It took forever, and once we were in the process I couldn't wait till it was over. It felt like the Three Stooges were sent to do the work. The painting had to be redone several times -- their "team" clearly had no idea what they were doing. We had to have them rebuild the door at least twice, because the quality was truly subpar. Six months later, the door is already showing age (see photo). They were careless with the space (inside the patio, and in the surrounding garden). They never cleaned up after themselves. I had to entirely cut back one of the plants behind the patio because it was so badly broken. I'd find nails and debris around outside that I would have to throw away; they brought plastic, but barely covered our patio furniture (so I did that myself); and they broke one of our side tables. Attention to detail was absent -- I've attached photos of just SOME of the trim corners that do not match up -- there are gaps instead. Chad and his son Adam were nice enough, but we were paying for something that should've looked excellent in the end. It looks OKAY (if you don't really look at the details), and it was no fun getting there. I would absolutely suggest using a different contractor.

It took 8 years of repeatedly harassing them to get it done. Was given the run around the whole time. After about 3-4 years deck started coming apart - stairs pulling away from deck, railings were failing. Spoke with builder about this and some other issues. He said he would take care of it, made several attempts to contact and schedule before being given a number for his sub-contractor. Subcontractor never answered phone or returned messages, attempted for 4 years to get this resolved, then was told we had to go through warranty company who said warranty did not cover. Most of the windows in the house were not sealed correctly and have huge drafts everywhere - another thing the developers and builder claimed they would get taken care, and as yet have failed to make the slightest attempt to work with us on. We have drywall that wasn't put up straight, carpentry that is just wonky. A water heater that had a overflow tank too small for the size of the heater installed. I've repaired the HVAC units multiple times. Most of the doors in the home no longer latch properly. Continuous, constant issues with subpar subcontractor work where these guys have clearly tried to get an expensive home thrown together cheap with no regard for the fact this is supposed to be someones home.

The concrete we added to the posts wasn't a problem for my husband because we had no choice and unfortunately we had to do that not long after install. They've been in business for 50 years, and that experience shows--excellent craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and a crew that's genuinely personable and easy to work with. Overall high value. What I appreciated most was how knowledgeable they are and how clearly they explain options. They walked me through several upgrade possibilities and helped me understand design choices I hadn't even considered (especially gabled roof options). No pressure--just honest guidance and solid communication. If I ever deal with repairs or storm damage, they'll be the first company I call. Highly recommend.

This is my second review for Driveways By Daniels…read more David and Melanie came out and gave me a bid when they said they would. The bid was reasonable and was accepted that day. I was told three weeks and that is pretty close to the start day except for a couple of rain out days. David arrived and within a few hours he had finished tearing out the old patio and he had an understanding of the original project and a new one that I had added that would be approx. 1,000 sq. ft. Tearing out and hauling away, framing and pouring concrete was the order of the day for quite a while, all while trying to dodge the weather systems as they rolled through. The concrete was poured in stages, and some touch up work had to be done because as David said, "this is not up to my standards." That tells me that he has very high standards and will make sure that every job is done right and finished right. They cleaned up and they are for the most part gone. David told me today that he has one more thing he wants to clean up but that the temp had to be above 50 degrees to complete. The bottom line is this... Would I hire him again? Absolutely yes. David smiles a lot, has a great disposition, is very accommodating, and generally a great person to have around, and he does great concrete work.

I contracted with them to upgrade our master bath and kitchen in April, 2018. It took forever to get subs on site to do the work. The work was estimated to take three months. Granted we were away most of the month of June, but work was slow. We had to insist on many call backs. The subs used by Urban Renovations are truly inferior in my opinion. The plumbers cut supporting joists in the crawl space that had to be reinforced. There were countless callbacks for painting, tile work and carpentry. To make matters worse the Supervisor stopped calling me back with many punch items outstanding. I finally called the company owner who told me he had fired the Supervisor and he would take control of out project. It took several months to get the final items taken care of. I am not totally satisfied with the result, but after almost a year dealing with a projected three month project it was time for me to realize I did not deal with the "A" Team. Four business days the owner sent me a text asking if I mailed the final payment. He got his payment in the mail that day. Urban Renovations Group should have the same sense of urgency on my project as I had in us making a timely payment for the amount due. Buyer Beware!
