Platform 909 is located off the freeway about 8 mins away from the Chino Hills Shoppes. They share a small parking lot with other businesses but I was lucky enough to locate a parking right outside the entrance last Saturday when I visited. The coffee shop was a decent size and had quite a few people there for brunch. Their sandwiches actually looked delicious, but since I had already ate, I just ordered their Cookie Butter Latte and a Chocolate Chip cookie. The Latte was a bit too sweet for me so I give it a 5/10. The cookie was pretty good - 7/10. There were 4 people working behind the counter and felt their customer service could be better. Might stop by for brunch one of these days.
I came back to grab a drink while I waited to order dinner at the sushi shop two stores down. I asked the employee what's the most popular matcha drinks and he recommended the one with banana foam or strawberry foam. I decided to go with banana. Ill give it to them, their matcha latte is good. The sweetness level was right, extra ice level was just enough, matcha flavor stood out but not too bitter, and no milky aftertaste. I enjoyed the banana foam on top, too. There's this restaurant in Irvine that has good matcha latte, but its nice to know I won't have to drive that far to get a good matcha drink. Be aware, you'll be paying over $8 for a matcha drink here, but its a nice indulgent. I will definitely come back to try coffee or coconut drink and food items next time. I heard their coconut is made inhouse so im wondering what that's about.
First time trying this place and it's cozy and comfortable. Everything on the menu looked good. I got a Strawberry Matcha Latte, an egg and bacon bagel and Oreo crepe cake. The strawberry matcha latte is silky, sweet just enough with the strawberry purée as a perfect touch. Definitely would order this again. I also tried the Cookie Butter latte - also amazing as well! The bagel sandwich is fresh, tasty and more than enough for me. The bagel was toasted perfectly, the cheese and the cream cheese spread on top was the perfect amount of creaminess. As a bacon lover I would have loved more bacon, personally, haha. The Oreo crepe cake was phenomenal, almost like a tres leche type, it was so good! All in all, I will definitely be back. My only bit of advice is maybe getting cups with their logo on it but seeing how packed it was on a Sunday makes me think they may not need the additional press! Amazing overall!
This is a cute, cozy coffee shop located inside a plaza behind a bank, so there is plenty of parking around. They have a decent amount of seating inside, and various tables for you to have a small group study session or coffee catch up with a friend. Service was okay, could be better on ensuring their tables are cleaner since I had to clean my table of the crumbs the previous customer left and there is only one bathroom. Regarding the menu, the prices are good for the drinks, but it is okay for the food. I ordered: -Basil Pesto Chicken Panini- Delicious, but it would have been great to have something like kettle chips and not the nacho and cheese kind. -Banana Pecan Latte- perfect amount of sweetness with the banana and the pecan makes the coffee not bitter. Overall, I really like this spot and looking forward to trying their matcha drinks.
I love coming to this place to study. I love the ambiance and decorations here. There is a back room to sit and eat/study at. Food and drinks are good and the staff is always friendly. But keep in mind sometimes this place does get busy so if you want a study seat next to an outlet just go early (:

I initially ordered 1 chicken panini, when the person handing out food called my name I of course went up to grab my food. She handed me two and kept insisting it was my order. After being on our LAST bite the lady comes out running to us saying we took someone's order. How is that possible if we were handed the food. My boyfriend went up to cashier because we were told to pay for the additional food. He explained the situation in whole to the cashier and she rung him up after he taps his card we are told " you didn't have to" The paninis aren't cheap $15.50. Very disappointed that we weren't even offered a refund for the additional sandwich. If we wanted extra food we would've ordered. -------------------- Business owner, Please indicate the accurate response that should've taken place when you ran up to us saying we took 2 orders. We are good people it's why we offered pay, but as a business owner we SHOULDN'T have been asked to pay. Additionally, as a customer why is up to ME to ask you to correct an order? Thank you for being passive aggressive in your response customers will keep note of this.
First time here and so HAPPY we came. My granddaughter wanted Matcha as she can't get GREAT Matcha in the small town she lives in. Tip: Starbucks Matcha is not it. We were kindly greeted when we entered. I ordered the Passion Fruit Slushie ($5.25) and my granddaughter ordered the Strawberry Matcha ($6.50). Our drinks are top tier delicious. This coffee spot is so nice with the warm lighting and plenty of seating. Ashley made our drinks and she's so pleasant. I'm sure I'll be back.
Just moved to the area and wanted to try a local coffee shop. First impression when I walked in was clean and professional. AC was on thank goodness since it was super hot outside! Decent amount of seating here. I love the plants and lights. They always liven the place up! Grabbed a table and ordered their iced Banana Pecan Latte and their Chicken Pesto Panini. ICED BANANA PECAN LATTE: On point. Not too sweet and just the right amount of foam and they even put actual pecans in the drink. I knew it would have a tad of sweetness but I don't like it when places overpower it with added syrup and sugar. This was perfect! CHICKEN PESTO PANINI: Hot, generous portion of cheese, chicken and filling. Can't complain. I would swap out the tortilla chips with something else however. I'd rather have some fresh fruit or side of potato salad. But I get it. I'm a business owner and I know all about "costs" lol. And they have desserts too!!! Love this coffee shop. All the workers are nice and it's quiet, calm and clean. No homeless using the restroom like Starbucks and no overpriced Latte's for $12.00. The vibe here is chill and relaxing. I think I found my new "go to" coffee shop. And yes they do have free WiFi. That's a must nowadays.
A cute little coffee shop tucked away in Chino Hills. Seems like a great place to relax, catch up with a friend, read a book, or even do some work on your laptop. The staff was friendly, helpful, and did not take too long preparing your order. I ordered the strawberry matcha for myself and the platform butterscotch latte for my mom. My mom said it was "better than Starbucks." I definitely agree. The matcha was not bitter and not overly sweet. It was just what I needed. I will definitely be coming back to try more.
I loved it here! I actually wasn't suppose to come here but the spot I was going to go do my homework at was waaayyy to crowded and when looking for another spot this one popped up and I'm so glad it did! You can kind of see in my picture there's a hallway and after that hallway is a rectangular table and a small high top table that was a bit more dim lit for ppl doing homework but it was full when I got there. Then they have some tables in the regular area and then some outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and honestly the ambiance was on point. The basil pesto chicken panini was good, it came with a side of chips and some nacho cheese dip which at first threw me off but honestly it was pretty good, the nacho cheese does have a hint of spice (not too spicy for me at all) but in case spice isn't for you. The banana matcha latte was good, I did get mine with oatmilk and I'm not sure if that added to how creamy it was but it was creamy, and I did enjoy the banana foam as it honestly wasn't too sweet which I love because I always get nervous since they usually are really sweet, and the almond croissant was good as well but I'm a sucker for one so I might be bias. As for how busy it was, I was there on Saturday between 1pm-3pm, when I first arrived it wasn't busy really but I noticed as I sat down they were in and out of small rushes but nothing too crazy, as for parking, it is in a parking structure so honestly there's a lot of parking. Overall I would def recommend coming and checking this place out!

I have been to Platform 909 a handful of times, and 3 out of the 2 have been disappointing I've ordered the banana match each time & the first time was great, which is why I went back! The 2nd time was horrible, the 3rd visit was great and the 4th & 5th visit... horrible. The drinks are inconsistent, I like a matcha to taste like matcha - while the drinks that were disappointing tasted just like milk. First time trying this coffee shop on Saturday morning. Very cute place located in a shopping center there is a ton of parking available. The shop is so cute and well decorated with lots of sitting areas and comfy chairs. They have a bigger table in the back for study groups. It's pretty quiet in the restaurant even when it's busy, so I think it would be a good place for studying.They also have food available sandwiches and pastries. The service is great the girls are very friendly and help with menu choices. I chose the butterscotch latte which was amazing! Definitely I would recommend. Also, got the breakfast sandwich croissant and butter pecan latte was good as well I would recommend. read more

I never leave reviews but WOW this place blew our expectations out of the window. We traveled about 30 minutes to try Platform 909 and we are so glad we did. It is a little pricy but so so worth the money. For two sandwiches and two large matches we spent $48. I would have no problem paying that again for the quality we received. The workers are sweet and the shop is perfect for studying, a lunch date with friends, or a quick bite to eat. Would give this place 10 stars if I could. Definitely try it out! read more

Been wanting to try this spot for awhile and came in today while needing to get some things done on my computer. Small shop however, plenty of seating inside with really cute decor, I believe it's Harry Potter theme or something along the lines, buI the ambiance was great for chillin and getting work done. Staff was a younger crowd, seemed friendly and enjoyed each others company. I told my partner over the phone what a great breakfast menu they had, and I look forward to returning to try more food options! Great coffee! read more
This is one of my go to spots for coffee or breakfast. Love how they have quality coffee as well as boba drinks if that's what our mind desires that day. Service is great, place is comfortable and quiet to study or work. Too bad they don't have Almond Milk Tea anymore but I typically order their Lattes anyways. This time I ordered their Lavender latte which was good and not extremely milky or sweet. Breakfast croissantwich- croissant is very good and soft. Egg is fluffy. I order this every time, but overall it's typically very buttery and cheesy. If you like cheese and sauce, this is for you. I may need to ask them to hold off on cheese/sauce next time to keep it extremely simple before I keep needing to force myself to finish the last bite. read more

The drinks were delicious and service was fast. We arrived around 12pm on a Saturday and there were about 5 ppl in the line before us. The ambiance is a great vibe. They have good seating with more tables in the back with one large table that can fit a larger party. The place is clean. They have brunch and their food options look tasty. They have ube flavored crepes which looked bomb. We ordered the Honey Bear Latte (hot) and Ginger Peach Green Tea (iced). I looooved the Honey Bear. It was just the right amount of sweetness. Such a cute shop! The drinks are delicious, and they have an amazing chocolate chip scone that I would happily come back for again and again. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that most of the chairs aren't very comfortable. There are only a couple of cushy seats, and the rest, especially in the back, are metal and not great for staying awhile. I'd love to see them swap those out for something with at least a little padding. Other than that, this place is the best! read more

SERVICE DOGS DO NOT NEED A LABEL OR A VEST ACCORDING TO THE AMERICAN WITH DISABILITIES ACT LAW I have been coming to platform 909 since around 2020. It was always my number one spot to study and get a drink with my service dog. It used to be an amazing atmosphere before new ownership took over this coffee shop. I have met the new owner although she is nice and they produce good drinks it's not worth going to anymore due to the staff and how unwelcoming it has become. Today I thought I would take my service dog back down to platform 909 for old times sake. The staff were very rude about my service dog being in the cafe. I asserted my rights according to ADA law. Your staff are not properly trained in how to react to disabled people and their medical equipment. The way I was treated was very inappropriate and made me feel so unwelcomed as a woman with epilepsy who has lived with this disability since I was a child. I have pictures of my service dog in platform 909 as far back as 2021. (Which I have attached) Service dogs do not have to wear a service vest according to ADA law. It is almost 90 degrees outside and I will not put on my service dogs vest just to please these workers. You can also not use an excuse such as dog allergies to kick out a service animal and its disabled handler. According to the ADA government website a service dog will always trump a workers "allergy". My service dog is clean, he laid quietly under a table and did not approach workers or customers. He knows his job and knows the standards he is held to. I will not be coming back again due to how they treat disabled people and if you have a disabled family member I would steer clear of platform 909. To the owner I would recommend looking on the ADA website and training your staff on service animals and dealing with disabled individuals read more

If you're looking for a flavorful avocado toast this is the place to go to around here. It's very filling too. The employees were kind. Good came out very fast. The black tea was good but a little cloudy. The pastry selection is mouthwatering. The best part is truly the ambiance. You can really tell they took their time making this place. First time coming here and im in love with this place! the ambiance is so beautiful i loved the way they decorated the place with the brick walls, theres even a hidden hallway that leads to more seating and that place looked so cozy and relaxing, overall the whole place is so stylish and cozy. Not to mention the food, the bacon & avocado bagelwich i got was delicious it tasted so fresh! and the banana matcha i ordered was absolutely BOMB, my favorite and i don't even drink matcha like that. I definitely recommend this place, i'll be revisiting and taking my friends and my mom here because its so good read more

Second time here and the drinks are great. Well crafted. Today I decided to try a croffle and it did not disappoint. I had a strawberry chacha aka iced matcha with strawberry cold foam, large size. It was so good. The service was great. The girls are always so informative and polite. They've been able to answer all my drink questions, which is always a plus. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Lots of space to work in. I feel like the temp is always on heater mode though. lol. Seating available outside. Some great reads available on the wall. It's definitely a spot worth going to read more

You don't need reservations, I believe they start their food menu after 9am...its after their second person gets there.

Are all food items (including brunch) served all day?
From what I experienced it isn't
Can we go inside to see the decor when ordering? also is there any butterbeer drinks?
While there is no indoor dining due to health department restrictions, you can view most of the decor while waiting to order or pick up your order. There is a butterbeer drink!
Do they have outside seating to dine in with COVID guidelines?
They have three or four tables along the outside of the building
Do they have vegan food?
They don't have vegan food but they have vegan friendly milk subs! :)
What's the platform special drink that they have?
I think the platform special is suppose to be a butter-beer style drink similar to the Harry Potter drink. They also have rainbow Spanish lattes.
Has anyone had the chai tea latte? I haven't seen any pictures of it.
yes! it's very good! i usually have it with oat milk.
