The bubble station was a lot of fun. There wasn't a whole lot to do. We had higher hopes since we go to the one in Little Rock often.

I went today with my child's school for a field trip and I must say it was awful. I am glad my child had fun but from a parent perspective it missed the mark completely. The price was way toooo much for what you see the kids literally spent majority of the time in that grocery area thing. I mean it was nothing else really interesting enough to keep them occupied most of the stuff was either broken or worn down. Also, if you have to use the bathroom prepare to go outside to a port or potty to use the bathroom since there's construction being done inside. Did I mention hazard with lots of kiddos? The staff didn't seem to friendly nor did they care to even acknowledge anyone there. I feel completely disappointed for spending money on a place that the park probably would of been a better idea. As, a experienced mother please don't go here you will be disappointed. Also, if you are coming as a school field trip you will have no where to eat. Why have I not heard more about this place?? Took my girls there and we couldn't even make it all the way around in two hours. I believe it is $10 per person (paid via Pogo Pass) and I thought it was well worth it. There's something there for everyone. My kids enjoyed the kitchen, felt station, bubbles area, airplane field, and anything with building blocks. If they offered re-entry, we would have grabbed some lunch and came back for another two hours. Fun times! read more

Here for a birthday party. It shares it's location with a few other venues, but it is the first store to the left upon entering. To the right is the front desk to pay. I was here for a birthday, which is held in a closed off space with two rooms, one that had a refrigerator and sink/counter space and the other room was the seating area and space where they conducted the show. With all the tables in there, it's pretty tight. The host was provided 3 members/volunteers of Sci-Tech for the party. While they were young, they were professional and savvy in managing and entertaining the children. I was pretty impressed and wish I were that confident at that age. As for the rest of the facility, it's pretty neat. A lot of hands on activities for young ones to engage with and observe. I didn't notice anything out of commissions or broken, so I'm assuming they take good care of everything. It is a bit on the smaller end and definitely targeted at younger children, probably 7 and younger? 8 is a maybe, but possibly stretching it. Ample parking in front of the building. Went here today with my kids and was very unimpressed. Why should adults have to pay just to be in there to monitor their kids? Almost every exhibit was trashed and there were not many people there. Some exhibits didn't even work, broken toy drills in the building area, or missing batteries. All the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty, the experiments with supplies were all empty. The machine with the balls on the metal tracks was completely jammed and malfunctioning. The best part was the employees, one was just wandering back and forth aimlessly, one was hiding in a corner watching videos on his phone. The fact that I wasted $30 on this has depressed me all day. Other than the person that checked us in I never saw anyone that worked there. I took my 8 year old here to play, and he absolutely loved it. You can learn about germs, human body, insects and how gravity work. We came around 11am on a snow day so it was very really empty. My son loved the bubble station best, we stayed around 2 hours before going next door to the video game museum. read more

Our family just loves this place. With rotating exhibits, they always know how to keep it fresh, fun, and exciting! One of my favorite features is the fact that it's all enclosed. There's only one obvious exit, so I'm not worrying about one of my 5 children running off and leaving the building. I also love how engaging and fun each station is! Our family was there for two hours and the kids still had a hard time leaving. Also, with these hot Texas summers, indoor activities are ALWAYS welcome. They even host birthday parties and conduct super fun science experiments during the celebration! Looking forward to coming back. I can understand the less than flattering reviews by other yelpers. Though for me what mattered is how much fun my daughter was having. And she had a fun time. Word of warning: Don't pay $2 for the hurricane contraption. As we walked past it there was a toddler inside with dad and friends outside chuckling. After a closer look I see the reason for the chuckles...Thought I would never see a WTF look on a toddlers face. But, oh boy, there it was, the look on his face. Wish I had snapped a photo. Anyway, my kid seeing someone in there of course wants to do it too (She can't recognize WTF looks yet). I pay $2 (feel like a chump) then we enter the hurricane tunnel thingy. Now a hurricane tunnel sounds exciting right. No, it's not. For 30'seconds or so you have air blown on you. That's it. WTF! Other than that, it was ok. My boys love science and this is one of their favorite places in Frisco. Scitech has hands on activities for preschoolers and up. My boys literally spend hours making bubbles, building structures, racing legos, competing in wheelchairs races and playing on the wizard wall. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they actually take the time to explain the exhibits to the kiddos. The membership isn't expensive and it is totally worth the cost. They also offer camps, birthday parties and field trip opportunities for schools. It's a great place to beat the summer heat and learn something in the process! read more

I took my nephew here a few years ago and it was wonderful. Went back about a month ago and it was awful. Completely different. None of the experiments had the materials needed to actually do them. It was dirty. It was very rundown and half of the exhibits were not working. They charge the adults $10 to get in as well. Complete waste of money. Very disappointing! read more

We had an awesome birthday party for my 7 year old today. We had 12 kids and everyone had a blast. The price for the party was great!!! The kids were able to explore the center for 30 minutes then our great party hosts did some cool experiments in the party room. We had a potions party and we made it Harry Potter theme. The kids were amazed with the "magic" potions! After cake and presents, the kids were able to explore and play until the center closed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. Sci-tech is located in Frisco discovery center along with the national video game museum, a theater and train exhibit of some sort that looked cool. We came up to use our Pogo pass for the video game museum and noted that sci-Tech couldn't be used on the weekend. I happened to pop my head in to ask why and apparently they had changed it recently with their pogo rep and were surprised to show them on the app that it hadn't been changed. So we visited them after we were done with the video game museum. Unfortunately they were not doing any experiments or group things while we are there but they are set up to do so with school groups during the week. Our group got a good about hour out of our visit, I'm sure we would have spent longer if we had my 4 year old with us as a couple activities we would have spent more time on with him vs my 11 year old. Would I make the drive from Ft worth just to come here, not likely as most of the exhibits Ft worth science museum and Perot have similar items in somewhat better repair as we have a membership that gets us into both of those museums. But using it with a pogo pass with the video game museum you can make a day out of that now they allow use on the weekends. As well they have some sort of deal that gets you into most or all of the museums in the building for $20/$25 which seems a enough good deal if you made the drive, you may as well check them all out. read more

Family outing in Frisco before the start of school. As you arrive, parking is plenty but small spaces for those family SUV's. When you enter you can purchase a pass that connects all three museums. The Sci-Tech section is to the left as you enter. The bathrooms are located in the main hallway as you enter. There are family restrooms. You check in as you enter this museum and get wrist bands. There are many hands on experiments like building a plane, Legos, foam blocks, wind experiments, super microscopes, etc. Our kids 2, 9, and 12 had fun. It's NOT for dads and moms so wear your soft shoes and see the smiles coming. Each person over 2 was $10 a must do for the family read more

My daughter had her 9th birthday party at Sci-Tech Center on Sunday, 4/14/24. It was an AMAZING experience. My hosts (James and Sydney) were so proactive, experienced, and organized. Their maturity and knowledge blew us away helping with set up and giving us confidence that they would take care of everything. They were also so good with the kids as well. Definitely would recommend Room 1 (the larger room) if you have a larger group of kids and parents. It was a nice size. The kids had so much fun enjoying the different stations around the center before the birthday party science experiments started. Also if you are considering an add-on, the fire demo was way more interesting than how it is described on the website. I am so glad James mentioned about how it works. I added on at the last minute. The Center is not overly crowded like Perot, has clean, engaging centers, and has good staff and volunteers to keep everything neat. Highly recommend this place for a kid's birthday party read more

Went here with my son to a birthday party, but been here before for a regular visit. It's not very big and for the price it's not the best. They did a decent job for the birthday party. This one was rocket themed, so they did three experiments with the kids. First they built a paper rocket and then launched it from a air-pillow - the kids had fun, but you can buy something like that at Walmart for $5. The second experiment was better. They took a little film capsule, filled it with water and added alka-seltzer, then quickly closed it and put it on the ground on it's cap. Watch it explode to the ceiling. The kids were thrilled. For the best experiment they took us outside. Three bottles of diet coke and three ingredients, ending in the famous mentos and diet coke experiment. The kids were thrilled (and so were the adults). Then back inside for the cake (extra cost) and the pizza (extra cost) and half an hour of playing afterwards. Altogether a fun party for the kids, but I've seen the prices they charge for the parties and it's not worth that. So, if you like science and live close by, maybe it's worth a visit. But if you have time, make the rive to the Perot museum instead! read more

I came here for a child's birthday party and it was a great experience. By attending the party, we were admitted into the center itself and had some time before the formal structured party began. There are different themed areas and the favorite for my toddler was the bubbles of course. It was early on a Saturday morning so the place was not that full. Once we were called into one of the many party rooms they have here, it was time for more fun! The kids had two science related projects that resulted in a physical reaction of some elements. There was a dedicated staff member for the party and it was well controlled. After the "experiments," we had the food and then the party was over. Many of the guests continued exploring the center including us. I would recommend this place for both parties and just to spend a few hours. I would not plan on spending all day here though. read more

As many of these negative reviews state, much of the "exhibits" are not only out dated, surely have not been kept up when they get bent, broken or pieces go missing, but most of the things to do are all the same idea. Ex. - Take this ball and roll it here, now try this one, here's another. One, of the two rooms were almost completely not in working order. I was really disappointed for the money spent. Embarrassed that on vacation here I somehow convinced my family of 14 to check it out. Then also to find out they couldn't even get into the video game area because you've wasted your money on this stuff and now it's another $12 per person to go on.... if there were any people other than the person we bought the tickets from, who was sure to remind us when to be out, well if there were other employees working there they were not interested in helping out said paying customers with any questions or anything. We saw people we think were supposed to be with the summer camp groups that went everywhere and seemed un-supervised, we did at one point see 2 employees having some time to have conversations with one another etc.. At any rate this was a waste of money and a big disappointment. All that money you get from people paying to be here, should keep your exhibits in tip top shape or working order at best! And decent employees will help your business stay afloat. read more

For starters, it's ridiculous that adults have to pay for entry to a kid's museum. For the privilege of watching my kids run around for a half hour, I had to pay $21 just for the adults in our group. Half of the stations are broken, some of them dangerously so with sharp wires sticking out. There isn't really much science or technology. Most of the stations/exhibits are just about environmentalism, which is something my kids had no interest in since it's not fun. Everything was very old and outdated - as if it was setup 15 years ago and never touched since. There was nobody working here except the 1 cashier to take our money. We came here for our sons kindergarten field trip. All of the kids had a blast with all of the hands on equipment. I wish there was a tour guide to interact with the kids but overall a fun experience. There was a ball pit resembling a blood cell. This is a great place to have kids interact with science exhibits. For the 3 to around 12 year old age range the place offers an array of displays for fun and discovery. The front area has a table with bubble water and tools, next to that is an area with a heat activated camera. There is a farmer's market area designed to encourage kids to buy/sell food, along with an apple tree that kids can put apples into and they come back out at the bottom. Another area has a mock house, with a full size washer and dryer! My kiddo spent some time loading and unloading the laundry. In that section the kids can put on a cape and rainboots for a good photo op. For the older kids there is a small science lab-ish area where they can learn about solar energy and water power. Toward the back of the space I saw a party room and then an actual Smart Car that kids can play in. Also in that area resided a recycling center with conveyer belts to place plastic and metal recyclables. One section has wooden plank toys, with one being a pulley system. For the mini-engineer this was a WONDERFUL area to teach about using machines in daily life. Even though the space is in a warehouse and is one giant room, they still did a good job of sectioning off the displays. I had the double stroller and had no problem navigating around. It was around $7 per person, 2 and under were free. I thought for the price it was a fun place to hang out and let the kiddos explore. read more

Went with a group of moms and our 2-ish year olds. Even with young toddlers, this place was great! We happened to come on a day and time that coincided with preschool story time, which was engaging and included making a craft at the end. Our littles got to make their own maracas with plastic eggs, beans, and stickers. It was a fun little activity related to the "sound" theme of story time. The space has plenty of activities for kids of all ages to engage with. Very hands-on (the way science is supposed to be). Some of the stations were a little too "big" for young toddlers, but there were many that our kiddos enjoyed. There are stations to make bubbles, a large foam building station, lots of physics-themed activities. The current exhibit was about spinning, and it had plenty for the kids to observe and manipulate. Overall a good use of $7 and a couple of hours of the day. It was a bit crowded, as there was a bus full of kids on a field trip there while we were there, but the manager said that during the school year it's not quite as crazy. A couple of the exhibits weren't operational and everything felt like it was covered in a layer of dust/kid hand grime. The one girl that was working both the desk and the rest of the center reminded my children several times to clean up after themselves as if they weren't already doing so. Excellent Museum for Hands-On activity with small children or kids ranging from 1 years old to 16 years. Had my son's party and it was a great educational experience. Pricing was a great deal and the amount of attention we received from the hosts helped run the party run much smoother. We were able to pick the theme and the theme consisted of several scientific experiments that intrigued the audience. This is a very unique party package that will help children spark interest in The Sciences. Would definitely visit again and probably have another party at this location.
