Travis was awesome! I had such a difficult tire that was really stuck as it had corroded quite a bit. He worked tirelessly on it but it wouldn't budge for quite some time. I would have lost my shit trying to deal with it myself but he stuck with it and got creative in such a small space to work in - and viola! - success! Car broke down so I called Progressive Insurance who sent my case to Platinum Towing. Two hours later they still haven't arrived.

Garbage. Awful, rude, and disgusting. I locked my keys in the car (bonehead move, I know). Called my insurance company, they sent a Platinum Towing driver. He was 30 minutes late, but honestly I'm cool with that - I figured he was just busy, so no problem. But this fool calls me on the phone -- doesn't say a single word...no hello, doesn't introduce himself, nothing -- so I start talking then he responds with nothing but disrespect, as if I'm somehow causing him problems? Then he eventually shows up, late. Parks in the middle of the road, blocking cars from using the road - when there were literally six open spots along the curb to park in; he just wanted to block traffic, there's no other reason. He gets out of his truck, and again doesn't say hello or introduce himself. So I say hello, and silence follows. Awkward and unprofessional. So I start talking, saying "thanks for helping me man, I can't believe I locked my keys in my car! Bonehead move, but you know, these things happen." His response? "No, they don't." Taken aback, I paused and then said "well...yeah, they do. That's why they have roadside assistance and stuff, right? People make mistakes, I mean, these things happen." To which he replies "NO, they don't. This doesn't happen. People just need to not be stupid." I bit my tongue, because I just wanted my keys and wanted him to leave. So I watched in silence as this pathetic human being popped my door open to access my keys (I thank him for that, and only that). This triggered my car alarm; he roughly throws the keys at me and says "do what you gotta do", walks away in silence, gets in his truck, and drives away. This despicable person doesn't deserve a paycheck or a job, let alone a job that puts him into contact with people that just want/need help. I can ONLY imagine how poorly this man treats people who've had their vehicle towed, are outside in the rain, etc. Absolute disgrace. Chances are you're reading this after having your own terrible experience with this company because your insurance company dispatched them, but, in the event that you actually have a choice in the matter -- do NOT call these people. read more

Not a freaking fan of this place! My daughter ran the battery dead in my car in Seattle. Thankfully I have roadside assistance with my insurance. I made the call to get a jump, and got confirmation platinum towing would be coming to jump my car. Almost 2 hours later someone finally showed up. It was almost 1 hour after their ETA. I was highly irritated that this company never bothered to call me, I had to call them. Then I noticed my insurance company put in the wrong address, so I gave Cameron the tow truck driver the right address and he told me he would be there in about 5 mins. 18 mins later he calls me to tell me he's there, but he's not because he didn't listen to the address. Total lack of concern or apology. The lady that answered my phone call as super rude too. I would never willingly give this company my business again. read more

Towing provided by Allstate. Person on the phone was very professional and got me what I needed when I told him my situation. Tow truck driver got to my car within the arrival time. Only problem is when he got to where my car needed to be the driver dropped off my car and didn't even bother trying to park it close to the curb. It was damn near in the middle of the road where I live. Then the driver just said aight and left. Sad thing is I had to roll my car two houses down the hill to get it out of the way. read more

They tell me they didn't have enough drivers so they had to call some in to get the job done..then it was yet another hour before the guy shows up. What a joke. This place is AWFUL! Do not by any means, if your life depended on it, do business with these people. From the supervisor, dispatcher to actual drivers. I had to have my car towed to a shop due to an alternator, they didn't have a way to jump it, so they pushed it out of my garage. While they were pushing it out, one of the drivers left the driver side door open, and they hit a cement staircase, which ended up damaging the door. Now it cannot be closed properly, and will need to be replaced. These people are the worst!!! Stay away. I can assure you they will have severe consequences and will be liable for my door. read more

Sent out about a half hour ago to help me with a dead car battery. The guy pulled up, got cables out and told me to go ahead; I said, "Oh, what do I do?" He tells me to start my car and it starts! I roll my window down to wait for next instructions (never had a dead battery or jumped a car). He puts cables away, pulls his truck in front of me, then shuts my hood and signals for me to get out of car to sign "paperwork." I thank him a lot, tell him I am so happy it stopped raining for him and get back in car and start it. Doesn't start. Get out and run up to his truck to tell him. He asks, "Did you turn it off? Why would you turn it off!?" I told him I have never done this before, I didn't know. And apologize. Asked him if he could rejump it. He said "No, they will charge me another $45. I feel bad but no, I already closed the job. I can't start another." I said, "But my window is down now." He legit does not care. Won't even unbuckle his seat belt. When it is very obvious that he is not going to help me, I say okay, that's fine and get in my car and call roadside assistance again. It is now pouring, it is super windy, cold, and I am waiting for another company to be sent out. My car is getting soaked on the inside. read more

My insurance company called these guys through my roadside assistance coverage when my battery died. They gave me an ETA of half an hour. 45 minutes later I called to make sure they had the right address. They didn't, but the driver was still 25 minutes out so I gave them the right address. 45 minutes later my phone was dying so I tried to call to get an ETA they would snap please hold and put me on hold before I could say my phone is dying. So I'd call back and they'd do it again until my phone did actually die. 15 minutes later I was able to get a friend out to jump my car. These guys are scamming insurance companies. If they're assigned to you when you need help, do yourelf a favor and request a different company. read more

I was assigned this company through road side assistance from Mini Cooper for a Jump Start. After assigned, I called them to confirm the address and appointment. I was told 20 minutes so I went to my garage to get the car ready and wait. I came back up after 30 minutes and called Platinum Towing again. A young lady said I missed her call and I had to start over with my roadside assistance company to schedule again. I was rudely told, I tried calling you - it's not my fault you didn't pick up the phone. I asked for her name and she hung up on me. My car wouldn't start when I was at work and my husband was out of state so I had to use the emergency roadside assistance through my insurance. My insurance sent a tow truck from Platinum Towing to take my vehicle to the mechanic to get fixed. First problem was the tow truck was over an hour late. Not the end of the world, but frustrating. The tow truck driver was nice but he kind of slipped up his words when talking to me and explained that he was tired because he had been working since 4am that morning. This was at 7pm. I was very uneasy about him towing my car at the end of a 15 hour work day but I felt I had no choice so I said goodbye and hoped for the best. The next morning I called the mechanic and they said they couldn't find my car keys anywhere! SOMEONE LOST MY KEYS! They claimed that they had never been dropped into the key drop and were not on the ground anywhere in the lot. I called the tow company right away (it was around 10am) and was told that the tow truck driver was at home sleeping and they wouldn't be able to reach him until 2pm. I received no apology and they took no ownership of the problem at all. They simply tried to brush it off and make me wait for the driver to "wake up." At this point my husband got involved. He called the tow company a few times over the next few hours and was told conflicting stories about whether or not they had spoken with the driver about the keys. We realized that someone was lying to us. Again, no apology, no ownership, no nothing. Of course it could have been the mechanics who actually lost our keys instead of the tow truck driver, but the way that the tow company told us conflicting stories, made us wait on hold to speak to their manager for 10 minutes at a time until I finally gave up, and the general lack of compassion and kindness they showed us makes me want to blame the is company. Plus their driver had admitted to being really tired the night before and people forget things when they are tired. If they had simply owned up to it, I would not have been very mad. Sure it was annoying (our only other set of car keys was with my husband in another state) but mistakes happen and can be fixed. Because no one owned up to losing my keys, however, we had to pay a locksmith to make us new keys and it took an extra day to get our car fixed. We have no other vehicles so this resulted in expensive uber rides and inconvenient bus rides. For sure not the end of the world, but very frustrating when I wasn't the one responsible for losing the keys. The keys were never found. The tow company never apologized or seemed to give a crap. Moral of the story is don't use this company if you want to deal with respectful, professional, or compassionate people. They are the worst. read more

On star dispatched the eta was 50 -60 minutes nope no one called until over 1hour and a half I finally get a call asking where are you? I send them location he says I just past you I'll come back in a bit. Never came back. Then on star calls me he wants to get paid, I told them I'm still waiting! In the end they no showed still wanted payment from onstar!!! They had to call someone else to come help. I want a formal apology to remove this. read more

Great service. The tow operator showed up 20 minutes early and quickly had my car on the flatbed. From the time they picked up the car to the time they dropped it off a mile away, only about 15 minutes had passed, very quick for a tow. read more

A nightmare to work with. Platinum Towing was informed that my car was in a low-clearance garage, were scheduled for 9-9:30 am, rescheduled for 10:30, came by and decided they weren't going to tow the car and did not call. An hour later I found out they had cancelled my tow. I got about 10 friends to push my car out of the garage, up a ramp, and onto the street so they could tow it, and re-engaged Platinum Towing for the afternoon. They missed a 2:30 and 4:30 appointment and then I found out they had cancelled my tow again. read more

No one gives towing companies a positive review so I'm going to! I was out of gas and knew I couldn't make it to the gas station from my house. It was a crappy morning and my dog Wookie was loose and would not come in, I had been running around like a crazy person all over my yard. I called my roadside assistance so I could get the gas and get to work. They dispatched platinum with a 60 min ETA. Shoutout to Alin! He was on time and really friendly! He gave me the gas, while I vented about my crappy morning. He offered to help try and get Wookie in. He was able to stand at the fence and able to get him corralled into my car. He went way above the call of duty. I appreciate it so so much. read more

This company, staff and dispatch service deserve 0 stars. I requested service at 8:40pm last night and received confirmation they would arrive at 9:48pm. Everytime I contacted them to see where the driver was, they said the driver was 20 minutes away. This went on until 11:15pm and I cancelled the tow service because the last call, Sabrina, told me the tow driver was heading the opposite direction of where my vehicle was and it should only take about 30 minutes to get back to me... I eventually received a call after mid-night from the tow driver and he was rude and told me to save my breath and was there to tow my vehicle, over 3 hours later. Horrible experience -- Big D towing towed my vehicle within 10 minutes of calling. To the owner of the company reading this -- your dispatch service has terrible customer service skills and dishonest on every level. read more

Same as all the other reviews. All I need is a jump, Subaru roadside assistance set me up with these guys for 10:07am (I called at 9:15). Come 10:22 I called, they said the driver would be there in "12 minutes." according to GPS. Called again at 10:40, they put me on hold and never picked up again. Now when I call them they keep sending me straight to a silent hold without picking up. (And yeah, I'm being polite on the phone, not cussing anyone out). Called Subaru, who called them and they said they were "stuck in traffic but would be there in 10-15 minutes." Give me a fucking break. I've driven in Seattle traffic every day. If the GPS says you'll be there in 10 minutes at 10:22, there's no way it will take until 11:15 to get there. I have now lost over half a day's work to these idiots. read more

If I could give 0 stars I could. In the past couple of years, I have had first-hand knowledge of how Platinum Towing treats their customers. My insurance company must choose the tow company who says they could get to the job the fastest. The problem is they are always late. They must state they can get there quickly but never can. 1st experience: Last year I ordered a tow truck. Platinum was supposed to be an hour away. Over 3 hours later, the tow truck finally showed up. I was kind of upset with the driver. He showed me the text he received for the job 50 minutes prior to arriving to give me the tow. 2nd experience: Platinum's estimated time of arrival to pick up my car was 9:46 am. At 10:25 am I called to find out what was going on and the dispatcher told me the truck was 30 minutes away. I then called back at 11:15 am and a new dispatcher told me the tow truck broke down and a new one would arrive in 35 minutes. I was not happy and voiced my displeaser. I then received a text with a map of where the tow truck who was supposed to tow me was and it was 52 minutes away. I then called my insurance company back and canceled the tow. I will NEVER use them again. read more

Only positive is that they actually did show up 4.5 hours after we called. Usaa does roadside assistance through this company. If it ends up that you get them, be prepared for a very long wait. Tonight I witnessed their stupidity in action, instead of hooking up from the rear of the vehicle and pulling straight out, they decided to fight loading it from the front for over an hour and then another 15 minutes trying to turn around because vehicle was toward a dead end road. Called Geico and asked them to cancel this company and requested a different towing from Geico. This company is atrocious I called at 9:06 a.m. to request a tire change I was given an ETA of 10:15 a at 10:01 a I received a call from the tow company that my driver would arrive within 15 minutes I then called tow company 2 gauge a more exact time and I was told by the representative that my wait time would be another 20 minutes because the driver is running behind. We went back and forth on the time as I had now been waiting nearly an hour so we waited another 20 minutes and still no driver. I then received another automated call telling me that my tow driver would be arriving within another 15 minutes and if I needed to speak to someone directly push the option(2) to which I did and that took me to a fast busy then disconnect. Finally due to our schedule my husband insisted on changing the tire himself which he did when I arrived home shortly after 11a I received a call from the tow driver I explained that we'd waited nearly two hours and could not wait any longer and was very dissatisfied with the service he says so you don't get no service anymore? When I replied no he simply hung up USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND THEY DO NOT CARE! I was not able to submit less than one star read more

I was connected with Platinum Towing via Allstate as I have towing insurance on my policy. Their ETA was one hour from my incident and the tow truck driver gave me a quick call to say he was 10 minutes late. I point this out as I always know estimates can change all I need is an update if you are running late. The driver was courteous and safe while he loaded my car onto the truck next to the heavy commute on I405. Great experience. I see a lot of negative reviews below so perhaps they are paying attention to feedback and improving their service. read more

I called after 2 hours of waiting without hearing anything from them and the guy on the phone pretended to look up whatever and then said "Your the next call in line so it should take uhhhh 30 minutes for him to get to you" WRONG .....2 hours later their roadside assistance guy shows up and doesn't even have the right tools to unlock a car and I had to wait another 30 minutes so he could drive somewhere? And get the right tools??? You've known for 4 hours you were going to do a lockout and somehow you don't have the right tools...I don't see how this place is still in business read more

(MUST READ) NEVER use this company for your tow if you DO NOT want to wait 8 hours for your vehicle to being towed. I never wrote a review for any company before. But this is really pissed me off. So, I called State Farm Roadside at 4pm and they used Platinum towing to tow my vehicle. 2 hours later, I got a message said they cannot locate my vehicle. Then I called straight to Platinum which number I got in the message. The lady talked to me with an attitude while I was just trying to make sure where the location my vehicle is. She said that they DID NOT leave yet to tow it. WTH did they do in 2 hours? Again, I called State Farm, they said Platinum should have arrived in 140 min. Then, the tow guy called me and said he will be there at 9:43pm and estimate time to my home will be 11:09pm. I called him at 10pm to make sure he found it. He said he dropping off other vehicle first, then next is mine. Okay, at 11:15pm he said he just got to the location where my vehicle was. Wth, he was lying for the whole time. Now I know WHY they got 1.5 star on google and Yelp. SO PISSED. read more
