I could not believe they offered me $11.20 for 3 pairs of shoes. Two pairs have never been worn and 1 pair, which were Guess booties, only worn once. That amount was not even worth the amount of gas it took to drive there and back. However, I will be back for my son some jeans. read more

I was very impressed with this location. I had never gone to a Plato's where they helped you find something you were looking for. They asked me when I walked through the door we found a few dresses but none of them worked for the engagement shoot I had in mind. Sold clothes here a few times when I was younger and needed the extra money... I would NEVER do it again because it is simply not worth it. They practically give you pennies for the clothing that they buy from you. I'd rather just go to Salvation Army and give my things away for free. read more

But this was THE WORST, MOST TRASHED, MESSY PIECE OF DOG CRAP STORE IVE EVER BEEN INTO! It looks like it was being run by 5 year olds. Clothes were everywhere. Racks were so packed you couldn't shop. And icing on the cake was that NO ONE helped us unless we asked. No one greeted us. No one checked on us. Do yourself a favor. Go to a different location. The one near the Avenues Mall is fantastic. Medium bag of clothes for $20 and I am very pleased since I wore them and still in good condition but out of my style or can't fit after pregnancy. The guy in front was nice and quick. First time at this one ... staff was rude kept asking repeatedly oh what did your bag look like , what is the name under would and it wasn't a asking to look for the bag because it was finished it more like they couldn't find the bag between the piles of stuff they had behind the register . Mind you I went up there atleast two times to check on the status of my bag before I even got the bag back . My second time kinda of got them working on it and then a few they called me to come get the bag but it wasn't even like a hey this is so and so your bag is ready it was more a hey your bag is ready low and dry voice . Don't go to this location if your trying to sell clothes. They had my clothes for 3 hours , didn't even bother to go through them. Kids working there just wasting people's time. I got a really cute pair of shorts but as for selling stuff, it's a complete rip off. I brought in two whole bags of clothes I got from forever 21 and other name brand stuff they refused to take. They completely rip you off for selling stuff. I brought in 2 baskets of fossil bags, forever 21, and pacsun denim shorts and American eagle shorts and they only took 7 items. Then said the rest were out of style, but they weren't they were all gently worn and name brands which were bought recently. They passed on maxi skirts, denim shorts, and some super cute shirts. The worst part was it took them an hour to go through my stuff and then forgot the other half on the shelf. I'm done with this one. At the one in Tampa I brought in the same style clothes and got $60. This was only $25 for the same style of clothing. read more

No greeting when I walked in. Overpacked inventory; shoes piled on each other; stuff on the floor. It is not up to Plato's Closets franchise standards and has the feel of a thrift store. Not one employee acknowledged me. I walked up to one putting clothes away in a rack, she turned around looked at me in the eyes, and then turned and walked away. I spent a little time looking at the accessories right in front of the counter, where three employees were. Nobody said anything. When I was leaving I turned around and looked at the girl who receives clothing, kind of like giving her one last chance to say something, and as the door was closing she said... "Have a good one." A smile and quick hello goes a loooong way. These employees haven't been taught this. I have secret shopped for the Orlando PC stores and let me say that they are hands down WORLDS better. This store gets one star because I have to give it something to leave this raving -- not -- review. read more

They took an hour and a half to tell me my clothes that were only a couple years old weren't "in style".. but then I looked over at the shoes and see dirty ripped sneakers on the rack that they were trying to sell. Never going there again! Took nice clothes, some never worn...Old Navy, Massimo, Gap etc. did not take hardly any of my nice clothes. Some of the clothes there to sell we're very worn looking, had holes on them etc. this was not the first time this has happened. Will not waste my time and gas going back there. I love their sales however the store is normally in disarray. The staff always have bad, snotty attitudes. Platos owner needs to take a long hard look it his/her staff. May I recommend hiring mature adults? We get it - you don't like to pay much but there are many people out there who need jobs and could do a MUCH better job than your current staff. read more

This review is for the Plato's Closet on Phillips Hwy only. Blanding Blvd is not like this and they have better items at Blanding. I can't say racist because then people will say another black person crying racist. They will literally follow me around the entire store. I am a grown woman that makes 10 times more than any of them. Even with me standing up front looking at the purses, they won't leave my side. One young lady did this and I started following her. Standing right next to her without leaving until she left me alone. So she can see how rude that is. Funny thing as I was in line, a young white girl who they never bothered to follow, was wearing one of their shirts but foolishly forgot to remove the tag. Me with my petty self, said very loudly, you forgot to move the tag. The cashier with egg on her face looked like she had no clue what to do. Of course nothing happened. The young white shoplifter just stuuddered saying she will pay for shirt. Not too sure a black person would get off that easy. Shoplifters come in all races. read more

I usually go here just to sell my clothes then leave. I agree with Vetey. I've shared a similar experience every time I go. Not to personally attack the people who work there, but I've sold 3 Lacoste polos in mint condition that retail for $80 each, finding them on the rack really cheap ($4) and torn up after a year there, in the same exact sizes I remembered. They gave me literally nothing for these tops too. I was just too eager to get out of the store. They also sell really faded jeans from A&F and Urban Outfitters for the same price I can get them on sale at the actual stores. $25 dollars for crazy used clothing? I think not. I just want to walk up to everybody who enters the store to tell them that the clothes they tend to flee to on the racks are the same price as the clothes on summer sale from the stores they covet. A lot of the people who work at the store also are pretty rude. read more

Out of all the Plato's Closets I've been to this one is by far the worst one. The first thing I would like to point out is that every reasonably cute item I picked up either had a stain, a rip, or the buttons were worn. I've worked at a Plato's Closet before and I would not accept half of the items that are in that store currently. When I brought the damaged clothing to the staff's attention, they were at first okay with it but as I started to notice more scuffs and stains they seemed to get annoyed. I did not want to annoy their staff like that but as an employee you should know what to buy and what not to buy and it seems like they don't have a clue. When I asked for a discount on the particular items because most of them i thought i might be able to fix the employee at the counter told me that it wouldn't be that much. Are you kidding me? In general I would not recommend this Plato's Closet to anyone you are wasting your time! You'd be better off buying things at garage sale. read more
