This is my first time here and I think it will be last time. Staff is rude.I tried to make a slime with my kid. And she criticized to me and said make slime needs to be paid. I can't understand without any notice or sign, how customer knows it. I already paid $16 to enter and need to pay another fee to make a slime? She yelled I should ask her before I start. This is a cute place. It's travel themed with an airplane, bus, etc. They even have a food truck with fake food to make little plates of meals. The place is kept very clean. However, toys aren't cleaned up ever hour as expected. But maybe that's because there were only 5 kids playing when we were there. If you go during the week around 1 pm it's not very busy. We finally made it to Play Street Museum. It was on my list wanting to stop by with our 4 year old boy. Im not sure if I was the only one having a hard time finding it. But since the sign was all white it was a little hard to detect from the street. So first of all my first impression when you enter the play center. It was very open, bright and welcoming. It is designed and arranged very child friendly to foster open play. In each area they have included manipulative (large blocks, magna tiles, legos) for fine motor. Also encouraging the children to include their structures in their pretend play. I also appreciate their concept of encouraging children to think outside of the box and build in their own creative way (such as on the wall, floor.. just be creative!) Another huge plus is the quality of toys they offer. Community playthings is well known among educators and famous for high quality, well build toys and furnitures that can withstand children playing a little rough but also let the children play freely and create their own imaginative world. I also love that they have table activities that fosters the children creativity from story telling, drawing and exploring a variety of fine motor activities. All in all, we loved this place! But since there are markers, scissors and other drawing materials available to children, I hope parents would pay more attention to their own child. As I have seen little toddlers running around with scissor or marker in their hand and dropping it on the floor. This is truly a place for you to come and be engaged with your child in their play (as there aren't many adult seating area). I loved spending 2 hours with our little one playing and exploring. I would recommend to come early as it gets crowded by 11am-12pm and the noise level goes up very fast (as some children are getting cranky as it's close to their nap/lunch time). We signed up for the 4:30-6:00 time frame for our two kiddos. We've been to other play streets and we know that there is a 30 minute break between time slots to restore the place. When we arrived at 4:40 the place was a complete disaster. It appeared that other families were still there from the 2:30-4:00 since many families were getting their snack and leaving as we were arriving (it wouldn't make sense for someone to only spend 10 minutes and then leave). At other play streets the employee will continue restoring the toys while children are playing but this employee was not present and did not begin to do any clean up until 5:55. This was a very frustrating experience as our children were completely overwhelmed by the state of the place. We have been to this location for a morning time slot and had no issues but this experience has tainted my view of this location. We do not plan on returning and would not recommend this particular location since there are other much better managed locations nearby. read more

My Daughter has been telling about Play Street. So I looked them up and found one right here in Allen, yay! This place is amazing! It's every kids dream play "room". So many adventures to be had. After I started sending her pics of him playing at different stations, she noticed it was different than the one closer to them. How awesome is that?! Each Play Station has its own theme, of sorts or for the most part! My Grandson is a Train Table junkie, he has a Train Table at each Grandparents Hines as well as his home. But, THIS Train Table is massive compared to ours! He had so much fun with the trains, on our first visit, he stayed there for hours! We've since been several times now, so he's ventured out to check out the other modes of transportation and jobs that transport for the most part. The staff their is awesome, they are constantly picking up and cleaning as the kids are playing in different areas away from where they are picking up, so as not to disturb their play... They even keep the bathrooms immaculate! Additionally, they offer a craft, pertaining to the season, you can do at a slight cost. But there are crayons, markers and colored pencils to just be creative with as well... They also have a bonus to help us when it's time to go You are given a token to use as a "it's time to go, so let's turn in our token for a treat"card! It works like a charm every time. My son totally loves this location! It has everything a boy would like! A huge train table, kid size pretend airplane, kid sized tram, trucks, and buses.. The seating is a little limited, but that's more of a reason to join in on the pretend play fun! There are play structures as well: a travel agency, cafe, and house. We can spend a half day here just playing, usually we leave because he gets hungry! The facility is clean and well kept. The staff circulate to pick up and clean toys. There is an activity station set up with guessing games, books, and take home art activities for the kiddos to complete. The picnic tables are equipped with arts and crafts materials for the crafty type. This place is fun with a capital F! First thing you experience as you enter is the staff greeting you nicely. They have set up a little play area while you pay. Once inside they have an airplane and tsa... little houses and a cupcake shop and so much more to play. When leaving you get to pick a snack. My son grew up playing at all the different locations. We regularly attend all their special events: Lego building, slime party, Santa sweet time. We travel all over to attend. When we saw they opened the Allen location, I invited my son's friends (who all live in Allen) to come join us for the gingerbread house decoration party. I think the concept of play street museum is awesome. What keeps me coming back is how they think and plan every detail out for the parents. So we can just show up play and leave with happy kids. When I arrived at this location. I like how much parking is around so it was easy for parents. The place is very clean and the staff was friendly. Here are the reasons why I didn't give the place 5 stars. I am comparing my experience from Frisco /plano/McKinney location. They had all the stuff set up for kids to decorate. But there wasn't any place for parents to sit. I felt awkward not able to grab a seat freely to sit down with my child. I would squad behind or sit on an open space for a little while If other kids get up. Seating is important because this is about the experience. And you are literally there for an hour trying to decorate the entire house And gingerbread man. I hope they can provide something next time. Also they didn't have baby wipes on the tables. With icing flying and pretty much everywhere. It was get up and run to the bathroom every time your hands got sticky. Please put some wipes on the tables! 2 other things: left over candies /decorations from cups were poured back into the zip lock bags (for re-use). I don't know how clean that is for the candy. Kids are kids. And they end up grabbing for candy with their hands. I probably wouldn't do that because now I'm thinking all those candies my son just ate have been touched by all those little hands from Previous times. The most disappointing thing is they didn't have anything for the gingerbread houses to leave in. They only had the house on a paper plate bottom. When we attended last time in frisco---They gave us a little box tray that will allow the parents to transport those freshly decorated houses home. We didn't take ours because of this. I wish they could give us SOMETHING. Even if it's a bag. I saw other parents telling their kid to leave the houses there as well. Because they can see the mess it can cause if they took the gingerbread house home. Small detail but it can cause argument with kids. The place is pretty big. Plenty of space for a party. The train table was a big hit. They love playing in the food trucks too. The oven in the cafe was big enough that little bitty kids would climb in and get stuck. One of our friends daughter had a hard time getting out. So be careful. I think with time they will get small details down. I would come back and see if things approve for another event later. We visited this wonderful place over the weekend when we attended a birthday party and absolutely fell in love. Until now the Frisco location has been our favorite, but not anymore! The Transportation theme is right up our alley. The massive train table alone could keep my little boys entertained for hours! The pretend money at the travel agency, the rolling suitcases in the airplane, and the bag check station were a thrill! The ice cream truck was another hit. We plan to come back for normal business hours this week, but I must say the birthday party was impressive too. They took care of decorations and passed out dessert and even cleaned up. Only downsides to the Play Street locations (reason for 4 stars) they don't allow any outside food or snacks and I was told recently they no longer sell snacks as it is a no food zone all together. ----- UPDATE: I am so glad Play Street took the time to reply to my review and get some things straightened out (five stars for sure!) So even though they do not allow outside food inside, a snack is included in your admission and there are snacks to purchase. I was also informed you can enjoy your own snacks in the lobby or at picnic tables outside (although I believe once you leave, there is no re-admission). read more

Just as expected from Play Street- clean, well organized and plenty to do. This location is transportation themed with a travel agency, air plane and subway train. The kids loved pulling luggage around and putting them through the conveyer belt (wish TSA made it as enjoyable for us adults). Big hits included a table with train tracks and boats, a food truck and bakery. The had the usual magnet, sticky foam, wooden blocks/cars and sand stations found in other PlayStreet locations. My 4 year old always enjoys his time at PlayStreet and after 2 hours of imaginative play he is ready for his nap! If you haven't been to one of these before, food is not allowed but they have picnic tables outside for a quick bite. The price includes a snack which kids can enjoy in the way home. There is a small gate to keep little ones from running off. Great place for 5 and under to spend a few hours without screens! read more

Wow! I don't even know where to begin when it comes to bragging on Play Street Allen's rockstar employee.... Stephanie C. Last year we hosted my daughters birthday at the Frisco location and didn't really feel that the staff was very kind or helpful. I did 100% of everything myself, could barely get any help, and felt like I was inconveniencing the staff anytime I needed help with pizza or more napkins. Tonight in Allen was a complete 180 to our previous experience. Steph not only helped unload my car when I was stressed, she was so sweet, had the best attitude, truly loved her job, gave super helpful suggestions, and kept insisting on helping which meant the absolute world to this stressed out mama. Stephanie was truly my partner in crime, and she was so helpful every time I turned around to need something. In fact, she was usually two steps ahead of me. I wouldn't ever use another Playstreet location for an event after having such an amazing experience in Allen. My daughter also told me numerous times how sweet Stephanie was, and that she gave great hugs lol. I can't thank Playstreet in Allen enough for making my daughters 5th birthday party such a success, and more importantly Stephanie who went above and beyond to provide an unforgettable experience. I love this location. It feels a lot more spaced out than the other locations I've been to which is great. The girls that work here are so sweet and are always cleaning and disinfecting - which is exactly what you want to see as a mom! My son gets so excited to come here and loves all of the blocks, colors and different houses to go into. The huge magnetic train track is such a fun plus that other locations don't have and it's always a big hit! They are beyond accommodating, proactive, organized, and allow you to choose the pace of the party. This was probably the easiest birthday party I've thrown to date and I am very meticulous. They really made the whole process super easy and relaxing. The pizza they order is really good and all of my guests enjoyed it. I also loved having the option to give my guests a return pass as a party favor and loved the 5 minute warning that the party needed to wrap up.
