We went around in circles for about 20 minutes until they finally admitted that when they got the file from the Dr. Lee's office there were behavior notations on it that the Dentist was in here refusing to see her and they came up with a plan that was completely not actionable, and when we were unable to make that work, they just dug in harder and harder. I wish we never went to this place. They claimed to be. Experienced with children with special needs they wasted almost a year of time because they did not communicate their intentions with integrity and of course it's my daughter who then suffers. I think once integrity and trust is gone nothing else really matters.

When I began asking basic questions about the diagnosis and what she was seeing, the interaction felt abruptly shut down. My concerns were dismissed, and it was clear that there would be no discussion or explanation -- the recommendation was presented as final. Shortly after that, she left the room to attend to something else and did not return. That experience left me uncomfortable and uncertain. I had prepaid for two appointments, so I chose not to proceed with the filling and returned about six months later for the second visit. At that appointment, she again told me I needed invasive dental work, describing a procedure that involved drilling through one tooth to access the side of another. Once again, when I tried to ask questions and understand the reasoning, I felt there was no openness to discussion. At that point, I decided not to continue as a patient. What makes this especially troubling is what I learned later. Two years after those visits, I saw another dentist I trust and had a full exam and X-rays done. I was told I have no cavities and that no treatment is needed. If the issue identified two years ago had truly been urgent or progressive, you would reasonably expect it to be worse by now. Instead, it doesn't appear to exist at all. Dentistry involves permanent, irreversible procedures, and patients deserve clear explanations, thoughtful discussion, and a willingness to answer questions -- especially when aggressive treatment is being recommended. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but based on mine, I would strongly encourage patients to ask questions, trust their instincts, and seek a second opinion before agreeing to invasive dental work.

Although I decided to move forward and even scheduled another appointment, I later shared my concerns with the front office in hopes they would be addressed professionally. Instead, I received a phone call from Dr. Jimmy at 5:57 p.m. During that conversation, after I explained that I was uncomfortable with his comment, he canceled my upcoming appointment. I was disappointed that my concerns were met with the cancellation of my care rather than an effort to understand or resolve the situation. I believe patients should be informed when their provider changes and should feel comfortable expressing concerns without worrying that their appointments will be canceled. I change my reading based on the new experience. If Dr. Howey was the sole provider I would still be a five star.
