Couldn't decide on dinner, so I stopped in. Great customer service. Amazing bowl. Thank you.

Always a great vibe at Playa Bowls Chamblee. The employees are always friendly and the music is always bumping. If you never been to a Playa Bowls and like smoothies / açaí definitely check it out. They have so many different bowl options on their menu. Pitaya base, acai base, banana base and others! Their topping are super fresh and delicious. I typically order the Nutella bowl. Acai Base, bananas, strawberries, granola, Nutella, and coconut flakes(I go with cacao nibs instead.)

This was my first time inside a playa bowl. The staff were so friendly and fun! I had no idea what to expect as I've never been inside and didn't know what types of food they offered. Loved the layout, the options, everything was perfect! The only thing I did not like was that there were tooo many options. They had the walk up menu, a chalk menu on the wall, and another paper version. A lot of pressure to narrow down a specific one. But none the less if you are a person who likes options - you should have no issue!! The ocean avenue bowl was so good. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will go back.

Playa Bowls serves bowls of several bases ( acaí, pitaya, coconut, green, mango, banana, oatmeal), smoothies, juices and coffees w/ sustainability and community in mind. The founders, Robert Giuliani & Abby Taylor, gained inspiration from enjoying açaí and pitaya bowls while visiting surf towns in North and Central America. Playa Bowls is located in the Windsor Parkview shopping center at the intersection of Peachtree Blvd. and Clairmont Rd. Playa Bowls is a chain of over 200 stores nationwide, with six in metro-Atlanta (Beltline, Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Peachtree Corners, Milton, Alpharetta). Playa Bowls transports you to a beach town surf shop with its bright colors, beach murals, and relaxing vibe. Customer service is solid for a fast-casual restaurant. We ordered the Mango Berry Bowl and the Dragonberry-Pitaya Bowl. Bowls are creamy frozen blends of tropical fruits topped with granolas, seeds, and other toppings. I have historically been a skeptic with bowls, but Playa Bowls has made me a believer. The bowls were refreshing, indulgent, full of flavor, and satisfying. I will be back to explore other combinations of bowl happiness. I am also curious about their smoothies and juices.

I decided to treat my body right this morning and I prefer fresh fruits for an early morning breakfast. It's a struggle for me when selecting which delicious bowl. My favorites are Electric Mermaid, Nutella and Hemp Bowl. Friendly staff, good relaxing island vibes and beautiful decor brings back every time!

i go to Playa once a week. Today I went and received the smallest bowl ever ...,,, Where's the fruit?!

I visited Playa Bowls and tried the Peanut Butter Jelly bowl. While the bowl was just okay, I think it may have been more about my choice than the quality. The cashier was patient and answered all of my questions, which I really appreciated and there was a lot of seating. I would definitely go back and try another combination since there are so many great options to choose from!

The vibe here does not match the service that I received today. I arrived 430p and they were already shutting down for 5pm. Management needs to update operation hours because it is misleading.

This place has great vibes and I hope they don't change! All was very good the both times I have been here and I received nothing but great customer service!!! I love their bowls and the place is always clean!!! SHOUT TO THE GIRLS AT PLAYA BOWL CHAMBLEE! Wepa!!!!

We decided to come here after coming here late last night well after it closed for the day. We were out and about in Doraville, and wanted something light for lunch to take home, so we came here to pick up bowls. The parking lot directly in front of Playa Bowls was full since there are a lot of small businesses sharing the same parking areas, so I had to park in the nearby parking garage. Btw, all of the parking areas in this shopping area are free. Went inside, and there was a short line ahead of us, so it gave us a little time to look at all the menu items listed on the huge board near the entrance. I love coconut, so I was going to pick a bowl with coconut, which allowed me to only focus on a short list of bowls. The smiling employee at the order counter was friendly. I ordered the Coco Power Coconut Bowl, which has raw coconut, banana and coconut milk all smoothly blended with vanilla protein topped with granola, banana, coconut flakes and almond butter. It was nice to see my bowl being made with fresh ingredients. Our bowls were made within five minutes, and the employee put them both in a nice sturdy bag with handles. The store itself is very clean and colorful. The vibe is definitely beachy, with a big breaking wave, an anchor, palm trees, and a huge mermaid with octopus tentacles wrapping around her wrists all painted on the walls in the store. High top tables provide customers eating indoor a place to site and enjoy their bowls and drinks. I immediately opened my bowl after arriving home. Other than the similar colors of the large coconut flakes and the thinly sliced bananas, the bowl had a good presentation. The banana slices were firm enough to hold their shapes, and they didn't have a strong flavor. The coconut flakes were just slightly crunchy (I hate hard coconut flakes that I have to chew awhile). The coconut milk was frozen enough to be creamy and the granola blended well in it. My personal issue that I had with the Coco Power Coconut Bowl was that, by the end, it was getting too sweet for me. Most people wouldn't think that this is a sweet bowl, but I could taste it. I think in the future, I'll probably get a bowl with more fruits in it. There are a whole lot of different types of bowls to try. The prices are on the high side, but I don't come here often, so it's more like a treat.

Menu

ehh , it's good but not that flavorful. Beautiful shop though. Nice staff I added a few pictures, check them out.

Electric Mermaid Pitaya Bowl

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The Electric Mermaid with extra honey and Nutella is my absolute favorite. There is just something about Playa Bowls that stands out to me more than other smoothie bowl places. I like the fruit and topping choices. I go to both locations and they are equally great. (Think they just opened one in Alpharetta/Milton too?).

The barbecue pork over rice was pretty simple and plain, but I do appreciate that it comes with some steamed bok choy because it's nice to have a good balance of some vegetables in there with all the starch and pork. There's plenty of seating so if you go with a family or a larger group, you should be good to go and there's a place to seating outside. For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
