More of a grab and go establishment, so don't expect dine-in seating! Hot tip: grab some sandwiches and head over to Lakeside park just down the road! Makes for a great afternoon.

When you first pull into the parking lot, you don't think much of it as the building next to the convenience store is abandoned. It does not have a beautiful façade but when you walk in, it's a mom and Pop small ethnic grocery store. You order your food at the counter. The menu is kind of limited however there is quite a bit of healthy options. We went with the lamb kebab over rice and the gyro sub. unfortunately, I did not realize that the prices go up if you pay with credit card, so remember to bring cash if you want to save money. After you place your order you can wander this very small aisles to look at a variety of different drink options, etc. The food did take a little bit longer than expected to prepare. The lamb kebab over rice was delicious and had the perfect balance of spice. The sub itself unfortunately was a little disappointing. Maybe I'm not familiar with New York style subs, but I found the bread to be underwhelming and the actual ingredients inside the sub to be slightly disappointing. I think it would be better to serve the euro in a pita. I don't know about the other sandwiches that other people rave about however, maybe I will try that the next time we come in with cash, of course.

The environment has a slightly industrial feel with just a hint of coziness, which gives it a modern but still comfortable vibe. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It was alright -- nothing special, but given the size and volume of the place, I don't necessarily expect everything to be made completely fresh to order. It did the job. The service was also just alright. My interaction with the barista/bartender was brief and unfortunately a bit stale. She wasn't rude, just not particularly warm or memorable. Overall, it's a convenient place with a lot of options, but the experience itself was pretty average.

Penny Drip was open at 8:30am (blasting incredible music btw), ready to go. I got a vanilla latte (for me) and a pistachio matcha (my partner). Latte was great and the matcha was one of the best matchas I've ever tasted. Syrup was mixed perfectly - subtle matcha taste - everything you love to see. Loved their vibe - will definitely visit again when we're back in FW. Will need to try their vegan breakfast sandwich!

I have come to appreciate the freshness of their sandwiches lately. My wife had the chicken Caesar wrap. She liked the moist chicken, light tasting dressing and soft wrap. The potato salad was fairly standard with most. It had a nice mustard-mayo taste and consistency. It might have been a little heavy on the mayo. The egg and celery were good touches. Very smooth! The McAlister Club sandwich was filed high with delicious turkey and ham. The Swiss and cheddar cheese...plus toppings made a nice sandwich. The white bread was nicely toasted without being overly crispy. Just enough mayo to blend the tastes. The 1/2 salad, on the 2 choice deal, is enough for a whole meal. It's a real club salad. All the fresh meats, cheeses and toppings. Lots of croutons. The honey mustard dressing is thick and spicy. All blended to an enjoyable taste. The Mac & cheese side was rather small. The noodles were a bit mushy and over cooked. The cheese sauce comes off a bit "institutional". Perhaps a flavor that you would find at school or a place who isn't focused on a designer Mac & cheese. It was very creamy and had a mild cheese flavor. I liked the tee shirts the staff was wearing to promote their tea. McAlister's special tea is like drinking a hug - per the shirt. The tea has a nice smooth/warm/soothing taste. It kind of reminds you of a southern style tea. However, it isn't over the top sugary. It also doesn't have a bold strong tea taste. It's good...and I almost felt the hug lol.

Sunday around noon o'clock and it was pretty a pretty busy place. We reached the corner to place our order after a short wait and the gentleman behind the corner took our order. He spoke very quietly and I felt bad having to ask him to repeat nearly everything. After we gave him our order and he repeated it I questioned it if it was right. At the point another employee came back and asked us what it was. It turns out he was a new employee and still finding his way. No problem. No one starts out an expert at anything. The nice lady got it straightened out and we sat down to wait. A few minute later a manager came by and apologized and said he thought our order wasn't entered correctly. We told him that was the case originally, but it was corrected by another employee and it was good now. The food took about ten minutes and wasn't presented as the prettiest meal I've ever eaten. Both lids on my Jalapeño Turkey Crunch appeared to be sliding off the side and the pickled looked like it had been mushed in the hands of a toddle, barely resembling a pickle. It made it a VERY messy, high-napkin-utilization meal. While the tables were addressed quickly after diners leaving, the floors were another story. Yes, it was lunch rush, but at the same time it takes a micro-second to pick up an errant straw wrapper or napkin. This location has a nice outside seating area with several table and umbrellas. It was a bit too hot/humid for us to eat outside, but in better weather we'd have absolutely eaten outside.

This was a large pizza. More than I could eat in one sitting. The crust is thin except on the outer edges. The wood fired process makes the outer crust crispy - in some spots very crispy. The bottom of the pizza was still soft and nicely baked and lightly coated with corn meal. The crust has a buttery garlic flavor which was delicious. The quantity of toppings was just right. The vegetables had a slight crisp and tasty fresh. The meats had good flavors. No strong Italian flavors. I liked the larger and thicker chunks of sausage. The pizza sauce was kind of hidden. It was hard to detect as it wasn't very plentiful. Seemingly it is slightly sweet with a mild tomato taste. Cold Pizza Test - the crust stayed moist with a slight crunch. The flavor of the toppings seemed to blend even more with time and coldness. The corn meal base flavor seemed to become even more prominent. Bubba's cold Deluxe pizza had an enjoyable taste! The side salad was nice. The greens were fresh with a limited number of side vegetables. I accepted the onion straws on top of the salad. While the onion straws had a nice taste...the number of crunchy items dominated the salad. I thought I was eating more straws than lettuce. The team here works hard. The shift manager is on the ball and keeps things moving. She is very professional and welcoming. Myranda was our waitress. She hustled and came back to check on us frequently. We appreciated her service and kindness. Just to reiterate from previous reviews. This is a large but busy place. Use the wait list feature. Otherwise you are gambling on longer wait times. Also...the restaurant is very loud. This may not be the right choice if you want to have a quiet dinner or easy conversation.
