Let's just say I had low expectations, reviews were discouraging to say the least. People claiming…read morethe restrooms were in disarray, claiming there was no staff, or that this was some sort of a Third World jungle gym.... Those reviews couldn't be any less poignant, and it makes me question the mental fortitude of every archaic person typing away at their keyboard covered in Cheez-Its.... This is a kids place... YES it smells a little like dirty socks, YES the noise is loud and overwhelming YES kids are messy YES hiring good staff is very difficult But Sarah and her team have done it. Our family of 10 felt secure and taken care of, for the extent of our visit! She answered all of our questions, and went above. Even when we messed things up, she fixed and refunded us fully. Whatever Sarah's salary is; it need be doubled. I recommend this place, and I recommend you work with Sarah or anyone she vouches for... In the endless radio static of kids birthday party ponzi schemes, this place is a clear Fire Side Chat delivered from their commander in chief , Sarah. We'll be back!

Equipment that has been broken for months. Holes in the trampolines. Large spills that do not get cleaned up. Found a large dead cockroach in the middle of a seating area and was there the whole time we were there. A girl employee whistled and yelled at my kid for not being able to make the basketball in the hoop, accusing them of trying to throw the ball over the net when they were just trying to play. The ball never went over the net. Back restricted area that is meant for storage open and accessible. My kid came out of the place with black grime all over his legs. Also, the place has dust bunnies and garbage everywhere. We recognized the same garbage in the same place it was the time prior to our visit. A layer of dust on every surface. I didn't know that it is required to have non slip grip socks so my child went months before an employee realized they didn't have them and gave them the appropriate socks. Upon returning home we realize our socks are permanently stained and black because the place is so filthy. I am regretting buying the membership.

Their prices for admission is comparable to other play gyms for kids, but they do offer packages if you intend to go more than once. The staff were really nice and welcoming as well. They had two separate play areas - one for littles and one for bigger kids - which both included chairs for parents to sit and watch. We like that they had a hand washing station in the play area and promoted cleanliness for all attendees. We would definitely take our daughter back if we are in the area.

They don't offer a military discount or multiple kid discount, but you can often find great deals on Groupon. Everyone is required to wear socks, which they sale for $3.75. Hot food isn't allowed inside, but you can bring in chips and other packaged snacks. The facility was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of snacks and drinks available for purchase, lots of seating for parents, and I especially liked the party rooms and arcade area. One thing that really stood out was the toddler section. It had seating for parents and a nearby bathroom, which made it much more convenient for families with little ones. We arrived around 1:00 p.m. and stayed until 3:00 p.m., and the kids were still having a blast when it was time to leave! It's a great place to let kids burn off energy in a safe, clean environment.

Dropping my rating after attending a 2nd birthday party here (for a kiddo, in case that's not…read moreobvious). Many of the notes in my original review still apply, so check those out for the full details. Again, I do NOT have a kid attending The Palaestra for gymnastics. This is JUST a review based on attending birthday parties here. Since our original visit, the lawyers got a hold of this place. This didn't affect the kids' fun very much, but it did but a little damper on us adults and made the place feel more uptight. Last time we had multiple people in our party hurt themselves, which, hey, was because when adults try to do crazy kid stuff on trampolines... that sort of thing can happen. Nobody sued because our group is cool like that, but it was notably more uptight this time. I can't really blame the place for making this move, but I'm just being honest - last time it was super fun and this time it was... a more typical experience with more rules. So... ya know... Other minus one star: they have recycle bins that are a joke. I'm the guy who snags water bottles sitting neatly on top of the rest of the trash and transfers them to the recycle bin. Here, I found out that their recycle bins are a joke. Literally. They're just more trash cans with labels to make people feel good, thinking they're recycling when they're not. As someone who goes out of their way to not be wasteful, this genuinely pissed me off. Either recycle or don't. Don't lie to me about it. I'm happy to throw plastic bottles in the back of the car to recycle at home. Don't put out "recycle" bins to make me unwittingly trash something that's perfectly recyclable. The kids had a great time, just like the first birthday party I attended here. I think it'd still be a good place to have kids' birthday parties, if you go in knowing there are plenty of rules, etc. But this time I left with a sour taste in my mouth.
