Kirk, who was running food, also went above and beyond by helping me set up our umbrella, which made a huge difference so my grandma and the kids could stay cool and comfortable. This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The water also does not go away at the sinks quickly. Really a cleanliness issue. The bath tub is broken too. Also the hotel can get some upgrade: it's really run down. We had the 2-4 people suite. Kitchen area had all of the things you need (stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes,fridge w/icemaker...etc.) I suggest bringing a cooler to take to the pool, and any spices you might want. Along with condiments to use with food you buy. The murphy bed is a full size and the love seat pulls out into one as well. There's a washer and dryer on site. No gym but there a beach, pool and hot tub. Get outside! The places is CLEAN! The staff is wonderful. We lost our room badge in the ocean in the middle of the night (don't ask!!) and the security guy, Dennis, is always there. He let us into our room at least twice :/ EVERY room faces the beach so you won't get a bad one. We'll be back!!! It's quiet..calm and just what we wanted.

Even our kids noticed and commented on how she made the slide fun while still keeping everyone safe and organized. Every day when we came down to the pool area, she was a smiling, positive presence and truly went above and beyond just "doing her job." Employees like Theresa make a huge difference in the guest experience. We come here every year for our annual trip, and we are really hoping she's still here next year. She is truly a breath of fresh air and an asset to this resort.

Luckily, the onsite laundry room was located right across from our apartment. The room was also fully stocked, and had an amazing view of the beach and pool area from the balcony. The resort was kept very clean. My kids enjoyed the pool very much. We even left the pool toys we had brought for other visitors to enjoy. We did have some noisy neighbors above us one night--people who were obviously celebrating and enjoying one another's company. When the fun continued beyond 11 pm, I contacted the front desk. The older lady working that shift could have been nicer, but the female security guard who responded promptly made up for her. We understand that the guests above us were having a great time and likely forgot the time. However, they quieted down immediately and we were able to sleep in peace after that. The other guests staying at the resort were all kind and friendly as well. We never met one rude person. Instead, we made some new friends that we plan to stay in touch with as time goes on. We felt comfortable leaving our bags by our chairs near the pool if we needed to go in and use the restroom. It's just that kind of place and we are pleased to say we found other Bluegreen owners to be a lot like us--friendly and kind. Bluegreen owners, as a general rule, are like this at other resorts too. Not handled like a business that wants to accommodate people. I suggest a kinder tone, like, "we would like to squeeze one more parking spot in that obsolete wheelchair spot. Do you mind moving?" The lady got combative and defensive when my wife suggested that they improve the white striping on the black asphalt to reflect her reality.
