They are Zeiss authorized vision care. I called them to confirm if they could install new Zeiss lenses in my glasses. I was told the only way they'd do that is if I went through the eye exams provided by them. Time for new glasses, and came to look at Planet Vision's Yelp reviews. I remembered how at my last visit there they pulled a bait and switch with the frames. The frames are all unpriced, so you have no idea what price you're picking out. I had picked out a few, they asked which I liked best. Went for a thorough exam with the Dr. I came out and all the frames I'd picked were put back in the rack. My favorite was still there and even though I kept asking the price, during my selections, they said not to worry, they would make me a deal. They were the most expensive. If I remember correctly they were Dior frames, almost $600. By that time I was so over looking at frames and the thought starting over from scratch was way past disturbing. I'm on disability and Medicare and I felt I was pressured into high priced frames. I remember wanting to walk out but I was already charged for the exam. I'd been going to this Opticial practice since the 1990's when Dr Hilton owned it. There front office practices leave a lot to be desired even if the exam with Dr Bhaktra is top notch. read more

At times the doctor may be late for the appointment, but she does take her time with you (and this could be the reason why sometimes she's late). She is very thorough with the visit and explains everything! She (as well the staff) also makes herself available to you at any time, should you need her help. The staff is also always very friendly: we stayed hours at the store when we had to choose our new frames, and had to went back a couple of times to get our lenses prescription and/or glasses adjusted: they were always so patient! And due to their office measurements/precautions during the current Covid-19 pandemic, we always felt safe in their office. read more

I have been visiting this doctor and location for two years now, and am I have to say is wow! The doctor generally cares and values your needs and what is best for you, she is always attentive and knowledgeable to what questions you have. The operation at the location are very responsive since during COVID 19, all patients are checked in through a link or portal or phone call prior to arrival as well as you need an actual appointment to come through. I've had a wonderful experience with the care and value they have for their clients. I always offer to check with your eye insurance for the best rates, I will be honest and state the prices for lens and frames are out of reach for me here BUT the attention to my consultation is SUPERB, I wouldn't see anyone else. read more

So I've been looking for eye glass places for about a year now and I found this shop that's covered under my insurance. I do have issues with money so expecting to have a good visit turned out to be the total opposite. I understand how it works in the company but one of the people that work there I believe his name is John seems like he's a manager of some sort gives me the hardest time when I come into the shop. I can't afford the glasses that they have nor do I like the ones that are inexpensive so I told them I buy them from somewhere else I'm just getting my perscription renewed and he the whole time at my two visits sat there and kept nagging me of 'oh I'm wasting my time taking your PD' or 'she just needs the paperwork she isn't here for any purchasing'. Back and forth I'm just trying to get glasses but he gave me the wrong PD twice becaus I went to another doctor and they gave me a total different answer all because he was so annoyed of how I wasn't purchasing glasses through him. I honestly have been struggling with them for months and I refuse to ever go back here. It's upsetting people that try to get support from professionals only to be given nag and guilt for trying to save money. The doctors were great it was just the one man that seems to always be there. Maybe everyone had a different experience but when you don't buy from him it seems like money is his problem and his only focus. Love your job because you want to do it, not because you need to. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. I have a lazy eye (amblyopia) and am on Medicaid. I went here for glasses and contacts. They had me, a low-income patient, fitted for the most expensive contacts on the market Bauch & Lomb Infuse immediately. They recommended and pushed for this brand above all. This is despite clearly not needing them because my eyes have never dealt with issues of moisture as I found out by another doctor who was unaware of my financials. My glasses, I can contest along with other patients, were pushed for the most expensive Ray Bands for "durability" and transition lenses because of another excuse. They have no care for poor patients, its a money grab. Their poor quality of care exceeds this disappointment though. On top of this they had my left eye, which is already dealing with more and constant degraded vision, on a prescription I've had three doctors say was way too high. This was by an entire LEVEL and a HALF. They told me my vision was much worse than it was and likely made it worse than it was originally. Because of my condition this is irreparable damage. I was on this prescription for over two years. I even told them how blurry my other eye was but I was assured my prescription was right. It is disgusting to go to medical school for that long and mess with something as crucial as someone's eyes. For money and just poor medical practice. I urge patients to check with other doctors. I went to Costco for a double contact and glasses for HALF the price, for just contacts mind you, and so much better care. This is how I found out about this. I'm shocked, disappointed, and hurt for being discriminated against for being a Nurse and caring for COVID patients by this company, Plant Vision Eyecare, in Greenacres Fl. I was denied service (eye exam) just because I've been caring for COVID patients. Mind you, I told the staff that When I'm working im fulled protected with all the personal protective equipment that is required to care for these patients in need of support and medical assistance. I also told them that I have No Symptoms At All and I came to the appointment with a mask on. But, Planet Vision Eyecare still refused me service!! I have to say that I'm Proud to be Nurse. I am honored to care for COVID patients that need comfort, compassion, and medical care. When Plant Vision Eyecare refused me service, I have to say that it truly broke my heart and brought me to tears. How can a company that offers medical services refuse a client just because she is Nurse caring patients that have COVID??? I will never return to this office. I will never go back to this company. I went to the one in green acres off lake worth road. when I went with my husband I got a totally different experience but when I went back by myself to collect my contacts Len they let me wait outside with is very unprofessional. And second time when I went for my glasses the same lady did the same thing. Let me stand outside in the heat wanted me to try the glasses which I refused . I told her it's ok ,took the glasses and left. My husband said went he went. He went inside to try his glass and got a proper instructions on how to use his glass. I will never ever go back there. Loved it here! So informative and caring. The staff is very knowledgeable and so helpful. They have this 3D eye ball machine that takes pictures of the back of your eyeball, which I thought is pretty cool. The doctor shows a great deal of knowledge as she explained on how to keep my eyes healthy, just by looking at the back of the eyeball. AND they can prescribe you eye glasses too!...this place is like a ONE STOP SHOP...everything you need can be found here. The best part was that the doctor explained everything that was happening...it was great!!! read more

I saw Dr. Bhakta for the first time last week. Her state-of-the-art retinal scanner took a 3D picture of my retinas and she fully explained the image to me. I was happy to learn that I have very healthy eyes. Dr. Bhakta was also able to quickly check and update my vision prescription. I was having blurry vision with my contacts and her changes to my contact prescription has now helped me see clearly. Dr. Bhakta has a friendly and professional bedside manner (more accurately it would be examination chairside manner). Her staff Bonnie and John were helpful as I picked out a new pair of Valentino sunglasses. If you're in the market for a new pair of designer shades you should definitely check out Planet Vision's selection.. I been there for annual eye exam. I can tell that i been so angry for front desk representative work attude. 2 of frontdesk representative trys you to drive to buy a frame. They push you hard for buy a frame Even if you decide to use your current frame. I leaved to place early than my wife. My wife had to renew her glasses too. Same representative said her can leave with current glasses they will call her new glasses arrive to store ???? She has told me i have to send my current glasses to lab and glass frame exactly will be cracked. That is really very bad costumer service and traps to people for renew glasses frame(!) I can understand people trys to make some more money with commision but i can not undrstand why people push you that way like you are a stupid. Costumers not stupid. This is the best eye doctor of all times!!! Dr Bhakta is the most patient and understanding doctor that I have ever been to in my 68 years on earth! She is very thorough and gentle !! I'm truly disappointed with this place; at first I thought is was kind of strange that my wife needed progressive lens for being as young as she was, they told they her she has to wear progressive lens for a year and come back the following year, the following year we went back and came to find out that she still need more progressive lens, I had previously talk with a eyeglasses place and told us to be careful that she was too young to wear progressive Len, so we decided to get a second opinion and came to find out that she doesn't need progressive lens and only needed glasses for her far sighted, this whole time all they want to to do is get 600.00 dollars out of me and that was with insurance, I went to another place and only paid 221.00, please folk stay away from this place, my wife eyes obviously got worst because the wanted to make a quick buck,not including the numerous times I had to take her to the er for migraines, stay clear from this place. read more
