I came here because of good reviews on Yelp. I made an appointment because it said it's usually busy but week day afternoon it wasn't needed. I use DIP now all the time and they had lots of different colors and fun green for St. Patrick's day. The quality and time my manicure took was great. I would have given five stars however their credit card machine had been down for days before I called and they never told me that before I made an appointment said I had to go got what ATM beforehand. The owner likes to say "you get what you pay for". Maybe he should not be saying such things when he charges top dollar for sub par work. If you don't have time to take a last minute appointment, don't! My nails are clumpy, lumpy, and the tips are filed crooked and jagged on multiple nails. This is the worst manicure I've ever had. No soak, no lotion, no anything other than a quick file (when I asked for them to be cut down short), a sloppy gel polish application, and no resemblance of a massage with lotion. Go to the mall, it's just not worth your hard earned dollars to be treated like an inconvenience. I think the owner was more concerned with his waxed arms for his upcoming vacation. read more

An amazing nail salon with technicians who care about their work and were friendly on our visit. There's a huge polish selection to choose from - including powder, gel, and regular - as well as a ton of other services offered here. They do charge a non-refundable deposit for first-time appointments (which will be used as a credit towards your service!), but it really shouldn't keep you from coming in. I know I'll be coming back! PROS: -I came in looking for a regular polish change, but after talking with the receptionist, they let me know the pros and cons of gel polish - and I decided to try gel instead. I was still entirely new to gel, but the nail technician didn't make me feel dumb, and they were pretty friendly about explaining the colors and care. -Both my fingernails and toenails looked *gorgeous* after I was done. No "coloring outside the lines". Very nicely rounded edges. Absolutely no complaints about the quality of the polish that was done here. -A ridiculous amount of color options - for regular polish, gel polish, and powder polish. You could come here for years and still never manage to try all of them. It's got to be up in the 200 or 300 range. They have regular colors, bright colors, neutrals, beautiful gem shades, shades with sparkles, and more. -The staff definitely takes their time with your nails. I was worried that my appointment would run longer than their closing time, and low and behold, it did. The staff didn't rush to finish the nails, and even though we were late leaving, they were nothing but friendly and polite. It was really nice to experience. -In addition to having my nails and toes done, a male-presenting partner of mine had them done as well. The staff was nothing but nice and friendly to him - despite a male in a nail salon being a (likely) rare occurance. CONS: -Prices are a bit above-average, but they're nothing crazy. I've seen a lot higher prices in the local area. -In order to reduce no-show appointments, the salon requires a non-refundable deposit to book your appointment slot for first-time customers. While the $10 per person isn't crazy (and it'll be used as a credit towards your bill when you show up), it's something to be aware of before you book. -There's a sign in the back near the children's pedicure area that says "No Boys Allowed". It's clearly a cute store-bought sign that you'd throw in a girl's bedroom, but I'll admit I was a bit sad to see it. Little boys (and adult men too!) should be free to come in and get pedicures and manicures if they'd like, and continuing a harmful societal stereotype makes me sad. Amazing nail place! I am in town for the holidays and waited too long and couldn't get my nails done before I left Chicago. Found this gem as I was looking for a place who did dipping powder, no idea it was by appointment only (I can't read). The sign said they will take walk-ins if there is availability, so I hesitantly walked in. I mean it is the holidays and asked if they could accommodate and they graciously were able to! I got just a basic pedicure and my nails fixed all festive like. The owner, or one of the owners??, did my nails and he was so nice. Took his time to make sure they were prepped properly for the dipping powder (I have very frail and brittle nails that break and split easily) If I still lived here this would definitely be my go to place for my nails. I really appreciate them taking me in! I couldn't be more happier and got lots of compliments on my nails last night! read more

Picked this place based on the reviews, and it sure did live up to them! I had a horrible set of acrylics on and several broken nails, but my tech took the time to properly remove them, even though there were several people waiting behind me. I ended up going with gel instead of acrylic, and I sure do love it! Service was very friendly and there was a group of ladies there at the same time who seem to be very happy regulars. In the 20 plus years I've been getting manicures, this is the first salon I've found which refuses to provide the mini massage after. That's usually, for me and many others, the best part of the manicure. i don't wear polish, and bite my nails, so all I do is just get the cuticles trimmed to keep my hands at least looking clean. So-I paid 15.00 just to get cuticles. When she did that and said I was done, I asked "no massage?". The tech said no, that it only comes with the deluxe manicure. The massage would cost another 10 dollars. I thought she was joking! The salon owners were sitting near one another, so on my way out, I mentioned that this was a first, and that I wouldn't be back. Max just shrugged, and the wife reiterated loudly that no massage included in basic. This is not posted anywhere in the salon. I would not recommend this place and I feel ripped off. read more

Went here because it displays walk ins welcome. Went with my coworker and we were greeted with looks like , "what are doing here". The young lady shuffled through and appointment book MIND YOU IT SAYS THEY WELCOME WALK INS. She proceeds to go to an older gentleman and tells him what we need. He proceeds to go through the people coming in and says ," No no can't take them because Nacy is coming in". So we just walked out and decided to go somewhere else. If you have people coming in for gel manicures that isn't a long task and you should change your business to appointment only if you are going to act like it's a hassle to fit people in. read more

I got a no-chip mani at platinum nails several weeks ago. While the customer service aspect of my visit was pleasant, the manicure was sloppy; one week after my appointment my no-chip mani was peeling off my nails (I posted a photo here). I regularly have no-chip manis done at other salons and have never had this issue. I was upset about the mani but don't live in Dayton so I couldn't return to have them fix it, and I'm not so sure I would have confidence that the same thing wouldn't happen again. read more

I was referred to this salon by a current client and am so happy I took her advise. I was able to make a same day appointment during a week day. The salon is owned by a husband and wife team; Mrs. removed my powder and did a new set of acrylics for me. She was warm and pleasant and very good. Very pleased with the service I received on Friday, Mar. 15, 2019. I was fortunate to get service as a walk-in. I got a pedicure/dip powder nails (removed/powder back on). The owner (the man) was very professional with fitting me in to their schedule. He did my nails, and is truly knowledgeable about the health of your nails. Very honest about my the health of my nails, and made sure I knew exactly what I needed in order to strength my nails more. The pedicure paint job was excellent! After my nail artist suny left for Cleveland I tried several nail spots with no satisfaction.  Today not only did I get my nails filled she fixed all the flaws the other nail techs I tried inflicted. I am a bartender and because my hands are constantly in water I am hard on acrylic nails. I am just glad to of finally found a new nail artist with skill. first impressions are everything!! wanted to get my nails done after work so I found a place with good reviews in the area and this place is open the latest since I'm not off til 6:30, and they had the best reviews. I'm off early and walk in around 6:20 and I'm waiting for service. when someone finally does come to the counter I tell him what I would like and he says they can't take me because they only had TWO nail technicians working that day, and because they closed at 7:30? their website AND the sign on their door clearly states 8:00pm and they could have easily had time for me. first impressions can be tough, and they just lost a potential regular customer. read more

I went here with my mom and sister before my wedding in September for my first ever pedicure. I had never been here before and only went because it's close to my apartment. The owners (a husband & wife team) were really friendly and chatted with us as they gave us our pedicures, and the experience was really pleasant and our feet ended up looking/feeling great! The best part, though, was the friendly service the owners gave us. The woman who did me was tolerant of my super ticklish feet, and her husband gave my sister (an aspiring aesthetician) some really good career advice while he did her feet. Yes, their little granddaughter does sometimes run around the salon, but she's adorable! She didn't bother us at all, except to show/tell us about her stuffed animals. Just went to this salon today (my first time going to one in about 2 years) and I was pleasantly surprised. There was only 1 other customer in there today so I got in quickly, but it was 10:30am. If you want a later appointment (after 7pm) you have to call to put in a reservation. The techs are super friendly and knew what they were doing. What a Rip Off! I have no idea how these people are in business so please don't give them yours! Went here for a good relaxing time. I was charged $35 for a gel manicure and didn't even get any lotion or my hand massage! When I first sat down I asked my tech if she could put horizontal stripes on some of the nails for an accent she replied "I don't have time for that". Went here for the first time last week and was not disappointed! I called ahead to let them know that three of us would be coming (girls night) and they were ready for us when we arrived. Max, the owner, was very nice and did a great job on my shellac nails. The little girl that was mentioned in the other review was there, but did not cause any trouble and was actually very cute and entertaining. Considering the fact that it is hard to find a decent nail salon with nice staff and reasonable prices in Dayton, I would say this place is awesome. I recommend. read more
