Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. The pie looked amazing. Perfectly crispy outer crust, six cheeses and garlic, along with my toppings. The pie was pretty damn good, with steam coming off the top. The six-cheese blend was interesting, with the dominant flavors being American and Cheddar. The sausage, olives and mushrooms were all fresh and plentiful.
