The bday party was a total hit! My son loves race cars & legos and what an awesome way to celebrate his 5 year bday by combining both of the things he loves. First of all, Mike (the owner) was really easy to deal with. The party was set up so that there were different race car tracks (lego tracks, loop the loop tracks, and oval race tracks) for all the kids to play with. The setup also included the cars & legos for the kids to race. The service also includes a dedicated assistant (or what I'd like to call free babysitting during the party - lol) to help the kids with the races. They did such a great job of making sure all the kids were engaged. If legos or racing is a theme for your bday, you won't go wrong with Play Party as your form of entertainment. We did a racecar party for 25 kids, and got 5 activity stations that kept the kids occupied and having so much fun during the event. Mike made our 7-year-old's b-day the best one yet! Our son loves LEGOs and Hotwheels, so when my research led me to playparty.net I was a little skeptical, as I usually go with my friends' reviews/experiences. However, after my initial email, Mike was very responsive every step of the way. We had a call where he went through how things are run and what to expect. He also recommended which party would work best for our son's age group. On the day of the party, his employee arrived right on time (30 min prior to the party start time) and set everything up in our yard. There were four stations and each and every one of them got great use. We had 11 boys over and their enthusiasm was palpable the entire time! Every kid was engaged and entertained, and Mike's employee was right there facilitating all the activities. What I also loved about the setup, was the option to extend the time based on how things were going. You pay for the first hour, and then it's $25 for each additional 15 min. The kids were definitely not ready to quit after one hour, so we ended up extending it by 45 min! Mike's employee checked with me discretely before every 15 min to see where we were with our timing. I never felt pressured to stop the party or pushed to keep going. The kids were going strong for about 1 hour 37 min. Then pizza arrived! My son just had a race car party this past weekend and it was amazing!!! The kids all loved it and played at the different car stations for hours. The facilitator did a wonderful job of keep the cars on the tracks and he was great with the kids.
