This location closed permanently on May 5th. I hesitated to return for almost a year or it may have already been a year, because my last handful of visits were bad. A woman that was constantly complaining about how much she hated her job there was the person that prepped me for donation with the needle and it was apparently placed incorrectly because it was incredibly painful and uncomfortable during my entire donation process. My arm bruised very badly and it felt sore for over a week. For some reason I was still able to keep donating a couple more times until my bruising faded, then a few staff members acted like it was a problem because a light brown discoloration appeared on my arm at my injection site. I thought it was my fault for a while because I left a band aid on for too long but come to find out, I ended up getting Hemosiderin Staining as a result. It isn't that bad but now I feel like a laser treatment or just covering it up with another tattoo are some options to erase this minor flaw caused by negligence. I should've just walked out instead of let an unhappy employee touch me. I have been three times and every single time has been very smooth, no wait, everyone is super gentle and professional. The third time I went, I was moments away from passing out, and everyone was on the scene immediately. read more

The service used to be professional and great. But now with limited staff, some rude, long wait times and strict unacceptable policies it's nearly pointless to go here. Even with COVID regulations these folks don't know how to navigate it and until they can get it together they will continue to loose many customers. As an update I had to lower their stars to 1. I normally would say something but I didn't want to be rude and they were closing but a miss shana m. When doing my needle looked new, she missed my vein and tried to reposition it without asking for help then when I was done donating she yanked the needle out and I started bleeding everywhere. Missing a vein and not getting proper help is threatening to donors. She needs training badly. Then I needed to schedule a yearly appointment for address check and physical which they only notified me less then two weeks in advance. I made the appointment and show up but the place is crowded. Even though I made an actual appoint a week in advance they wouldn't let me in at my time and had to wait behind a long line of people outside that haven't had an appointment. Once in it was quick but not ok at all...... I like this place I just can't see why it's this bad. read more

I've been donating here for a long time. The only negative I have is that the wait times can be long. It has eased up over the past couple of months. The center isn't at fault, they are playing by the new rules. The staff is friendly, professional, and well trained. read more

Why is it that you only print the negative reviews and none that are positive.? I have been donating here since before the pandemic, and all I can tell you is that the staff is only doing what they have been ordered to do by the state and federal government. I don't know much about the parent company, but these employees are friendly, yet professional and courteous.and even if you come in 5 minutes before closing, they will not say a word, and will stay late, to take care of you. The wait times are atrocious! I've been here for over an hour and haven't even gotten to the kiosk to do questions. The staff is nice but severely understaffed. The management does not step in to make wait times more manageable. Not worth it to donate here anymore. read more

I haven't even had an appointment here yet and I'm already ready to write a bad review. Their phone message and website say "no appointment necessary" so me and a friend decided to go. Upon arrival and then waiting outside for over 15 min, someone finally came out and asked for our names. When he heard we didn't have an appointment, we were told "we are only taking new donors by appointment because of COVID-19." That's totally fine, but the fact that they're not making this information public is incredibly frustrating. I called several times to double check this before going and the first line of their phone message is "no appointment necessary." I ended up setting up an appointment but the day came and I did not feel well so called to reschedule. I guess the woman on the phone couldn't hear me very well, but she had a terrible attitude. She kept shouting "HELLO" at me. She was treating me as if I was just not answering her. She gave up and hung up on me. She never actually said "I can't hear you very well." She just got upset when she couldn't hear me responding and hung up on me. It's unclear if the appointment was rescheduled or not. read more

I drove 35 miles to get here. I was told, after donating twice here the previous week, that my protein was too low based on the blood test from that week. What?? The other places I have donated at check it that day. Get with the 21st century people. I will not be back. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I drove and hour to Asheville to help out and donate plasma as a first time donor and I had all the proper documentation, went back and completed the screening process and then he told me because my parents address where I'm currently living isn't sufficient because of the 2 documents I showed him, one was in my mothers name. This guy made my experience awful, he was rude to every single person walking in and another person who walked in actually walked out of the place after he screamed at him. He had a terrible attitude and made me not want to ever recommend anyone to help out that business. He was tall with dark hair and a dark beard. Honestly with the way he was treating everyone in the place included people of ethnicity and older individuals I think he should be fired. Completely unprofessional, rude, and made me never want to return again. If you're going to donate I recommend making sure he isn't working. read more

I have had yet another negative experience with this group. Prior to this management groups takeover of the operations at this facility I had no negative experiences. If there were an alternative, other than Red Cross, I would go there. I even contacted the company that services Greenville, SC. but there is, of course, a territory/residence barrier. Today I drive the half-hour to get to the facility shortly after 7 A.M. so I can donate and then go to work. There are a few people in line and when it is my turn to have my temperature checked prior to entry and I am told that they can only admit six people at a time and that because there is insufficient staff on hand there will be a wait, and it was unknown how long the wait would be. Insufficient staffing is a management issue. It is always a management issue. Your staff member at the door is woefully under-trained to be dealing with your donors. I have watched and heard her in the past and she is inadequate for the task of one on one interaction with your donors. What I am asking for is a facility with competent management and staff. Hit and miss is insufficient and this facility is definitely a hit and miss facility, due to the inadequacy's of your management team. read more
