I had a great experience here, everything flowed fast and easy and the Medical Assistant and Physician were very professional. I honestly feel like I actually always leave here feeling well taken care of. Though I understand other's experience might not be the same as mine. Compared to Manteca's location, Tracy Planned Parenthood is helpful and polite. Maybe it's because I tend to always schedule in the morning and never walk in? I feel the front desk people and nurses are always so sweet and take their time with me. They seem very attentive and present. I've never had an issue with how any of them treated me and I've been going to this location since I was in high school (I am 26 now). I say give them a try. They do tend to get booked out but I personally always get a slot within a few weeks. I've never had to wait longer than 25 minutes once I arrive. This is just my experience though and I hope they continue helping others they way they have helped me! Donate donate donate. Matthew is amazing at first I was uncomfortable because he was a guy and I didn't want to discuss my personal issues with him but as he asked me questions he asked them very professionally and made me really comfortable . I am such a baby when it comes to needles i usually never get my blood drawn willingly But he assured me he's done this a bunch of times and I'd be fine and he was right I didn't even feel it . He wasn't rude he wasn't pushy he wasn't in a rush or irritable like I've experienced before from the nurses visiting Tracy planned parenthood he seemed he was genuinely a positive and happy person. Then there's Grace who was also very positive and very helpful she even went out of her way to help me and relieve me or my concerns so I didn't have to stress anymore and resolved my issue right there . Not Saying that all concerns can be resolved same day but I didn't think mine was able to be and she assured me that it could be and took care of it right away! Thank you both !! read more

My experience here was an extremely disappointing one. I had an appointment at 10:20 that I booked WEEKS ago. It unfortunately was the earliest I could get. When I get there, the receptionist tells me to come back around 1 because the doctor who was suppose to see me, for some reason, wasn't in. The receptionist said that they called me but when I checked my phone, I got no such call. I had been getting several text messages reminding me of this appointment, but nothing when said appointment is canceled? I'm bummed but I really need to see a doctor so I come back at 1. I wait for about an hour when they tell me my wait will be at least 2 hours since I'm a "walk in". I booked an appointment weeks ago, at an earlier time than the people who were seen before me but I'm considered a walk in. The receptionist books me another appointment which isn't until Monday in Modesto. I'm frustrated because I have a very scary, very painful problem I've been dealing with for nearly a month that I was really looking forward to getting help for but now I have to bear it for another 4 days due to this location's incompetence. Since there is nothing I can do about it, I'm just going to cry my frustrations out and then take a bomb ass nap. ETA: okay, that copy and pasted response just re-pissed me off. The negative reviews left for this clinic are not proper representation of this place. Each time I come here I get proper care and treated respectfully. Planned Parenthood seems to have a bad name to it but please do your research. They offer so much more than "what they're known for". They offer woman health services like pelvic exams and treat things like UTIs/bladder infections too. I receive better treatment here than I do at a regular physician. The physician/clinician on site is always so kind and addresses any concerns you may have. Because of this I always leave a generous donation and on behalf of what Planned Parenthood stands for. Yes, if you're even 1 minute late you'll be considered a walk in but that's only because of the constant no shows. When I went today (Wednesday) there was record of 55 patients that did not show up or cancel their appointment beforehand. This is also the reason why when you try to call for an appointment they're 2-3 months out. So be sure to show up at least 5 minutes early to an appointment or try going as a walk in if you need immediate care. read more

Seriously this place is the worst!!! I brought my girls there because I had used Planned Parenthood when I was their age and it was awesome. Did things change so much in 30 years that service has gone from Pleasant, Caring, Reachable to RUDE, UNPLEASANT and STUPID???!!! The first appointment was good (here is where the one star comes in). I made the appointments and the girls were left to their own devices on which method of Birth Control they wanted. I was essentially cut out and they were on their own. One chose the pill and the other the Depo Shot. Fast forward to 3 months when my daughter needed to call for an appt to get her next Depo Shot. She called and got an "answering service" who made an appointment, went to the scheduled time & date only to find it was an appointment to make an appointment for her shot. Received a card with yet another time & date, arrived at this appointment only to find she did not have an appointment regardless of what the "card" had printed on it. It was in fact for the next day (???). Next day came and she rec'd a call at school saying the provider will not be in, she needs to call for another appointment. We do that and all goes "okay" until it is time to make the NEXT appointment. She is given a "card" that tells her when to call in .. ummm .. why can't the appointment be made now??? Why does she keep having to call the answering service to make an appt?? Well they can't answer me because I AM NOT THE patient only the mother .. (groan). Call to make the 3rd shot appointment, it's made only to be called again during school to be told that she can't come in because the provider is not available. (Are we running a circus here??) Decided to forgo this MESS and find her a REAL doctor with an OFFICE who can MAKE her appointments months in advance!! Daughter number 2 on the pill .. What a disaster this is!!! She started the pill as the directions were given to her, pill is not working as it should. (I had this same problem told her to make an appt to increase the dosage) Daughter 2 was told by staff member that she does not understand what she means and that it could take up to 6 months for it all to work itself out (NOT). I'm not an expert but I was on the pill for quite sometime and it took a few tries to get the dosage right and this was all handled within a few months of starting it. She called yesterday to make an appointment because it was 6 months and still not working and she needed more. The person at the answering service said there was no record of her ever being there and that she'd be happy to make her a first appointment for next month???!!! I chose this method because Planned Parenthood was there for me to answer questions, help with choices and made me feel as if I had a choice and a voice. Not so much here .. both my daughters felt as if they weren't a priority and instead of being helpful the staff was extremely rude and uneducated. Avoid this place, it's not worth the aggravation .. I needed to get tested for stds, I'd never done it before and I called to see how much it would be without insurance and the lady on the phone said 120 or something close to that but I decided to still come in and the gentleman at the front desk had me fill out a couple forms and I didn't have to pay for anything! Got in the same day, 2 hours later, I was nervous about the syphilis test because I hate getting blood drawn but she was very professional and made me feel comfortable and it was over before I knew it. I have shy bladder syndrome so I wasn't able to pee that day and she let me come back the next day which was super accommodating, I couldn't be happier with choosing to get tested and choosing planned parenthood, they really want everyone to be safe and at a cost of zero it's safe to say it's affordable for anyone to be proactive and safe. They do ask for any donations you can afford which we should all be happy to give for such a noble cause, thanks planned parenthood! Keep it up read more

I don't live in Tracy but it's close to my job. Way better than trying to rush to Stockton after work. There was no line when I walked in and no other patients waiting. Receptionist greeted me right away with a smile. Told her my appt time and that I was there for refills. She asked me to sit down until my name was called. Ellen DeGenerous was on so I actually didn't mind waiting. I thought I was going to wait about 15-20 in the waiting room and another 20 minutes in the little patient room. To my surprise, when my name was called by the receptionist, she already had my refilled packed up and ready to go. That's it! In & out of that place on a Friday. Definitely my go to when I need refills. This location always was not hard to find. It's on one of Tracy's busiest streets but I had no problem turning into the parking lot. Yet another terrible appointment at a Planned Parenthood. Pushy, rude receptionists with no people skills from what I can tell. From my previous visit in San Mateo, I was wary about going in because I knew that I would be pressured into leaving a urine sample and doing all sorts of unnecessary tests, but I smiled and filled out their paperwork to the best of my knowledge. I got married recently and so my household GMI changed, but I didn't know it and let the receptionist know, but she insisted that I HAVE to put something down, but I couldn't get a hold of my husband and I didn't want to lie on the form. The woman next to her rudely chimed in "Are you two still together?" which I was extremely offended by. Her intentions were good (she just wanted to make sure that I knew I only had to put my income if we weren't living together), but her methods were very intrusive and a little abrasive. I was then informed that my FamilyPACT will no longer work because he makes too much money (as though that is a good way to determine whether or not I can afford their pricey visits) and I will have to pay out of pocket because my income changed. Fine, this is a necessary appointment. But when the receptionist handed me a cup and told me to leave a urine sample "just in case..." And I cut her off and firmly told her that I would not leave a urine sample unless asked directly by the physician. She started to argue her point, and I cut her off again and told her the same thing. Mind you, I was not being fiesty, I was being firm, as I have learned that you have to be at Planned Parenthood if you want to avoid being pressured. And then she resigned to "Well just take the cup with you in case they ask you for one." Fine, I can deal with that. What I will not deal with us the "Oh my GOD," that I heard her breathe to the woman next to her who had previously chimed in, and then I heard her continue to gossip about how rude I had been. No, I know my rights and I will not do anything I do not feel comfortable doing. I wish I had gotten the first receptionist's name, however I didn't because she downright refused to deal with me after my appointment, instead asking the other woman at the desk to deal with me. I wish I could leave 0 stars, but the location deserves one star because of Sara, the nurse practitioner I saw. I would almost consider going back to this location just for her. She is by far the most helpful person I have ever dealt with in terms of finding a good birth control fit for me. I've been through anywhere from 10-15 types of pills and IUD's trying to find a good balance for my hormones. Some make me crazy, some make me cry, some make my face break out, some give me worse period symptoms. Sara is the only practitioner who literally brought out the book of different types of birth controls to compare them to past pills I have tried so that we could try to find a good fit. In addition, then taking into consideration my financial situation and the fact that I was not prepared to pay out of pocket since I didn't know they would cancel my FamilyPACT, she went even further and found a birth control that fit my needs but was also one that Wal Mart fills for only $9/pack, versus the normal $20-$30. I was so touched by her genuine concern and real interest in finding something worked for me that I wish I could make her my regular physician. I wish that I could, just once, go to a PP in California that didn't make me feel guilty of something (assuming that I have an STD or am pregnant, judging me for using their services even though "we make too much money", assuming that I am not concerned with my own health because I deny unnecessary tests, etc.). I will not be coming back to this location, or any other Mar Monte branch Planned Parenthood. read more

First off I tried to call call to make an appointment and it was just a machine sending me in circles to another machine. Online it said they accept walk ins. But for some reason today they didn't. I have very bad anxiety and I already was very nervous to go there. I walked in and there was literally 2 people in the waiting room. It was my first time at any planned parenthood. The receptionist I talked to was Esmeralda or something like that. She wasn't very welcoming and made me feel uncomfortable . She basically mumbled half the things she said and when I asked her to repeat them (more than 2x) she would just mumble it again. One of the questions she asked which I heard was loud enough for everyone (although there was only 2 people in there) in the room to hear, was very embarrassing and uncomfortable to answer. I should not have to say that I need to get tested for STDs and go into detail in front of people. On top of that I asked if she could fit me in her schedule until Wednesday. I know its not an emergency but I really wanted to know what was wrong with my body at least sometime today. The whole place was basically empty. I needed help and I don't want to sit with a infection or whatever I have for 5 more days at which it could get worse. Overall if your going to work as a receptionist or nurse you should have at least the tiniest amount of people skills, especially at a place like planned parenthood where you need to make people feel comfortable and safe. Please re evaluate the staff at the Tracy location. A fellow yelper also had the same exact experience with same exact person 2 years ago and there obviously wasn't any changes made. read more

The doctor I regularly see to get my birth control is the only reason I keep going to this location but even the front desk receptionists I've encountered are usually unpleasant. I support planned parenthood, I believe in everything they stand for and support. They offer invaluable resources to girls (and men) in need. BUT. This location just needs help. So the front desk staff are kind, the 'back of house' guys are knowledgeable and informative. My issue is that they left me waiting. Mind you it took a few minutes to check in, use the rest room, and I only waited to be put into a room for a few minutes. I get to the consultation room, discuss what I need, and she (the staff member helping me) disappears. For 45 minutes. I told myself 'if she's not back in five minutes I'm leaving' at least 7 times. I left because I had to go to work and I was there at this point for over an hour. I want to give them one star but some effort was put in and like I said, they were kind and knowledgeable. Just. So. Slow. Would I recommend? Yes, if you have nowhere else to go. But ye be warned....be prepared to wait.
