How have I missed this place?! Located in the "Atlanta Chinatown" area, this is a highly socializing & busy communal food spot offering authentic choices of Chinese, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Laotian & Korean food. The restaurant I visited, was the Chinese kitchen & will review that shortly. The Great Wall of China is depicted on two corner walls, as well as a statue of Guanyin located in the corner. The Red and gold Chinese paper lanterns hanging above the walkways give off that authentic "Chinatown" atmosphere. The retail portion includes unique shopping to the culture - hair salon/supplies, clothing, tailor/dry cleaning, bookstore, electronics, cosmetics & even a pharmacy. You must take the moment out & sit in the gorgeous Bonsai garden that includes a Koi pond. I'll be back.

Gave this place a try and it's basically a bunch of Chinese takeout places with a variety of choices to try! I tried the Singapore noodles, was disappointed because it usually comes with chicken and beef, but they only make it with shrimp here. The portion was massive though. It was a cold night, and they gave me some hot soup with my order which I really appreciated. Such a sweet touch.

I visited this food court for the first time in 2017. Recently, I was craving Chinese food and I remembered this gem. The prices here are affordable and the food portions are huge. This time, I ordered Eggplant with Garlic Sauce and the Lamb Hot Pot from Chong Qing Hot Pot. The eggplant dish was topped with a savory garlic sauce and was mildly spicy. While the meat in the Lamb Hot Pot was cooked to perfection, the entree had way too much chili oil. Overall, I had a great experience here and would return to try a different stall next time!

I think I already posted a review here but we tried the dry hot pot (beef) at China Kitchen and it was great! It included a nice variety of vegetables. They have a lot of other options on their menu too! My favorites are the master dumpling, spicy ground pork noodle (Dan Dan), basil eggplant, and the Chinese burrito is a fun novelty dish!

So we finally made it here, and walked a bit at all the different menus available. Settled on Hong Kong BBQ (because Roast Duck and Pork). Awesome

    Hard rice

(YANMI YANMI) out of all the food court stay away from this one. (YANMI YANMI )The people who make the the food are unexperienced cooks and the food is overpriced ! I was given hard, rice, soggy, oily fries, and Small over cooked buffalo wings with no buffalo sauce!! Out of all the food courts ,this place ain't it (YANMI YANMI).

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

They did not skimp on the protein, the bottom of the dish is veggies but I don't mind because I love vegetables and it's still very filling. Food came out pretty quick and the workers were courteous. A great place to get a cheap and tasty meal.

If you come on the weekends, beware the lines and wait time is absolutely nuts. Hostess was getting a bit frustrated, but all the servers/staff inside with the dim sum carts were super nice and personable. There's a tablet to check in at the door when you walk in. The inside was also renovated and looks very different than the old restaurant. Parking is also limited when it gets busy. I don't really eat meat much anymore besides seafood. So I didn't try too many dishes. But my dad loved everything he had, especially the century egg congee. I love the shrimp hargow, basically like shrimp dumplings with a transparent dough. My favorite though was the shrimp steamed rice roll. The shrimp were big and plump, and the sauce they pour on it is really good. Like a soy sauce with a touch of sweetness. I also really enjoyed the fried rice and the hot tea. Everything I tried I can wholeheartedly recommend, but honestly I didn't try too many dishes. I would definitely come back again!! Just maybe at a less prime time because the wait was really crazy.

The food itself was good, no complaints there, but it took a long time for our dishes to come out. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed for the holiday rush, and the wait times definitely showed it. I don't think this is their usual pace, and I'm willing to chalk a lot of it up to the Father's Day crowd. Still, for a big holiday, you'd expect the restaurant to be better prepared. I'd come back on a normal day, though, because the food really was solid.

DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!
