When the big box store sent out their non-English speaking crew to deliver and install our new dishwasher, they did me a huge favor. It was the end of the day (Saturday night at 8:00), and they found the excuse they were looking for to call it a day and leave without completing the installation. The next Monday, I began calling around and was quickly reminded of how badly the big plumbing companies like to gouge consumers like myself. To make matters worse, they are not all sending out licensed plumbers, but they will charge 3x-4x the price of any smaller independent company with licensed, Master Plumbers. Thankfully, I found Bella T's. Justin was able to squeeze me in the same day, without any upcharge for doing so. He came to the house on-time as scheduled, and immediately got to work removing the old unit and installing the new. In the process of doing so, he pointed out some serious issues that he saw with the PVC drains below our sink and made a good recommendation for fixing. There is no way on earth that the Home Depot crew would have caught this, and there is also no way they would have taken the time to properly install the new dishwasher with the same level of care and diligence that Justin showed. I will definitely be calling him back to do that work he recommended, because he explained it in clear English - and I now understand why I have gone through three garbage disposals in less than seven years. He also recommended that I get a leak detector for beneath the new dishwasher to prevent a similar mishap in the future - something I wasn't even aware existed. Here's the real deal, though - he knew I was in a bind, and could have tried to take advantage of me but didn't. In fact, when I asked him about payment by credit card vs cash and offered to pay a service charge for credit card payment since I was strapped for the latter, he refused to take it, pointing out that he finds it unethical for other companies to do so. In today's world, where greed seems to rule the day, it is so refreshing to find someone who keeps his word, takes tremendous pride in his work, and charges a fair but extremely competitive price for his services. I would never consider using anyone else after my experience with Justin.

The problem started when we heard a loud bang whenever the sprinkler system was activated. So, I did some extensive research and was advised it was a classic example of needing a water hammer arrestor installed. NOTE: Something I should emphasize is that this only occurred once, when the system was activated. Anyway, before he even started, I advised him of my research on his first visit. He seemed to be considerate, but advised that he was a master plumber, so I of course listened to his recommendations. He decided that since there was some pipes in the basement that weren't strapped down, that could be the problem. The cost of that was $234.00. No problem, because he advised that a water hammer arrestor would cost around $400.00. Since that didn't work, on his second visit, he advised that the pressure reducing valve would be most likely be the issue. I allowed him to install that, because again, I'm relying on a master plumber to fix the problem. That didn't cure the problem either. NOTE: And by the way, on his second visit, he mentioned the water hammer arrestor would now cost $500.00 if the pressure reducing valve didn't work. After allowing him twice to fix the problem, I decided that was plenty enough chances. I was charged an additional $700.00+ (plus a 10% or higher tip which he stuck in my face, while claiming it wasn't something I was obligated to include) and the problem still wasn't repaired. My thoughts were that this guy is trying to bleed us for the greatest amount of money he could scam us out of. So let's get this straight: I've paid this company a $1000.00+ and I'm right where I started! Anyway, I hired another company and they diagnosed the problem immediately. They installed the water hammer arrestor and there hasn't been a problem since. Never again will I accept a guessing fix twice from someone who supposedly knows what they're doing. I'm not a financier for someone's else's guessing games. I've done lots of guessing doing some of my own repairs, but it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. With EasyBreezyPlumbing, you're in charge of footing the bill! Never, Ever Again! NOTE AGAIN: If you've ever had any type of dealings with Applewood Plumbing, then you're going to realize their business model is similar. I was sure it was my sprinkler valve, but had an issue changing the valve: The pipes were too tight! I texted Don and got my hacksaw, but luckily he texted right back. He was able to squeeze in a quick visit before the weekend, and found that the water regulator for the entire house was making the pipes shake. My sprinkler valve was just fine. That regulator had given out after 30 years. With that replaced, all problems were solved. He even arranged for a quick stop in on SUNDAY MORNING to make sure we were set. I've happily referred a couple of my neighbors to Don. He's a true master of plumbing, and I wouldn't call anyone else.
