I just picked my truck up and it looks much better but I have several gripes. First off, I was quoted a price but when I dropped it off, they tried to charge me more. In addition, I was supposed to get a 10% discount which they did not honor. I was also told they would detail the inside but when I got there, the woman tried to tell me it would be $100 more than quoted. I showed up at 7am as was arranged and ended up waiting almost 10 minutes for somebody to show up. I was told the job would take about 5 hours but it was closer to 8. Then when it was "done", they left my floor mats in the bed of my truck because they were still wet. They also left a lot of water in the bed so when I drove away, water spilled down my rear bumper and left stains on the chrome. I also noticed water spots on my side view mirror. You'd think a detail shop would pay more attention to detail. I now regret giving them a tip and think I will ask my employer to remove this place from the our companywebsite since they don't honor the discount. update: I was told that I'd be contacted about this problem but I've gotten nothing from them. I needed an emergency car detail over the weekend. My Macan was in dire need of a detail due to an accident (throw up in passenger seat). Alfredo was the only who responded at 10am on Sunday AM. He told me to bring it in and he would take care of me. He told me he would handle it (smell was horrendous). He charged me $180 (appeared to be standard). I have made the mistake of taking this type of situation to a regular car wash for their "detail" (which cost about the same) and they weren't able to fix the situation. He told me to leave it with him for 4-5 hrs. I called about 4 hrs later and he said it was ready. I picked it up and found it immaculate. The funky "barf" smell was replaced with a cleaning product smell. He thoroughly detailed the car. He said he removed the front seat to get under the carpet. He removed panels to get at every nitch and corner. I had left 1 floor mat out and he told me to bring it back and he would take care of it. When I got home, I noticed that the wood panels were oily and there were some residual streaks. I took it back (along with the mat) the next day and he took care of it. He re-wiped down the whole car and shampooed the other mat. I was thoroughly impressed with his hard work. My only warning is that you will definitely lose the "new car" smell after a detail. You will need to air your car out to get rid of the cleaning solution smell. But I think that all comes naturally with a detail. I would definitely return to have Alfredo work on my car. read more

5 Stars means it is "As good as it gets!" And these guys deserve the rating. Alfredo is amazing and knowledgeable, and fast and thorough and experienced! I brought my 02 Dodge van in because I couldn't find a paint job under $4K, and it made me sad to see how faded and old looking it was getting. I bought the van used 8 years ago. I researched detailing on you tube prior to dropping in and when they told me they were going to acid wash and clay bar the paint, then wax and polish it I felt confident. I figured any improvement would be worth it. It was time. I was honestly overjoyed when I first laid eyes on it. It was shiny again. We could actually see our reflections in the paint. That never happened before. The old wheels were cleaner than I have ever seen them. The headlights weren't yellow anymore. The chrome looked new. The tires looked new... They actually are pretty new but they looked dull like the rest of the van. The plastic on the bumper came back nicely. The pin-striping which was rough to the touch and dull, smoothed out and the color came back with the wax and buff and it looks great.Then Alfredo lifts the engine hood and shows me a clean motor! He said he had some time so he gave it a "quick" cleaning......How can you not love that? I am very happy with the results and will be having the interior done real soon. What a difference! I used to think auto detailing was just a glorified car wash, but seriously, if I ran my van through a car wash 100 times in a row it would never look like this. I was happy with the price. If i could, i would give them NEGATIVE stars. To be fair, their service was very prompt, I was served immediately even though I was a walk-in customer. I was referred to them by a friend, who only had a glowing review of them so i trusted her opinion. I tried them out on my brand new black luxury vehicle, and came away extremely unsatisfied because they scratched up my paint and my car wasn't even clean. I was in shock when I left because my shining baby was now a mess. They didn't even do that great of a wash (i got the express wash that took 45 min when it should have taken 15 min) AND they scratched up my car AND there were obvious buffer swirl marks up and down the sides of my car, looks like they tried to unsuccessfully take out the scratches. FYI, i have washed my own car before and have never seen those marks, and I am a paranoid person that checks daily. So i watched them do a horrible job of washing and drying my car, all the while cringing inside and thinking that there will be definite scratches (boy was i right). Number one rule of washing cars: Wash top to bottom and from back to front....the people here did front to back and started from the bottom to top. The wash itself took only about 10 minutes, after he finished drying it, I saw the guy get into my car with his dirty clothes (and not use a seat nor a feet protector) and drive my car into the shop. I had requested to do exterior only because my interior is immaculate, so I wondered why they did that. Lo and behold, 30 minutes later i see the guy come in and hand my keys to the manager and say that there were problems with the paint. We go outside to look and my car looked HORRIBLE. The manager then proceeded to say it was not their fault, and that these marks were there already (I mean REALLY? cuz i washed my own car before and didnt see them). Manager thought little of me and proceeded to basically shove me out the door and told me to go pick a bone with my dealer cuz he blames them for it. Just because I'm a girl doesnt mean i do not know about cars, im a car fanatic. I was just in too much shock....and my complaints just did not register with him cuz that chauvinist pig thought little of me for being a girl. I went home practically in tears cuz my one month old car was ruined. VIP's customer service was horrible, i had my brother-in-law call the next day to complain and we got insulted by them. The manager said I was a stupid girl and probably didnt speak English (that guy must have a crappy memory cuz i was talking to him, he's obviously racist). After a threat to sue them, the manager agrees to fix the scratches and the swirl marks. I go back there, and i get glared at the manager and they only fixed ONE scratch...that was it. I have had enough of their BS, so I left. Had to take my car back to the dealer to have my paint fixed, and when the dealer called the detailer to ask about the wash job, the dealer was immediately cussed out with many F bombs and accusations that the dealer ruined my car (this was the owner of VIP on the phone using this very unprofessional language). I couldn't believe the nerve Matt had to cuss out the politely inquiring manager of Walters Mercedes. I had to apologize to the dealer to have to hear such primitive language. My dealer was so kind as to do a free detail for me. So i walked away, once more a happy camper. PM me if you want the number to a WAAAAAAAAY better detailer that gave my car a mirror shine finish on my black paint. If you have a brand new luxury vehicle and you love it, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more

This is definitely a professional auto detail shop! I always come out satisfied. From management to shop workers, they are very respectful and are great at what they do. I've brought in dingers to off the lot brand new cars and they are all treated with the same care. As for the review about the gift card not being honored, the shop is under new ownership and it is an understandable situation. However, as previously mentioned, this shop is run professionally by very respectable people and you should consider working out the situation with the new owner. read more

I don't even give this 1 star. This company has bad business practices! Several months ago my husband bought me a $125 gift card. The business, since then has a new owner who would not honor the gift card. All the employee, after speaking to the owner could say was "sorry". That decision to not honor the gift card or even make an offer to help directly reflects what kind of business this is. I was also intending on buying another gift card as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I will never recommend this business to anyone I know. I have a 13 year old Corvette I've tried very hard to keep in good shape. Bought it new in '02. My wife recommended VIP after one experience. They cost a little more for a full detail, but is it ever worth it. My car is Torch Red and I get more compliments on its looks now than I did when it was new. I know, hard to believe, but very true. The quality of their job lasts much longer than their competitors' which likely means even though the price is a little higher, the value is still there. Wonderful business; efficient, customer oriented, nice, knowledgeable, and most of all, thorough, thorough, thorough. I can't wait to get my car dirtied up so I can get it back there. read more

Perhaps their niche is waxing cars. Their washing at a price of $35.00 is just that; "a wash". Poorly done and overpriced. Engine cleaning was fair and also overpriced. The bottom line is that there are many other car wash operating in the area with higher standard of quality work and reasonable prices. read more

Just got my 2014 Jeep Wrangler back and the paint and interior look great. However, the hardtop was only washed and there are still fades and streak (which was the reason to have it fully detailed in the first place). They stated that there was nothing they could do other than put oil on it which would attract dust....duh. Got home and checked and there are numerous products that bring back the shine and color (Mothers Black or McGuire's - what they use across the street at Foamy). So now I have to pay another place to finish the detailing:( Wish I could include pictures. read more

After a horrible paint job by Maaco, I took my truck to the guys to see if there was any hope in fixing a paint job that had more orange peel then a batch of hanger 24 orange wheat. Matisse said they would try polishing first with a pretty aggressive compound. After determining they weren't getting the results they wanted with that, he asked if he could keep the truck for a few days to make it right. They needed 3-4 days to color sand, polish and wax the truck and it was soo worth it!!! What an AMAZING job they did, my truck looks better then it did when it was new. And the job they did on the interior was just as awesome! My 16 year old truck looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. Throughout the whole process Matisse kept me updated with the progress and was very passionate about getting the best possible result. You won't be disappointed with their work! read more

I would have and maybe should have given 5 stars, however a mishap on returning my car left me with a million questions and a lot of anxiety. As scheduled, my car was picked up by a very nice lady. Upon return, some guy was driving my car and who knows what he was thinking, but instead of going up my driveway, he started to drive up the curbcut on the side walk. I yelled stop so loud the whole neighborhood heard me! This could have caused major damage to the front end. One tire went completely up the curb! I would love some answers as to why this happened and what on earth he was thinking! It's been 2 hours since the return and I'm still full of anxiety. The mini detail My car received was AMAZING! Very thorough! Attention to detail! I'm sure I will use them again, I will just make sure to ask for a responsible driver who knows the difference between a driveway and a curbcut. If I could, I would give negative stars as read in other posts about the performance of VIP Detailing!!!! I dropped off my Jeep Wrangler with a clean and waxed exterior for an interior, engine compartment detail and undercarriage pressure wash. I was very disappointed in the poor job I found upon my return 61/2 hours later. It was ridiculous to pick up your vehicle from a so called "professional detailer" and it looked worse than when you dropped it off. To be fair the front seats looked like they had been cleaned however, the back seat area was horrible. The carpets were not cleaned and the fold and tumble seat in the rear was completely ignored. I noticed that the contents of the glove box and center console were removed and had to go back into the shop to retrieve them, well all but the odd change that was missing. I guess to help keep them in the black this month... The exterior was spotted and wheels and tires were covered in some type of sludge and water medley. I took a chance and thought I would give VIP a try, bad idea! Please beware of this business, they do not deliver the service they promise. On the way home I began to think maybe I'm just not a VIP...So if you are a VIP maybe your experience will be a bit more positive, if you have to ask yourself, Am I VIP material? Then move on to a professional detailer that has earned and deserves that title. Saying I didn't feel like VIP met my expectations somehow diminishes how poor of a job they performed on my vehicle, I think a good old fashion" VIP Detailing Sucks" seems more appropriate. read more

I just had my son in law's 2103 Prius fully detailed as a Christmas gift. He has been very busy (married my daughter on Nov. 11th)so the car was in poor shape. (yellow head lights, scratches, paint transfers, well used interior, etc) The car came out looking brand new!!!!!! Even smelled like a new car. Well, Sorry to say, That when "Carlos, the manager" states "First come first serve" is not so true. I arrived early saturday ay 6:40am and I was the only one there at that time of opening. I had to run errands and drove by several times, only to find out that my van had not been touch at all and it was already going to be Noon time. I had called and spoke to carlos and he said to me that NO THEY HADN"T TOUCHED MY VAN YET. I told him don't touch it I'll be picking it up cuz I need the work done ASAP. That was the plan why I came early as AS YOU CARLOS, YOU TOLD ME TO DO.. I was willing to pay for a full Detailing Job For $200.00 and NEVER got my van worked on. I was very upset only to see newer cars then my been worked on through out the day. I called YUCAIPA Detailing and They did my van without Hesitation and would get it back by 5pm. And I saved $50.00 on top of that. I had heard That VIP Detailing in Redlands that they were really good, And they might be. But Timing is everything Too. AWESOME job - I had very bad water spots on paint, glass, wheels from parking next to someone's sprinkler for a week, and headlights were faded and hazy - it was worth the $200 to take to these guys, they had it looking like NEW. Paint, convertible top, glass, headlights, wheels. This helped me sell the car for sure - it's a 2004 model car and when I brought it to the dealership all the staffers swarmed and said it was the cleanest looking model they'd ever seen, said it looked like new inside and out, and they were right. I went to VIP Platinum Detail because my big white Ford F-250 had some serious water stains/dried on/baked on wax or soap from some crappy car wash. I tried everything to get it off. Met with Edwin and he told me he could take care of it. Decided to let them detail it too. Went to the movies while they were working on it. Got a phone call about 30 minutes later stating they couldn't remove it. I was pretty bummed. He apologized several times and I could tell he was sincere and not just blowing smoke. He asked if they should continue and detail it anyway. I went ahead and let them. Even though they couldn't get the window problem handled, they did one heck of a detail. My truck looked like new. He didn't charge me for anything but a very reasonable $85 for the exterior detail. Overall they did an OUTSTANDING job and have earned a new customer. Not sure what these other crazies are talking about with their reviews, but they must be el loco. Thank you again VIP! read more

Used to be a really great service, and I was a frequent customer over the last two years, including ongoing cleanings and quarterly full detailing. Recently, they changed ownership. At first, service on the phone declined, now no one answers the phone or returns my messages. Can't tell you if they still do a great job of detailing because I can't even get an appointment. read more
