We met at the park and our sessions were so FUN - my son is 4 and loved coming to see Ms. Jennifer, which made the process easier on me to reinforce things at home. I brought my son to Speech Therapy 101 when my son's preschool suggested we get his speech evaluated. It was no surprise that the evaluation revealed he needed help with articulation. We were paired with Renee and we couldn't be happier. She won my very shy boy over in the first session and he looked forward to their weekly playdates. She made the sessions so fun, I don't think he was even aware of the therapy taking place. We saw improvement in his speech within a few weeks. Renee is awesome! My son began speech therapy with Renee when he was 12 months old. At the time he started with Renee he could not speak, he would just make babbling sounds. Just a little over 3-4 months he began to say make sounds and then words. Renee's techniques are amazing. My son is now 4 years old and is able to clearly speak using full sentences. My daughter began speech therapy via Zoom for articulation issues with Jessica Hillard in Jan. 2021. My daughter connected instantly with Jessica, and quickly engaged in the process. Jessica rapidly and adeptly identifies the articulation challenges and offers spot on solutions for addressing them. She is incredibly responsive to my daughter's speech needs and understands ways to motivate and engage young children - not an easy task over Zoom! We've been with Kim and her crew for almost 2 years. Once Covid hit, we had to transition remotely but the transition was seamless. My son (now 5) has met all his goals for his age and is continuing to thrive under the care of Ms. Jennifer. Ms. Jennifer makes the hour online session fun with games and stories. She engages in conversations with my son which he adores because he has someone giving him undivided attention to listen about Pokemon. She is able to pick up where he needs improvement in articulation and gives my son the tools to help him (especially the R sounds which is really hard for a 5 year old!) And she mails sticker charts which she makes based on what our son is interested in. We cannot ask for a better speech therapist and team. read more

Renee was wonderful with my son and he loved their play dates while he learned. I saw a lot of improvement during their time together.

My daughter spent about a year with Renee starting at 20 months when we had her evaluated and she was speaking at the 12 month level. My daughter was immediately responsive to Renee and loved having her "play dates" with Miss Renee. After about a year with twice-weekly sessions my daughter was evaluated and now speaking and expressing herself at age appropriate levels! Renee was great at the in person sessions and helping to guide us as parents with tips on how to continue the work at home in a fun play-based way. While she was barely speaking a couple of words when we started, my now almost 4 year old is constantly chatting and verbally communicating with us! As a bonus they were really easy at processing our sessions through our PPO insurance which was so helpful! read more

I was very impressed with the thorough evaluation my son received with Kim, who seemed very caring and knowledgable. We have worked with Jessica Hillard for over two years and she is the best. She has a warm approach when teaching young kids, which helped my daughter open up and take significantly more speech risks. We've been having a great experience with Jennifer Petty. Our 10 year old boy has had some stuttering since he was 3, off and on. Things got worse during the pandemic, with zoom classes and lack of social activities. Jennifer quickly picked up on that and gave him some very important tools to cope with the day to day anxiety. My son is 7 now and has with Renee, one of the speech therapist there for about 1 1/2 years now and he's doing amazing. After just a few months of sessions he was saying so many different things. I have been searching for speech therapy for my son for over a year. He was seeking speech therapy before at a different establishment. I figure since he was receiving free therapy sessions through the school it was good enough. Until I realize He was not making any progress. I tried to go back to the old establishment and he was on a long waitlist. I finally found speech 101 that was in my network. Many other places I found were not in network. My son received the evaluation by Kim via phone call. My son is now 6 years and is globally delayed. He does not speak at all. He was scheduled right away with Renee at the Hawthorne location. It was perfect. We have been going to Renee for over 6 months. She really pushes Dillon. And I have seen so much progress in the last half year than I have during the last few years. He is starting to make vowel sounds and really tries hard. I see the connection with Renee and my son. It really makes me so happy that my heart could burst. I can tell Renee is very invested in my son's learning process. If she has another kid who has not arrive on time she sometimes spends an extra 5-10minutes. And when you find someone who shows that dedication to your love one it makes us even more grateful. I'm so happy we are getting the right help and we wish we could have met her sooner. read more
