Everything I ate & drank was delicious. Breakfast was Tres Golpes - perfectly cooked egg over easy, over mashed plantains with fried salami and cheese. SO good - the egg over the plantains was an awesome new flavor combo for me. I had a tamarind juice, my wife had the passionfruit - both fresh & tasty. Service was also excellent. Lunch - I literally just pointed to what looked tasty, got it on my plate, and ate - everything was full of flavor. Prices are reasonable for the neighborhood.

Prices are very reasonable for restaurant food, I think, and the quality is absolutely there. They have all the food in heated pans at the front, though the mofongo had to be prepared separately. When I ate the food later on, everything was absolutely delicious. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely order again! Inside, there are a few TVs, and you order at the counter even if sitting in for a meal. Looks clean and cozy enough, and I would imagine fairly crowded at the right times, but I was there mid/late afternoon, so I only saw one table w/ a customer eating. I wouldn't be opposed to it sometime other than having to pay for parking!

The ambiance is perfect for a ladies' night, date night, or even a reservation for a larger group. The entrées were delicious, authentic, fresh, and beautifully presented. We had the lamb chops and the cod, and both were excellent. The fresh natural limeade was also very refreshing. The owners, chef, and staff were polite, friendly, and professional. This was my second time dining here, and I'll definitely be back to try brunch and enjoy dinner again.

However, we also ordered their highly recomended chicken mofongo and.. it was not good at all. For one, for the amount of actual food you get it is NOT worth $27. Lets get that out of the way right off the bat. Dish is highly overpriced. The chicken was VERY dry. Like, need to take a sip of a drink every single bite dry. That alone made the dish bad, but then we tried the rest and it was bland and also.. dry? idk, dish wasn't good at all . Very overpriced, and I would never get or recommend someone order that ever again. Another minor issue, on their take out menue they have a bunch of coupons. One was for $5 off orders over $30 or something like that. i asked to use it, despite there being an expiration date of 12/31/25 on it. I figure, 'you're putting these out still, so you must still be honoring this coupon, right?" NO. The host asked a manager and they said they "shouldn't have put those menus out.' But you did.. so you honor the coupon. That's business 101. Fair, I guess? But just for some business advise.. it's $5 off for a first time customer that would have potentially come back and even told others to do so. Not now though. This was a take out experience, so I cannot comment on how it is if you order in the restaurant. i will say that the hostess/ girl at the counter was very nice, and accommodating though.

Tender but not as tender as it could be. The plantains were also dry and hard not really sweet. They left the super big stems from the fresh herbs. The oxtail and plantains were so dry I could swear they were cooked at least a week ahead of time. The rice was okay and so was the patties. I had one beef and one chicken curry. Over all I was so so disappointed and for $25 a platter like I really want my money back. I will never go back. You should always take pride in your food and business.

I ordered a side of Jerk chicken, patties and a drink. I could not wait to eat. (Sigh) I was a bit disappointed because the Jerk chicken portions were way too big and it seemed as if they were done in the oven instead of on the grill. Authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken is not usually served with gravy and this had way too much; it was almost like a stew but with less gravy. I ate it because it was edible but I'm not so sure I'll be back now, I could be nit picking because, like I said, I'm an island girl and I grew up on this type of food so YOU may like it if you end up going here.
