My family member's factory radio control unit unexpectedly stopped working. Of course when she went to the dealership first, and they wanted to charge her an arm and a leg. After shopping around at a couple of other places, she decided to go with Car Stereo City. Emad is the man... he laid everything out. He presented several options, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the brands, the features, and so forth. It came down to a choice between Pioneer and Kenwood. She ended up going with the Kenwood. Emad explained what they would do and gave her a nice deal. He provided an estimate of how long the work would take, and it was actually completed a little earlier than expected. They kept the car clean, no trash or debris anywhere in sight, and nothing on the floor mats. The installation was nice and clean (see photo). Emad took the time to show her how everything worked and answered any/all questions she had. The shop itself is very easy to find (on Claremont Mesa Boulevard near the 163 freeway) and the show room is super clean. They have a lot of products laid out and you can ask for a demo. They did such an a amazing job assisting me with the installation of a Wolfbox rear view mirror dashcam that I had to circle back and highlight just how satisfied I've been with their installation and support. I was looking to install a backup camera and upgrade the stereo system for my Lexus SC430. I called and spoke to ZEE to get a rough estimate of the costs before stopping by the store. ZEE immediately greeted me, examined the car, discussed the options (keeping functionality of the original navigation system vs not). He showed me the different stereos on display and then gave me a quote with all the supplies plus labor needed. Came into the place skeptical most places do not know how to deal with a new car and was told by other places to trouble shoot a problem will take 4+ hours leaving me to drive a rental for the day. I ended up calling this place and Emad immediately answered and listened to my situation and gave me clear no bullshit answer saying it will not take no longer than 2 hours and they WILL find the issue. After dropping off the vehicle it took around an hour and a half to diagnose the problem and come up with solutions. I was originally concerned if I replace the head unit and amp my speakers will still not work. Although Emad and Richard gave me 100% guarantee it will fix the issue and if it didn't they will tear everything out no issue and try something else. I then gave 100% trust into the two and also asked to get 2 inch subs installed. They told me everything ill need and gave me accurate prices and even price matched everything. After 30 minutes of decision making Richard went into action and told me he can do a 9+ hour job in 5 hours to get it done the same day. Emad and Richard ended up staying A HOUR after closing to finish my vehicle and finish the job in perfect condition. I was originally looking for a shop that would fix the touchscreen on my Camry, or replace the monitor on the factory stereo that stopped working. I happened to come across this shop on accident. I thought I was going to another shop down the street, but ended up here. However, it was probably the best mistake I ever made. I had the chance to work with Brandon and Emad and both were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. After speaking with them, I decided to upgrade to a 10" Pioneer stereo with carplay. Instant upgrade and crowd pleaser with my wife. But it didn't stop there, I ended up buying dash cams for my car and my wifes. The Acumen rearview mirror with 4k is amazing. And on top of that, I got my car windows tinted wrap around at the same time my car stereo and dash cam were being installed. I had a couple issues after installation and Brandon and Emad were both like, bring it back and let us make the quick adjustments. The issue was the installers, stereo fit in perfectly but the surrounding trims we got the issue... see pics. not sure why the installers used a MARKER to mark on my drivers side window panel and them straight up used glue like substance to fill in a mistake (looks like they ripped part of the dashboard and tried to fill it up) . To sum this up for anyone who doesn't want to read my entire post. I'm extremely happy with my sound system and I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for a real high end sounds system. For anyone who wants to read about my experience please read on. I bought a Volkswagen GTI to have some fun with. Nothing big or too expensive just something sensible to build and enjoy. I'm on what could be perceived as the midlife crisis side of car enthusiast. But I like to look at it as someone who didn't spend frivolously until they had the income to do so. With that said I am no where near rich so I saved up a decent amount to spend on a moderate sound system. And please know that aftermarket sound systems and custom work cost money and takes time and skill so realize you're going to pay a decent amount for stellar work. Upgraded component speakers up front, coax in the back (for now) one 12" subwoofer and a 5 channel amp to run the whole thing. I decided to keep the stock head unit to keep that stock appearance to hopefully not look to enticing to any thieves. I have had a few cars broken into and it sucks! The reason I chose CSCSD is because the shop was very clean and well kept and Brandon as my sale person was chill and didn't try crapping on what I wanted for my system. He added to it and not in the up sale manner but in a this would be good for what your saying you want type of manner. And most of all he offered to let me see some of his work and he let me listen to a system they just installed in another person car (respectfully of course). It's getting harder to find good examples of aftermarket sound systems because factory sound systems have gotten so "good enough" but if you know about aftermarket sound systems then you know!! They put even top of the line factory sound systems to shame and I will stand on that statement! They transform the truck of my hatchback into a functional and well done clean setup! So to close and not make this too long Brandon and the crew really made my vision come to life and I can't wait till I have the funds to continue building my system with the crew of Car stereo city San Diego! Ok... Normally i have my preferred place to go for tint and stereo upgrades, but my guy wasnt returning my phone calls, so i decided to start looking around. I have known about this place for a while and they have helped me on a few little things, but this was my brand new truck and I was nervous about going to someone new. I started talking to Brandon via email ( for 3 days! Lol). He was very responsive, so I went in and talked to him and set an appointment for the next day. The result of being my father's daughter, I am extremely picky when it comes to my car, in this case, being my sound system. I bought a brand new 2023 Lexus IS 350 and I could not stand the subpar stock system it came with. Brandon and his team were able to help me out. We went with a Kenwood x802-5 Excelon and the Kenwood Excelon P-XW1221SHP to match along with Alpine speakers. I was skeptical of a 12" sub for the size of my car, but I can say that I'm not disappointed in the sound my new system is able to produce. I did, however, have to do my own tuning to get it completely where I wanted it. But after all is said and done, no complaints on my end! They were also able to do my tint in the same trip.
