I've been going to the Hollywood location for years and when this location opened up, I figured I'd go here since it's closer. I made a last minute appointment online for same day, and was fully expecting to come in and wait for quite a while like the Hollywood location. I got here and there were no people in the waiting room at 3:45 on a Tues, and I was seen within 10 minutes of checking in which is unheard of at the other location lol. I'm already in and out by 4:05! I've made appointments for the other location and still been there for hours because they're so backed up, so this was an amazing experience and I'll be going here now. read more

I scheduled an appointment here early in the morning and staff wanted to verify information regarding my insurance to see if it was in network. I gave my card to the front desk but later to tell me that my insurance has expired. I explained that it was impossible considering that I was still employed with my company and pay for a PPO plan and can also show proof through my work portal. The front desk lady ensured that it was going to take a few minutes to verify my insurance since nothing was coming up in their system and they would have to call my insurance company for verification and eligibility. After waiting roughly 45 minutes, they notified me that they still were unable to verify my insurance on the phone as it was taking a while. I supplied them with my social security as asked. The girl at the front desk updated that it was going to take roughly 5-10 minutes to verify. After 20 more minutes have passed, no update on insurance verification. I waited roughly about a little over an hour just to see if my insurance was eligible and expressed my concerns that I made the appointment in advance and insurance could have been verified before hand. I requested to get my ID cards back and was not seen. While driving back home 15 minutes, I was able to call my insurance and verify eligibility with them in a 5-7 minutes phone call providing me with copay and coverage. I've been to other locations in my past and have also worked as a medical assistant back in my early days of working and this location by far has not been the best experience. The lady dealing with the insurance verification wasn't even apologetic about the situation. I was not seen, and I wasted my time. read more

I was very disappointed by my experience I arrived a few minutes late to my appointment as the parking was difficult, I ensured to call and inform the office. Upon arrival I was told that I would have to wait 3 hours to be seen, and that "everyone else has been waiting since 9 AM", which was unreasonable considering it was around noon at the time. No patient should ever have to wait 3 hours to be seen. Highly unprofessional that I was not informed it would be that long of a wait when I called. Wait times are to be expected at doctors offices and I am understanding of this, but is is unacceptable that the practice would not consider informing patients with scheduled appointments ahead of time of such an excessive wait, so they may have the option to reschedule. I left the office without being seen as I could not wait that long, even though I had driven an hour to get there. I went to another location where I was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Please do a better job of ensuring professionalism and accuracy, most of us have obligations and waiting three hours is unrealistic and does not enforce a reliability or professional standards for any medical office. read more

no parking, staff is horrible. i felt like i was at a DMV appointment and even then they treat me better. had an appointment and i wasn't seen 2.5 hrs after only to be told i can't have my IUD inserted because it hasn't been 12 years :-)! it's been 11.5 possibly 12. online it says change it after 10. they told me this info after i asked them for the cervix numbing shot and the nurse?? gave me a stank face and said "you know it's 3 of them right?". leaves and then tells me i'm gonna get charged by my insurance- they couldn't tell me this 2 HOURS AGO?? also skeptical but they only told me after i asked for the numbing shots.. call me craaazy but.... i wish i would've gotten the doctors name from the day before when i went in to get tested because she was the one that told me: 1)yes i can get it replaced 2) suggested the numbing shot. 3) made the appointment for me. love her. everyone else ah no. save urself and go to a different location unless u have 3+ hours to spare on your day off... read more

I love this place so much. Everything is quick and efficient. After check in I was seen in no more than 10 minutes. I came in for a yeast infection and was given the medication for treatment at the office. It's really convenient since you do not need to go to a pharmacy and pick it up. The facility is also very clean and has a spacious lobby/ waiting area. Thank you to all the ladies that made my visit a good one. Excellent customer service and amazing caring staff and clinicians. Did my woman wellness exam, Pap and was referred for a mammogram. Everything was very fluid and stream lined. Made an appointment and was seen on time. Catherine was my clinician and she was extremely Kind. She took her time with me and was caring and had an amazing approach of making me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable usually dreadful by annual exam ;) I appreciate being seen on short notice and helped. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Planned Parenthood. This Planned Parenthood in particular I love. It is one of the newer facilities in Los Angeles. It is very clean and modern. The doctor and nurses that have seen me have been very caring and informative. I received an IUD insertion from this Planned Parenthood and I experienced no pain during the process. They recently added localized anesthesia for the insertion process, which I opted for. They talked me through the process as they were doing the insertion which greatly helped ease my anxiety. read more

I've came to this specific planned parenthood about twice, the front desk staff is always so sweet including Stacey who was at the front Desk! I got called in by an MA who was honestly hardworking & looked like she enjoyed her job. I didn't get her name but she was great! She helped me figure out what kind of birth control would fit best for my lifestyle by giving quick tips and advice. I felt welcomed and heard. I unfortunately wasn't too sure about the Practitioner named Dela, she made me feel like I wasn't able to explain other issues such as questions or other minor things. Felt uncomfortable. If you make an appointment here be prepared to wait an hour, and their response is "well we always have a wait" okay so what's the point of making an appointment then?? They need to do better with planning out their schedule/taking less appointments. Ladies at the front desk have 0 amiable energy, like if you hate your job and the people you work with get a different job, don't be in the medical field dealing with patients. I came in today to get my nexaplanon and removed and I had a great experience after being very anxious about my previous experiences with PP and other location. The wait time was very low and the person who did my intake and removed my implant were very helpful, patient, kind, and understanding of my concerns. I have been coming to Planned Parenthood since I was 14 years old and I think today's experience made up for all the scary years that I may have had up until today.
