Dr. Sue and her staff are WIZARDS!!!! My 9yo son is on the autism spectrum and had never had a complete dental exam or cleaning. The best we had previously gotten was him opening his mouth and letting the dentist look in, but with no instruments, not even the mirror. We were resigned to at some point needing to sedate him in order to get x-rays or (god forbid) fill a cavity. In one session, they had him helping to put the mirror in his mouth, a full visual inspection, flossing, and X-rays!!!! I was literally crying in the office watching it happen. We switched dentists due to ours moving out of state and Dr Sue came recommended by a classmate of ours. The office is nice with TVs above the chairs to entertain the kids but the chairs are fairly close to one another with no partition in between limiting privacy. The front desk was easy to schedule and communicate with but my kids weren't a huge fan of the hygienist saying that they were a little rough. Dr Sue herself . . . well, let's just say she wasn't the most professional in speaking about other dentists/orthodontists in the area. We left the office feeling like we greatly let our kids down in terms of their dental care. She was also speaking in front of the kids and they kept asking why Dr Sue didn't like the other providers. She also recommended an orthodontist saying that she was "the best" but upon consulting with said 70+ year old orthodontist, there are definitely different strategies and newer technologies out there. read more

Newport Pediatric Dentistry provided my kids with the best dental care experience. Dr Sue, the hygienists, and office staff were very friendly, professional, and very efficient. We were greeted warmly and promptly proceeded with our scheduled appointment. The entire staff was great at explaining and answering all the questions that had. I brought my 2 1/2-year-old twins into the clinic which was very clean and had a lot of fun things to do that were original and exciting from the gigantic light bright and child size chairs in the waiting room. The staff is incredible. They're very kind and informative and I definitely felt like we were in the right spot for My kids. The hygienist did as much cleaning as the children would allow one of my girls got more one got less. I felt great knowing that they were going to push the kids more than they were ready. Great experience for kids and parents! Dr Sue was highly recommended by a friend and after some research to find her rich history in dentistry, we decided to switch over. The online forms were super easy to fill out and appointments were easy. They accommodated my two kids (6 year old and 10 year old with braces) at the same time slot. When we got there, we were floored by how fun the office was. Everything brand new, from the waiting room to the exam area, everything was kid-perfect! There were TVs on the ceiling, a pac man arcade game, and of course those tokens for a fun toy at the end. Not only was the visit fun, Dr Sue was professional and explained everything in detail. Her experience really came through with all the questions I had. The kids loved how she connected with each of them individually. Since they were there together, while waiting for each other, they had lots of games to play with. They can't wait to go back! read more

I used to love this dentist until recently, my son needs a good amount of work done and his anxiety has recently gotten worse with visits, the staff at the slightest inconvenience has gotten very inpatient with my son. I can't always personally bring him myself so his grandma brought him last time he needed a cavity fixed, he acts out a little more with grandma, and he wouldn't sit for them... I asked if I could please bring him back myself because I talked with him and he told me he would let them do it now and they said no. The dentist is always busy, they say they will call back same day but don't. They even left me a message and told me to go to another dentist!? I am very nice, I never complain, I have never been unkind to staff and that is how they treat me? I haven't even talked with the dentist yet. How inappropriate. They want me to do it general anesthesia route and I just can't afford that right now at $1400 for just the anesthesia, and they aren't willing to try to see my son again. Anyways if your child has any anxiety I don't recommend this place, only go if it will be convenient for the staff or they will tell you to go somewhere else. Very disappointed. read more

Best kids dentist in Bellevue! Wow! Thank you Dr. Sue Choi and team for your great care of my daughter for her first dental visit. Our longtime family dentist recommended my kids see a specialist so we needed Dr. Sue to help on short notice with extracting baby teeth as my daughter's adult teeth had erupted behind. My own baby shark! For a first visit (that one would think would be traumatic) was so smooth. The team at Factoria's Newport Pediatric Dentistry did amazing! Extremely professional and detail oriented - helpful for Mom. Extremely good with kids and fun when appropriate - good for kids! My kid came home and told her sisters all about the great dentist and how fun it was to get her teeth out. Ha! We have a new dentistry home and are so grateful. We have been using Newport PDO now for over 2 years. What an awesome team. Thank you Dr. Sue! I can't recommend more highly. read more

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Sue, and the amazing staff at Newport Pediatric Dentistry. First of all, the entire office is designed for kids with xylophone benches, arcade type video games, an awesome light board and a complimentary "reward" token dispenser. More important than the decor however, is the service and "kids first" attitude. My son had his first visit with Dr. Sue, and he was expectedly difficult, screaming, crying, and non-compliant. Rather than force their agenda, they actually advocated taking breaks so they wouldn't force anything and help develop a relationship. I was very impressed with both the care and the philosophy of this practice, and will take both my kids here from this point on! read more

Took my 2.5 in for her first dental visit. The staff there is all so warm and welcoming and made me and my daughter instantly feel at ease. What could have been a stressful experience for me and a potentially traumatic experience for my daughter was light, cheerful and so easy. They clearly know their clientele and know how to make kids feel at ease in a situation that could otherwise feel really scary. The staff, from the desk to the hygienist, were all so warm and sweet and Dr. Sue is wonderful. The space is spotless, super kid friendly and very calm and serene, the perfect environment for any kiddo new to going to the dentist or one who hasn't had a good experience previously. Dr. Sue and staff answered all my questions and made sure they gave me lots of information. My daughter had such a great experience she asked when were leaving "Is it my birthday?" and has already asked me when we're going back to the dentist again. Can't get much better than that. 5 stars from me and I think my daughter would give it 10 stars if she could. read more

We came here for my daughter's check up after Covid. Oh my, she has so many cavities after almost 1.5 years of not being able to go to the dentist due Covid. Dr. Sue and her team was great! I recently took my 2 year old to her for her first dentist appointment. The staff was very caring and professional. My daughter is super fussy and always hated brushing so I knew it wouldn't be a pleasant experience. However, the staff was very patient with her. She actually cooperated for her teeth cleaning! The on ceiling cartoon was a bonus. Place was clean, and most importantly I liked that the office was not super packed! My son was seeing another dentist by factoria but I didn't like that their office was crowded with patients. Dr Sue was also more gentle with her approach. I plan to switch my son to her office from now on as well. Also, because it was her first dentist appointment they even took a picture of her teeth cleaning and placed it in a lovely card for me to take home as a souvenir which I thought was a lovely gesture. read more

My first experience with Dr Sue was amazing! I brought my 11 years old son (as a new patient) for emergency because he broke two of his front teeth during PE lesson at school. I was nervous and panic of not knowing which pediatric is good and available on Thursday afternoon which most of the dentistry were closed, and also accepting new patients, but when I arrived at Dr Sue's office, the staff handled the situation calmly and professionally. During the time, Dr Sue not only thoroughly explained the options to me, but she was willing to explain the situations to my husband over the phone, and this gesture was a plus! After the treatment, I decided for continuous dentist appointments and treatments, not only for my son but also for my 7 years old daughter.
