Went here with a friend. I am familiar with the name -- there is one on Parsons Avenue in Columbus. My friend told me the food was "amazing". She and I both got a burger. She got mini nachos and I also got the steak bleu salad with ranch dressing. She has been there before (obviously) and got the food that she normally gets. My burger was average. I got the mushroom burger (medium well) with no cheese. It had canned mushrooms (I would NOT have gotten the burger if I had known this), I asked for mayo, tomato, lettuce and onion. It had everything but the mayo (I got it to go, so I used hers). It wasn't cooked medium/well, but well instead. The burger was completely bland with no flavor. The salad was fine, but the ranch dressing was watered down with NO FLAVOR. Would I go back? Maybe, but I definitely will NOT order what I had the this first time. read more

We came for a late lunch and the restaurant was nice and quiet! We have been here in the evenings before and it was so crowded and loud. My cheeseburger was perfect! I loved every bite. The French fries were hot and fresh. There were a ton of fries in the small size. My husband ordered a tossed salad and the lettuce was crispy. He also ordered a Hawaiian pizza. He was hoping that it would have had more toppings on it but it was still good. The pizza even had almonds on it! Nice touch! The prices were very reasonable. Ugh I hate to leave 1 star, but it was that bad. I am a Grove City native who hadn't been to Planks in over 10 years. I was excited to go, but extremely disappointed. We stood by the door for 5 minutes before being greeted and seated. We wanted to sit outside, but the hostess rushed us to a table without asking. Took 10 minutes to get our drinks, another hour for our food to come out. We kept saying the food would be worth the wait, but no. Mediocre. We stopped in on a busy Friday night so we knew it would be a bit of a wait. We were seated after about 10 minutes of waiting. It took all of that time to also be acknowledged. No blame on the staff though, it was busy and our interpretation was they were short-staffed. The waitress we had was very pleasant and attentive. I had the Greek Salad, Cajun Salmon with a side of cottage cheese and baked potato. My salmon was just s bit overdone...but flavoring was VERY good! Stopped in here for dinner with my family on a Saturday afternoon and had great service, although it didn't seem to be super busy inside. We were seated right away and our server was very attentive even with us sitting outside on the patio. The food was delicious and came out pretty quickly, although the burgers took a few minutes longer than the rest of our food and came out last. Inside the restaurant felt very much like a historical pub but we didn't spend much time inside. There was a scannable QR code on your receipt so you can pay with your phone and use Apple Cash if needed. Prices were reasonable. No dogs allowed on the patio. read more

So I've been to other Planks locations, but this was a rare day in March that was warm outside and I wanted eat somewhere on a patio. The pizza was very good which was no surprise, and always lots of pepperoni's. Tried their greek salad which was a hit, and a change up to the regular Italian. So we eat here about once a month and I usually get a chicken salad but this time I took a chance and ordered the broiled salmon salad. I was pleasantly surprised that it was cooked just right, not overly seasoned and the salad was huge! The only thing that I wish that it was on romaine lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce or mixed greens but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The vinaigrette dressing was delicious but I. Hubby ordered the buffalo wings and on Monday nights they have a special on wings so that's always a hit with him. Of course we will be returning again soon....til next time! :) read more

Stopped in with my uncle for our weekly dinner and I have to say I was unimpressed. They were slammed on a Friday night but my burger came out almost 15-20 minutes before my uncle was served his food. The waitress expressed her apologies that she seemed to have forgotten it in the kitchen. My burger was also almost completely raw in some parts. Now I love a medium burger like the next girl but this was too far for me and being super hungry I had already eaten most of it before realizing it. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience, and I will NEVER BE BACK AGAIN despite all the "good" reviews I've read on here. There were 6 of us on a company outing for lunch. We walked in around 12pm and left at 2pm. First it took 30 mins to get our drink orders, so we decided to go ahead and order our lunches to, so that we can save some time. It took almost 1 hour for them to bring out lunches for just 2 of our girls. An additional 30mins for just a side salad and 2 sandwiches. The waitress had to come ask the last girl what she ordered again. Then brought out a sorry looking small plate with what was supposed to be a "Fried cod dinner platter". We got our food in shifts, Some here, some there. Some not until 1:45 mins into our wait. My chicken sandwich came out cold, I didn't even eat it or take it home. (Btw: There plates don't come with fries or chips. Everything is separate.) I started to notice people that came in after us were getting their lunches before us for their whole party. I'm not sure what happened but the waitress repeatedly assured us it wasn't her fault and a kept apologizing however if you had to come back 1 hour and half later and asked your customers order was again, then something is definitely wrong. I had really high expectation for this place since I see it's always busy. I do not and will never recommend this place to anyone!! I always pick the local restaurants over chains, but this was a disappointment. It seems they may have gotten too comfortable, and the owners just don't care anymore. read more

We always get carry out from Plank's. This time around we decided to get some Pretzel sticks as well as pizza. The Pretzels were great! The nacho cheese that came with them, not so much! Ended up heating up some Queso that we had in the fridge. Amazing! Our pizzas were excellent! We always order well done and both of them were perfect! Delicious cheesy, crispy crust pizza! On Tuesday's, they offer half off pizzas if you dine in! Plank's has a lot of other items on their menu aside from pizza. Daily specials as well. They are located in one of the oldest buildings in Downtown Grove City. They have a nice patio that faces Broadway. It's always full when the weather is nice. read more

This is a solid pizza for a pub. Thin and crispy and the price is also reasonable. Not the most popular but hangs in there with the rest.

Being an Ohio landmark, I thought this place would have been better. There were workers drinking on the job, the food was bar quality, and the bathroom looks like an underground level of Super Mario Bros. I ordered the Philly Wrap, and there were flaws just looking at it. Having more peppers and onions than the actual meat base, it overpowered the balance of the sandwich.
