I have been going to him for over 40 years, and in that entire time I have never had a single problem or experienced any pain from his work. That level of consistency, skill, and care is extremely rare. He takes the time to do things right, explains everything clearly, and truly cares about his patients. This is a heartbreaking & painful review to write. :( It has also taken me exactly one entire year to fix Dr. John Hucklebridge's massive medical mistakes, which have been painful, superfluously expensive, and unnecessarily time consuming, all because he is incompetent in his field & the antithesis of a qualified, compassionate listener, as a human being. Want further proof? According to Dr. John Hucklebridge's website - in his own words - he has "more than 25 years experience," and yet he's only received 3 reviews at the date of my posting during that time. In the words of my former FBI agent father, that is more than questionable. When I moved to Plano, Texas in April 2019, I stayed with my sorority sister & her husband in Preston Hollow to look for apartments. They are both dentists. In addition to her recommending which neighborhood I move into, and finding my apartment complex, she also recommended Dr. Hucklebridge as my dentist. That said, she herself does not go to Dr. Hucklebridge, and instead has her husband treat her, so she & her husband's assessment of Dr. Hucklebridge's alleged skills was simply via a gentleman's agreement, of sorts, as she had said her husband was impressed by Dr. Hucklebridge's work. Yet, I'm not sure how that is possible, given her husband treats children - not adults - and Dr. Hucklebridge treats adults - and not children. This, alone, should have made me suspicious, and question their gentleman's agreement, but I - like you, reading this now - also trusted Yelp. Big mistake. Per my medical records - all shared now with my Republican father & son, competent & compassionate dentists in Washington, D.C., who've both treated me properly since February 16, 2007 - it all started on July 25, 2019, with my first visit to Dr. John Hucklebridge, who performed the following: - "comprehensive" oral evaluation - intra-oral full mouth images - prophylaxis (teeth cleaning) (All of my X-rays & medical files have since been shared with my D.C. dentist.) During that July 25 2019 visit with Dr. John Hucklebridge, I was informed of the following "treatment" plan: - Crown on tooth #4 (for which I mistakenly entrusted Dr. Hucklebridge to do a "direct pulp cap, core build up," and take impressions for a porcelain/ceramic crown on August 13, 2019, which he seated on September 9, 2019, and which is the next on my list to be fully assessed & fixed by my qualified D.C. dentist, given they've already identified gum irritation on the inside - near it, without my so much as mentioning it). Was this crown necessary? Did he do it right? I'm still waiting to fix it. - Crown on tooth #2 (for which I *DEEPLY REGRETTABLY* mistakenly entrusted Dr. Hucklebridge to do a "core build up" and take impressions for a porcelain/ceramic crown on July 27, 2020, which he seated on August 18, 2020 - during the pandemic, because I was in so much pain with a broken/chipped tooth. This crown was necessary, and he did it incorrectly, causing me extraordinary pain the past *ONE YEAR*, as he refused to listen to me to fix it - until it came loose *FLOSSING* on Monday July 12, 2021. (For the record, my 1st - and only - crown, before I mistakenly saw & trusted *UNTRUSTWORTHY* Dr. John Hucklebridge on tooth # 14 has lasted for the past 10-years - without pain/problem. One cannot argue with facts, and the facts prove Dr. Hucklebridge to be unskilled, unqualified, and not compassionated, given he had the audacity to criticize my "tone" when I described the pain I was experiencing - as a result of his sub-par work.) - Crown on tooth #14 (which my *TRUSTWORTHY* D.C. dentist told me - upon reviewing my X-rays - was unnecessary!!!!!!!!!!!) - Crown on tooth #15 (which my *TRUSTWORTHY* D.C. dentist told me - upon reviewing my X-rays - was unnecessary!!!!!!!!!!!) Then there's the issue of my night guard, which Dr. Hucklebridge was so incompetent to design & create, that even he refunded me $685 on October 14, 2020 in a fit of rage, as he immaturely emotionally reacted to my calm & factual tone, showing him - without magnification - how uneven his night guard was, and how - because my teeth could not find a "home" to "settle in" over night, I awoke with a migraine, which was - like his incompetent "work" - superfluous, painful, expensive, and time-consuming. I was even so kind as to explain to him how my intelligent, competent, compassionate, and qualified dentists - who'd been creating night guards for me successfully since 2008 - tested night guards, to ensure fit, by not just chomping down on them in the office, with the wax paper, but doing the side-to-side sliding test, and Dr. Hucklebridge was unaware of this test! On top of all that, I saw & reported to Stephanie mask-less patients entering his office on July 27, 2020 - violating Governor Abbott's Executive Order and President Trump's national emergency guidance, while Dr. Hucklebridge told me that he thought the pandemic was all a "hoax" to win the 2020 election. read more

But I believe I have found my new dentist and very grateful my coworker recommended Dr. Hucklebridge and his office! Stephanie is great with scheduling and Cassandra introduced me to a tongue scraper lol. The staff are all incredibly kind and patient. I'm one who conducts quite a bit of research when it comes to choosing a professional in the medical and dental fields. I must add that after two years of researching the top cosmetic dentists in all of DFW, it's Dr. John Hucklebridge who fit the bill and had me always returning to his website as well as Yelp for more research. I had quite a bit of work conducted over a time span of 9 weeks or so but I won't bore any reviewers with those details. Instead I would like to touch on the most wonderful experiences I had with each and every visit to the studio. I've had a complete smile makeover that was much needed after a car wreck I was involved in that left my teeth in disrepair or so it seemed. After my initial consultation with Dr. John Hucklebridge we spoke in detail of what my ultimate "wish list" was for the end result and then together we put a plan in place. The initial step was a thorough cleaning, then three crowns prepared and put in place, two wisdom teeth pulled and all mercury/silver fillings from when I was child were removed and replaced with white porcelain fillings. The next step was to prep and apply veneers on the uppers and lowers. I can happily share that my dental hygiene is at it's best state and that my smile is now flawless thanks to the skills and knowledge that Dr. John Hucklebridge and hygienist Jan implemented during my visits. This review would not be complete if I failed to mention my experiences shared with Robert and Stephanie. Robert is Dr. Hucklebridge's direct assistant and he was quite comforting and extremely attentive every step of the way. What a perfect professional to have by your side at all times. It's clear to see why he is part of this remarkable team. In addition, I must share that Stephanie Kelly who wears MANY hats and makes sure that entire ship is running perfectly in all aspects was beyond kind and extremely knowledgeable of her profession!! I started going to Plano Smile Studio a decade ago. I had horrible dental hygiene and I have suffered from periodontal disease and well as bone loss. I was in rough shape at that time. Dr. Hucklebridge took the time to listen to my concerns and created a plan to get me on the right track again. It took a little time but my teeth and gums have never been better. I wish I found this practice 20 years ago. Dr. Hucklebridge is the best dentist that I have ever been too and I have seen alot of dentist. Hands down best dental experience I've ever had!!! I've been to many dentist since I've moved around a lot but this team is worth more than 5++++ stars! Stephanie is so nice, friendly, and awesome! I love how well she takes care of our Scheduling is always a breeze and most importantly insurance handlings as well. She is so good at remember everyone too, you definitely can tell she cares about her clients! Jann is fantastic, makes me comfortable and great with educating me. She always working hard leaving my teeth super clean, white and healthy. Dr. Hucklebridge is very personable and an excellent dentist. He even fixed a tiny chip in my tooth that was barely noticeable, but I'm glad he's a perfectionist. Definitely not your average dentist! His assistant Robert was also very nice, attentive, friendly and excellent as well during my fuller procedure.
