! I have 2 heavy shedders, (a Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd) and they have left looking great. I took my Pyr first and honestly wasn't expecting much.. but was wowed when I picked her up! She looked beautiful! I brought both dogs my second time and had the same experience. Their under coats were visibly lessened and they felt soft and smelled great. The price for both dogs was reasonable, I am used to paying more for big dogs and was pleasantly surprised that they charge less than my vet and they do a lot! Nail trim, ear cleaning, brush out, bath and dry, clipped their booty hair and feet, and you can't forget about the facial. With all the rain coming this next week, I'll be bringing my girls back to the spa! read more

If I could give them 100 stars I would. They have some of the best service I have ever experienced with my dog, King. King HATES getting his nails trimmed. He had a bad experience getting a trim at the vet as a puppy, and since then he has been banned from our local PetCo's grooming for nipping. The staff at Planet Pet Spa were very gentle and kind, and they constantly comforted King throughout the clip-trim. They will be where King gets his grooming from now on and I will certainly recommend them to my friends in San Antonio. read more

Spot on! Definitely will be returning! I moved from California in April and took my dog, Rey, to a new groomer here in San Antonio. It was another place called helgas pet grooming plus or something and when I picked her up they didn't even tell me. I looked and her belly had razor burn all down her belly and was red/purple which ended up needing ointment from the vet to treat. Long story short, I had to find another groomer and came across planet pet spa. I am so happy I did and chose to take my baby here! I told them her history and they took amazing care of Rey and she looks amazing and as cute as ever. I recommend 100% going here. You won't be disappointed. I took my dog there yesterday, she was groomed by Gina, and she deeply gouged her paw pad and did even tell me! She was bleeding when we got home and I found the cut on her paw pad. accidents happen, but at least tell the client and not try to hide it! I won't go there again! read more

I found Planet Pet Spa and I couldn't be happier with their response time, customer service, and how great they did with my schnauzer pup. I messaged the owner via yelp on Friday morning and she replied almost immediately. She also had an opening for the very next day. I took the 8:00am opening on a Saturday and when I got there I was very happy to see that all the groomers were wearing masks and they were requesting the customers to wear masks. Made me feel safer. Miles looked great! I couldn't be happier with how handsome he looked and how good he smelled he also got a little bandana. I'm so happy to have found this place. Highly recommended! read more

Planet Pet Spa was amazing. I don't remember the name of the lady who washed/groomed my dog, but she was super friendly! Their scheduling system was so convenient being online. It was easy to use and confirm my dogs appointment. They're availability was incredible. The prices were very reasonable. The environment was clean, bright, and open. She was done in an hour and my dog came out looking brand new. All his tangled fur had been brushed out. The shampoo they used gave him a clean scent but was not over powering. He also got a cute bandana. I will definitely be back!!! read more

I would have agreed to it of course but when you're on a strict budget $50 is a lot. Especially in these hard times. I had to be sure I could afford her grooming before finally booking her appointment in the first place.

I took my 2 babies here for the first time yesterday. Was greeted when I came in holding my 6 lb Maltese and 12 lb Maltese mix. There were at least 6 groomers behind the counter grooming dogs! It was a very calm atmosphere and all dogs looked relaxed. The receptionist had a smile on her face and helped me right away. The groomer for Rosy came to the counter and I discussed what I wanted for her and he took her to bathe her. Then Sashas groomer came up and we talked about my little senior. Off she went and I left. 1 hour later they called me to say they were ready! I couldn't believe how fast they were! They sent me a text with a report card for each before I got there! They looked so great! Usually when I drop them off for grooming anywhere else they are put in a kennel and 4 hours later they are ready. This adds to their anxiety as they are both rescues and spent enough time in a cage. I recommend Planet Pet Spa on Tezel! read more

All of the staff there is very friendly & professional when grooming pets of all breeds, I'm very pleased & impressed with their work and their patience, My boy Max can be very challenging during grooming and nail trimming But they still manage to complete a great quality cut for my boy. My fury baby was so happy! I loved taking my little Frankie to planet spa! he was so exited to get groomed. I've taken him to other places and he has never shown to be happy and comfortable staying at the groomers. The staff was a delight and a pleasure to talk to. My Frankie had a full grooming with a blue berry facial which made him fell like a brand new beautiful and spoiled puppy, and smell absolutely delicious. I was very pleased with Planet Pet Spa. I walked in to get my dog's nails trimmed and filed. I walked in at a good time and they were able to bathe my dog also. The staff was very friendly and cordial. I liked how they notify the owner by text when your pet is ready and let you know how your pet did along with a little summary. I use to take to my dog to a very well known grooming servicer downtown. About a year ago, I decided to give this place a try since we couldn't get in to our normal groomer.
