Don't waste your time or money going to this place. I brought in a bin full of name brand clothing (Lululemon, Nike, under armor, American eagle, old navy, etc.) and they gave me $0. They didn't even buy one single item from the bin I brought in. To top things off they had they shittiest selection of clothes in their store to chose from, but yet they're selective to what I brought in. Will not be going back. Terrible store. read more

They have really ugly, out of style, trashy clothing in their store, yet when people bring in bags of brand new, designer, trending clothes they only buy one item. I'm convinced they don't even go through the bags of clothes. I've seen other reviews saying the same things. Maybe there's a certain amount they need to sell before they accept new items but newsflash - yall aren't gonna sell much of ugly cheap trashy clothing that no one wants. This store should be shut down. They take nasty Shein clothing over name brand and then are extremely rude. I asked to look through the 13 $100-$200 items they took and they told me it would mess with their order if clothing and made it seem like an inconvenience. They took 13 name brand items for $55. I'm in SHOCK right now. My mom and I took 8 bags of name brand things to this platos closet. Many of which were in style, in season, new, new with TAGS, and expensive brands. For example, anthropology, american eagle, nordstrom, urban outfitters, lululemon, Abercrombie, spanx, and more. There were at least 50+ items. They took FOUR. And it took them 2 1/2 hours to pick FOUR THINGS. AND THEY PAID US LIKE $14. My mom works with fashion for a living so it does not make sense that her things would not be "fashionable". Also, I am. 21 year old girl, I would also have a clue. However, they took our bottom of the barrel things like amazon and very old items. And the. I go through the racks and see things like the below pics. You would rather have a 50s polkadot dress and a Walt Disney night gown and not lululemon and anthropology? I am very disappointed with my visit here. This is my hometown Plato's and normally I have had a decent experience when I come here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with nothing less than judgmental glares and disinterested workers. I went to drop off items to sell and each girl, both during drop off and pick up, were honestly downright rude. There were few words exchanged paired with an attitude that seemed as though they didn't want to be there and you were inconveniencing them by being there yourself. One worker was yawning mid conversation if you could even call it one. The customer service warrants a less than one star review if that was an option. read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. Half of the girls are very very nice but the other half are super rude. They refuse to take anything other than name brand, which last time I checked this was a consignment store??? I have tried to give very good quality NAME BRAND stuff they've just refused it because of their own liking and say it has "a lot of wear, out of style or has stains" even when those aren't true. They need to act like a consignment store or just make the announcement that they are only accepting brand new, name brand clothes and stop being a CONSIGNMENT STORE. Literally the worst lmfao they close way before they're supposed to because it's a bunch of young girls working and they never answer their phones. I went last night to try to find clothes for my new job jt said open online and the open sign was still on the door but the doors were locked and the girls were counting. Either change your hours so no one wastes their time going up their or change out your employees for ones who actually do the job right and aren't lazy little girls lol it's pathetic. If i could give less than one star, i would. The staff here is just overall rude. The manager, Marcy i believe, is very unpleasant and clearly doesn't care about the customers. We brought clothes there and said "don't worry about the stuff on the bottom, we're donating it after we leave here." when we returned she RUDELY replied, "We don't take used socks, so $8." They give you about a quarter for NEW things, if they even take it. I will never retur read more

Clothing selection is absolutely garbage. Their worker DO NOT know what is in style and what is not.

When buying this store offers fair prices and a wide variety but trying to sell things here or any other location is always frustrating. They offered me $4 for a pair of brand new at least $30 shoes. The staff was also very unhelpful and didn't write my name on the board when they were done so I waited around an extra 15 minutes waiting. Some of the things they have in the store are stained and in rough condition but then they won't buy my clean, name brand items. This store is just a huge headache to deal with. read more

Every time I come into the store, the staff is friendly for the most part. Most of the staff is young, so it's to be expected. The store it's self is always very clean and tidy!!! That's a major plus in my book! They have great brands and a selection of everything that I need for any occasion! Prices are reasonable. read more

The girls are always friendly and actually greet you. This is one of the few Platos that have the bright, energetic, and clean atmosphere. When selling they offer what is fair and I always leave satisfied. I use to sell in Ann Arbor and in Novi but this location tops them both. Very, very clean and they know how to treat customers whether you buy or sell! I recommend Brighton Platos Closet over any in the area!!! read more
