The good: The workers always greet you and take care of you when you enter. All of the teachers are enthusiastic and the singing/program is really fun! My Gym classes are typically 45 minutes in length and are categorized based on age or kids' walking ability. I came here for my 13 month old but also attended a 4-year old's birthday here. It was honesty the best kids' birthday party I've been to! I would highly recommend hosting a birthday here because everything is taken care of including entertainment and programming. The workers here guide the 2-hour time period and do fun things like play "night at the museum," hide and seek and more. The entire area is carpeted and soft and the walls are padded so you don't have to fear your kid getting hurt. My son and daughter both had a blast here. The bad: I like that they have classes fit for multiple ages within one class (like for siblings) but unfortunately the hours are during my kids' nap times. The interesting: They do drop-off themed events too that are basically a babysitting service. For instance, they host parents night out (PNO) events where you can drop off your kid for 3 hours. read more

My gym is a fun children's fitness center that offers classes for kids from infants up to around 12 years old. My kids started coming here when they were about a year old, and they've loved it ever since. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the manager, Aarti, is amazing. My daughter seems to want to come here just to see her! I'm already planning to host future birthday parties here because it's such a great place for kids to burn off energy. My Gym Torrance is the best place for my active granddaughter. Since day 1 Miss Aarti has been the best asset to the gym. She is so caring and attentive to the children. I was initially very excited to learn that My Gym was offering a cardio/exercise class for kids who might be a little overweight. This seemed perfect for my sweets-loving grandaughter who has gained a few pounds recently. She arrived with her twin brother and the hour started off well with a mix of exercises and running around that raised their heartbeats. Unfortunately, the second half of the program consisted of the kids sitting around playing charades. Most of them had no understanding of what was going on, and it seemed a total waste of time. I really believe the entire hour could have been spent in some type of exercise, from either simply throwing a ball back and forth, to running up and down the play equipment - it all could have focused on getting their heart rates moving and their bodies in motion. I feel the "trial" hour, which cost me $65, including socks which I didn't need as I already had them, was quite exhorbitant. Unless My Gym improves their cardio program, I wont be back. read more

They had to be the ones to serve the food to our kids--one employee kept the plate of fruits with her and for some reason had to be the one to serve fruits to the kids, but then skipped my kid when serving fruits. read more

If I can rate 10 stars, I would. This is the perfect indoor kids play gym. It's a perfect relief from the hot summer, rainy seasons, and dark winter season. Aarti and her team are all so great with the kiddos. They genuinely love what they do and my daughter loves them all. I highly recommend this facility! We attended for about 6 months and then we moved out of the area and unfortunately could not do the commute to My gym! But we were very happy with the fun and unique environment My Gym provided! 1) Facility is very clean, they have air purifiers running at all times, along with sanitIzation protocols. All their equipment looks clean and well taken care of. My daughter started at 1 years old in the tykes class and then eventually transitioned to the waddler class and I saw her get comfortable more and more. 2) The setup constantly changes each week, in the 6 months I was there I did not see a repeat set up it's amazing! They keep the children interested in the space, they do puppet shows at the end, and sometimes a surprise bubble show! Around Halloween time they did a Halloween themed play set up, with a spider on the swing or kids could ride the witches broom ( they attached a broom to a zip line style swing). 3) Staff was very friendly and always knew our names! Mygym Torrance is a great place to get your kids active with purpose. The facility has safe, clean and engaging equipment with which to play and the staff is friendly. MyGym offers a variety of classes so that parents can play and learn with their children or just hang out in the viewing area and relax. The classes also have both structured and unstructured play time. It's such a great way to give those that really want to play in a certain area or just want to let of steam a chance to do so during free time. I was able to see how they build upon skills from one age-group class to another as my 4 year old tried the next class up. It was perfectly designed to fit her needs as her skill set and confidence developed. We've also attended a bday party here for a 5 year old earlier in the year. I've been taking my toddler here for the past few months now and love it here! We used to go to Gymboree but switched to My Gym the day we took our first free trial class even though it's further for us AND more expensive. What really won us over are the teachers here. The director, Ernest is awesome and all the teachers are SO warm and enthusiastic with the kids. I love how they are so energetic and give each kid individual attention and get to know their names. Angelina, Gary, Krystle (we miss you!) seriously everyone is so great! The facility itself is pretty big and well taken care of. It seems pretty clean and they have a ton of equipment and toys for the kids to play with including a ball pit, swings, slides, etc. It's $88 a month which includes one class per week plus a Practice & Play hour which is basically freeplay. The classes are great with circle time which consists of songs and exercises along with structured activities (various teacher-guided gymnastics or zipline rides, etc) mixed with free play time. There's puppet shows, bubbles, and even "separation time" which is when they bring out a bunch of toys for the kids to play with so the parents can sit back and take a break for a few minutes as the kids practice how to play independently. If you have an active kid, this place is for you. Even if your kid is not so active but you want to get them to live a healthy and active lifestyle or learn how to socialize and get used to being in an environment with other kids, this place is great too. A lot of my times, my daughter has her default serious face on and doesn't always look like she's enjoying her time here, but when we get home, all she wants to do are the My Gym songs and exercise routines LOL! I'm thankful to have found My Gym and we look forward to coming every week! read more

My 9 year old has been attending spring break camp here, and if you think that my gym is not for older kids, you are mistaken. The staff have been so kind to him. He was itching to try the zipline all week, but too shy to ask. When he did, they made it happen! He has been coming back with descriptions of the silly performances the staff put on for the kiddos (Elsa as a Gamma Girl) and other memories of egg hunts/games. I was bummed when Urban Youth Park couldn't pull it together to post availability for this week, but it turned out to be for the best! I'll be bringing my younger son here for future school breaks as well, because the staff are responsive and kind. And the center is conscientious enough to post their camps early enough so working parents can keep their jobs! read more

Came for the Re-Grand Opening and enjoyed pristine equipment, clean bathrooms, the cleanest ball pit I've ever seen and a few areas where the dry wall and paint construction work was incomplete. Teachers - the teachers present today were among the best. They remembered my kids' names despite the large crowd. The man running the warm up and story time was a rock star. He was far superior to the folks we met at the MB and RB gyms. Facilities - the MB My Gym continues to be our favorite facility. As mentioned above, the construction is not yet complete here. The layout, while spacious, felt awkwardly long and too sparse. Maybe too many toys were put away? Activities - Same as expected, parachute, hot dog swings, stories with puppets, etc. But we were surprised to see a baby airplane ride as an addition to the big kid zipline :) Neat gym. So far we've been very happy with this place for our son for the Waddlers class. We are so glad we found this place by chance when we stopped by for coffee right next door. We used to go to Gymboree classes but soon cancelled once we felt My Gym was the right place for our child. There are 3 instructors who seem genuinely happy being there and interacting with the kids during the session. It's not the same activities every single week. Even us adults have fun playing with the kids. Overall it's so much fun and our son gets so excited as soon as we walk in. The only thing we wish was that there were Sunday classes since it's tough to make it during the week and there's only a 9a Sat class for the weekend. read more

Started coming to this location when they first reopened. My daughter was 14 months old at the time and now she's 2 and has just switched over to the next level class. She's really developed her motor skills, has been able to socialize with kids her age, and burn off some energy. Since we've been able to experience 2 different level classes, I can say for sure that they customize the program well to suit the age group. The set up and songs are different every week. It's nice to get a sense of novelty for the kids while knowing their fave activities are still there (currently, swings, ball pit and trampoline for little one). The staff is wonderful! Super energetic and do a good job of interacting and engaging with the kids. My daughter was tentative when she first started but the staff has won her over. They learned her name that first day of class and greet her by name every time she walks in the door, and that's when they won me over (aside from everything else). My daughter was invited to a birthday party here yesterday for 3 of her classmates who turned 5 this month. The place is like a big indoor playground. There were two staff members for somewhere close to 15 or 18 kids, and they were excellent with the kids! They did a few staff led activities and had a lot of free time for the kids to run and climb and swing and bounce. The kids could not have had a better time, it wore them out, and it was such a delight for us parents to get to watch them all play together, as we miss this when we are at work. read more

It's been almost a week since my daughter celebrated her 2nd birthday here but I'm still raving about how everyone at the party had a blast. I was worried at first that the bigger kids we invited ages 5 & up would not enjoy the activities as much but to my surprise I think they had the most fun! Excellent indoor gym for babies and kids. My husband and I brought our then 11 month old for the free trial day (you can sign up on their website for a preview class). We were warmly greeted and made to feel right at home instantly upon arrival. You need to remove your shoes and wear socks in the play area - this is standard for all indoor gyms/playgrounds we have checked out. My daughter loved the class session and open play, the songs were great and the course leader was super friendly and attentive, and she memorized about 15 babies names in less than 5 minutes which is amazing to me. The gym itself is very up to date with the best kids toys on the market, a lot of which I have wanted to buy but they are quite large for an average home, so it's nice to be able to visit them (slides, swings, ball pits). The cleanliness was okay - probably better than at other playgrounds than I have been to but it was still not as sanitary as I would like for a kids playground. There were hairs and dust in the cracks of the toys, some items were sticky and clearly had not been cleaned that day. The bathroom was also very outdated and the changing station could have been cleaner. The atmosphere however was extremely friendly and fun, a lot of the cleanliness issues can be overlooked, maybe I might be overly sensitive about the dirt because I am a new mom. read more

I cannot say enough great things about My Gym Torrance/PV! We enrolled our 18-month-old twins last month and it has been a wonderful experience. We enrolled them in classes at two other places as well, and while My Gym wasn't the most expensive it is definitely the best and our children's favorite! Ernest and Aarti are so warm and welcoming! Despite seeing tons of kids every week, they still know each and every child's name and personality. Each week the gym is set up completely differently, offering the children new challenges and activities. They never let the class get boring or repetitive. We made a visit out to Torrance for a kids birthday party. Always great to see college friends. If you have little kids, and live out in the Torrance Carson area, you need to check this place out. My 2, 4 and 6 year old had a blast. I enjoyed myself because staff took care of the boys for us. The facility allows for kids to run and burn energy with plenty of activities. They have a rock climbing wall, basketball hoops, gymnastic equipment, bounce pads, trampoline, ball pit and a zip line. My boys loved the zip line and bubble time. The gym and bathrooms are clean, not bad for a kids place. Staff is energetic, patient and very friendly. The parents had a blast because they played 80's and 90's music during the birthday party. read more
