What a sweet, little hidden gem! I've been by multiple times over the years and always leave with what I'm looking for and some plants that just need a good home. They have a great piece of property, so please make sure to walk the lot. They have plants, trees, and shubbery of all kinds. On this last visit, I ended up taking home a flat of succulents and plants to brighten up my yard and entry way to my apartment. read more

A quaint nursery with a wide range of plants. They have a house plant section which had a great selection of Pothos, philodendrons, calatheas, and more. Plant Place Nursery also had a large outdoor plant selection. They also stock Fox Farms Soil! When I need some more soil I will definitely be back for that! I came specifically for a string of pearls and found a 4" one for $10. What a great price! This will be my third SOP, so I received some good advice from the employee helping me out. Plant Place has been my favorite nursery for many years. It's not super close to my house but I still make a point to drive out there several times a year. The staff is all very knowledgeable and helpful. I love that they carry a lot of native plants and edibles. They also have a great houseplant and cactus selection. Most things come in a couple of different sizes so you can start smaller or go big. I always just walk in and don't grab a cart and then end up going back for a cart because they have too many things I want no matter how often I go! read more

I will be back! I love the location, the staff, and the selection. I saw many plants that I haven't seen anywhere else. I fell in love with my peacock plant, and she is thriving beautifully... my new favorite houseplant. They have a whole area full of succulents and cacti, beautiful palm trees, interesting things like hops plants and different types of grapevines. We bought a few things, including a hanging plant, which is also doing very well in the garden. I do wish the hanging basket was prettier/sturdier; but I could always replace it if it bugs me too much. read more

Such a cute place! They have a large selection of natives and plants that are suitable for the area! The staff goes above and beyond not only to help you pick out the right plants for your garden/yard but will also help you if you have gardening questions (I am a novice gardener so I have a lot of questions). For example, I was able to discuss some pest problems I was having with a staff member and they helped me find a solution that would not harm beneficial bugs in my garden. The prices are good and I appreciate being able to ask about native plants or ensuring that I do not plant an invasive form of a native plant. read more

This place is easy to find. It is a locally owned nursery. They do have knowledgable people that work there. The employees are eager to help if you have questions. They do have a nice variety of plants. Just as any nursery they have lots of walk through areas to find what you are looking for. No military discount here. read more

I highly recommend purchasing your plants, trees, bushes, pots, potting, soil, and anything that you need to do your gardening. April and Andy Layman provide excellent service at their store. The staff that they have are very helpful too. It's the only place that I go to now to purchase plants. They have excellent sales for plants if you watch what they post on Facebook each week. Andy does landscaping. This is a great business with very responsive staff who will give you tips on how to make your plants do well. Every six months, they have the University of Florida agricultural extension come to their nursery to answer any questions that she may have about your garden. Did I mention the prices are very reasonable as well. It's a win-win for everybody when you shop there. read more

Visited Plant Place today with my son! Forgot pics-guess I'll just have to go back! This nursery has been here for many years, under different names & owners. The last time I was here, there just wasn't much to choose from. That was years ago. This Spring, I've been looking for a couple of specific plants. Haven't been able to find them anywhere. Plant Place is only a few miles from me, so thought I'd give it a go! WOW. Plant Place is HUGE and so many different plants & flowers! Not to mention, friendly employees. I found one of the plants I was looking for, as did my son. I'd be dangerous if I had a truck lol. I think I'd just walk around and point-I'll take one of these...and one of those...and this one...and that one...load em up!! Today at Plant Place I saw many familiar plants, plus some I'd never seen before. And most items were labeled with the name and other info, such as whether they need full or partial sun, or do better in shade, etc. Also, many plants were available in varying sizes, which I really appreciate! When you go to the big box stores, each type of plant is usually available only in one size. Plant Place is like going to a friend's house...a friend who loves to garden...on steroids! Lol Our stroll through Plant Place was a peaceful one. Being outdoors in Florida this time of year, it is usually HOT and humid. But if you feel like getting some fresh air, go to Plant Place and enjoy yourself amidst the myriad of choices. You'll forget about the heat and likely come home with some greenery! Plant Place employees are very helpful & knowledgeable. My son wanted to make sure one of the plants he chose was pet-friendly and the person who assisted us told him it was; she also looked it up online just to confirm and reassure him. One thing I want to mention-there is plenty of space to walk around, but the ground is uneven in places. It's also covered with mesh, so you can't really tell if where you're walking is flat or not. Wear athletic shoes and not sandals, or you might be flip-flopping on the ground! Watch your step. Plant Place is worth the ride if you have to travel a bit. If you're looking for something in particular, they probably have it. You should go! read more

It's nice to have a local established nursery in our neighborhood. After browsing a few minutes, we were greeted by a staff member who offered to assist with our needs. There were a couple of acres of various plants and supplies to explore. The prices were fair and they even had a dollar plant table!!!! We were told that inventory is replenished a couple of times per week, so we'll definitely be returning soon to it check out. read more

I stopped in here having read many rave reviews by a local garden group I'm in. I thought they might have some good annuals and veggie starts- being just about time for those. I was wrong. I was unimpressed and left empty handed. Many things were unmarked. The entire place was quite unkempt and the selection was underwhelming. Parking lot is tight and a truck with trailer was taking up a good portion of it, so I can imagine on a weekend it would be tough to park. I didn't see much, if anything, that I can't find elsewhere. The sole staff member I did encounter was pleasant and offered any assistance I might need, and the prices I saw on what was appealing (some camellias and pentas in bloom) were competitive so 3 stars for that. In my opinion/experience a garden center should be full of life and make you feel inspired, and this shop was neither for me. I am glad I didn't make a special trip and just happened to stop while I was in the neighborhood. read more

We enjoy coming here. Andy (the owner) always has a wide selection of plants for the shade and for the sun, and is super helpful when it comes to providing advice on how to make plantings successful. They also have a great selection of plants and herbs that have edible or medicinal uses. Some of which I've never heard of and end up researching afterwards. Definitely worth checking out. read more
