People in New York (not same York) go to the local bodega for their coffee....in the IC I come…read morehere...you may have to wait because the workers are also clients but it is well worth the wait. I am so old fashioned (like Kendra) that I believe in commitment and doing what you've been taught out of habit. People watch KGAN or KCRG because their parents did....come swing my way and go to KGAN...because that is where I got my start. I got yelled at, got yanked back at Hawkeye games for going outside the lines (I tried to get a better shot, BTW), and learned that you have to go places like College Station Texas to be a one band start up person to learn your craft. I bet the old Sports director Andy Garman at KGAN and the guys at KWQC for the Zone and WQAD for the Wild World of Sports watch my Tik Toks and are proud. Broadcasting is a revolving door and you have to have thick skin and slick shoes....I just had to do it my way like Grandma Sederquist did...sausages and all Until the end! Some stations had better equipment but the deuce knew I.did.not need to be impressed and liked going out in the most "hoop ti" ride ever. That guy at WQAD eating Taco Bell made fun of me for eating pb j 's but it was all I could afford with Michealena's frozen meals and I froze my licorice to savor it as dessert. Taco Bell was equivalent to prime rib (RIP Iowa Power & River Brunch) for me so you suck and it looked & smelled delicious. Those broadcasting days helped me figure out how to shoot and made lifelong friends with Mr. Brower, Jason, and all the boys behind the scenes. Dave Town will always be my favorite weather guy:)....I do watch Justin Robert's and think of all the sacrifices he made to get there...I admire you for living your Dream. At tv stations you get guidance but really you have to make it your own....It's time to pack up the kids...put the baseball gloves away and head out to Blue Grass for stock car racing. #Justdoit #familyevent #smellsaren'thatgreat. And don't forget your coffee @WildCulture before you do anything with my husband in Iowa City....it's my routine and I like consistency. If you're going to see my boyfriend in Chicago, or my mistress in Des Moines then you can grab any other coffee and maybe I'll have a #2....because #2 ain't that bad...Please don't judge me I'd like to join a mustard club, now taking recommendations. I hope KidRock has an email?!? Definitely grab some bacon at The Market in the IC!

Wild Culture is truly a gem of a watering hole on the North Side. It is an oasis of good vibes,…read moregreenery and a sexy menu for teetotalers and adult beverage enthusiasts alike. The booch menu is always changing. There's a bunch of craft beer options. Devine cocktails (many made with some seasonal kombucha). And coffee is offered here with a super limited snack menu. I stopped in on date night and had wonderful service, as well as a delicious Tom Collins. Pricing still seems on point. Seating is limited. Parking is always tough.
