An Auburn staple! I always bring my out-of-town friends here. We love to get the gourmet grilled cheese and add ham, barbecue sauce, and onions. I love how versatile their menu is and that you can get pretty much anything however you like it. The food is always good and always consistent. If you want desserts, we recommend going early in the day and also early in the week to get your pick of what to have! This place was a little hard to find but worth it. It's on the top floor of a old building downtown Auburn. The entrance is around back; not facing the main drag. Came here because they have vegan and vegetarian options to please everybody in my group. It's a soup, sandwich and salad place with baked treats. The wrap that I had was very fresh and good. I enjoyed the homemade potato chips that were perfectly salted. They offered us a free cupcake which my dad readily accepted....it must've been good because he inhaled it in two minutes. This is a solid lunch spot in downtown auburn in an older building that brings back a lot of memories. They have a large selection of sandwich choices plus a build you own option. They also feature daily specials to add to the variety. It is nice that any sandwich can be made into a kids meal as well for 40% less - this is a lot more unique than just having a totally separate kids menu. All food was very fresh but we were a bit disappointed with our salad dressing as it was nearly all oil. The staff was wonderful about it and promptly brought us alternatives meanwhile explaining that the dressing had been made that morning so great to hear everything was so fresh! If I still lived here I am sure this would be a regular stop for me. read more

We used the catering services from The Deli At Sixth & Main and were very pleased with a beautiful luncheon buffet. Very creative use of the available space which made the delicious food look great. We had a spring mix salad with accompaniments, Chicken Salad and Ham and cheese on Mini Croissants, Swedish meatballs, Beef Tenderloin on Crostini as well as two kinds of chocolate chip cookies and brownies. The kids thought it was so yummy, 5 stars!! Egg salad and chicken salad were both delicious, croissants were perfect, and the homemade ranch dressing was my favorite part of the meal! The desserts looked good but we were too full to get any. The brownie looked chocked full of walnuts. They had triple layer chocolate, cheesecake, and carrot cake. Anyone familiar with Auburn has seen this location be several different restaurants over the years. This one is here to stay! The totally made over space, located above the Olive Twist downtown Auburn, is beautiful. Dark wood floors, cool grey tones and white subway tile make it feel modern but without taking away from the historic charm. The menu is great, similar to Panera. Soups, sandwiches, salads and baked goods! All the food we had was delicious. I chose the Gazpacho soup and half Asian chicken salad combo. Both were flavorful and fresh. The kiddos both had sandwiches (kids half sandwiches are available at 40% off the full sandwich price) and included a pickle spear and kettle cooked chips. They raved about the chips and inhaled their sandwiches. The Deli offers homemade ginormous cookies for dessert along with brownies, pies, etc... We chose to share a monster cookie and brownie. Perhaps my least part of the meal as I prefer a cookie that is chewy and soft in the middle and this one was crispy. The brownie was the same. Also baked goods were a tad steep in price. $2 cookie and $3 for a brownie. I am so excited that Auburn has such a healthy and fresh option for lunch! read more

Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich- Brie/green apple/turkey/croissant- was told they were out of the green apple, I said that was fine. What I received was croissant, mayo, and turkey. It's hard to believe warm and cold sandwiches can be OMG good. Well, these are that good. They make there own pub chips also, they are prefect combination with the sandwiches. On our way out we tried one of their chocolate/chocolate chip cookies. It was great. All in all it was a great lunch that you should try the Deli. You won't regret it I promise. read more
