This was my first time at playa bowls! I've seen it passing by while going to work. I scanned the menu online and I found many appetizing things but the BAE BOWL 3.0 stood out. My daughter loves Açaí bowls and this is her go to. She also goes to Bahia Bowls too but I think she prefers Playa Bowls. This was my first time here. We saw them at The Taste of Cooper City as well. I dig a good Açaí bowl but honestly, I can't justify $14 for it. It's pricey!!! I don't remember açaí bowls being this pricey. I also make açaí bowls at home so I suppose that's where it's hard to justify the cost. Ha. The girls got a Nutella Açaí bowl. I love Nutella just as much as the next person but how is the Nutella part healthy? Lol. They loved it and it made them happy. I had a few bites and it was good. Honestly, I think I need to find a bowl that I really want to try and maybe that will make up for the pricing. This place is really cute and their branding is cute. They also give away free stickers by the front counter. I snagged a palm tree sticker. Because Florida. I promise to come back and give the full experience a second chance and not let the cost Jade me. I'm sure I can find something on their extensive menu that I like. Located in the Monterra Shops on University Drive just south of Stirling Rd, this is one of the newer Playa Bowl locations. It's taken me a while to get here but had to try it out. This location seemed to have a lot of empty space when you first walk in. Not sure of how it can be used better but maybe doesn't seem as inviting as some of the other locations I have been to. Staff was friendly but it took a while to get my juice made. I asked for a swap on one of the ingredients and thankfully I watching it being made as the ingredient I asked to be swapped out was almost put in my juice. The juice was tasty but could have been a little bit colder. Will definitely come back though to try a bowl on another day for a sweet treat. read more

Terrible experience--twice now. HORRIBLE! First time, we were rushed out before closing while still eating. Tonight was even worse. Store says they close at 8:00 PM. I showed up at 7:50 PM and the place was already shut down. Lights off in front and the are giggling in the kitchen, employees inside, and they straight up ignored me while I knocked--even after making eye contact. This is not how you run a business. If you close at 8, you close at 8--not 7:50 when it's convenient for your staff. I promised my 6-year-old a bowl and had to walk away because your employees didn't feel like doing their job. So today, if you were in line before 11 am, you got a free bowl. We arrived around 10:30 and figured we'd wait the till end of it. It was scorching heat. We earned every penny as we waited an hour and half to get these free bowls. The staff in the food truck gave out free samples and water bottles. We received promotions like buy one, get one. They had different venues there as they tried to introduce us to their products. There was a Photo Booth, Cooper City cheerleaders and a live DJ. I think this event was well planned out! Now to the food! We got to choose one bowl from their menu per person. Ended up costing $60 worth of food for 4 bowls, but because we arrived prior to 11 am, it was all free. The service was fast. The food portion for our bowls was more than enough. Tasted fresh, cool, and delicious. My personal favorite was the mango power. Just wish I could've added Nutella. My little family of four loved it! Everyone was smiling, eager to help and just overall great vibe inside. Would recommend 10/10 read more

If you ask me all healthy places, have one thing a comment appliable but I can honestly see the actual appliable restaurant is way different than everybody's pliable now why it's just flavor and you don't have to. It doesn't do too much like it. It's it hits right on point I had to pliable I had a smoothie I almost had almost everything there and I could tell you one thing it tastes amazing. The service is great and the ambience is amazing. You can go in there and literally just chill. Not a lot of patience you can do that right but you can actually go in there and chill And just whatever you got going on you can leave it at the door and it's just in fighting welcome you know what I mean. Avoid this location at all costs. I am a huge fan of Playa-Davie and was looking forward to this one opening just to be let down immensely. I've visited twice now and the first time, my bowl, if you could call it that, was soupy. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but when I returned a second time, my smoothie had questionable chunks. On top of that, customer service is dismissive and rude to say the least. There is an obvious lack of training. I want to believe this isn't a problem with the staff, but rather an underlying issue with management. read more

Would not recommend, firstly I went in because this place had kosher written on front so I was curious to try this place. I asked them what procedures do they follow that are kosher and one of the workers did not understand what that meant. I asked if they wash their fruit a certain way or if the rabbi blesses the food. The worker said they only kosher wash the strawberries and they have not seen a rabbi since they started. I also viewed outside drinks being brought into the store which is not allowed under kosher rule. So I was confused and wanted to ask more before I ordered from here. I proceeded to ask the employee if i could speak to the manager and maybe they could explain some things that didn't make sense, then they said there was no manager there it was only her at the moment, I asked when a manager would be here they said there was no manager scheduled today. The general manager has not been seen for months apparently by an employee who started a couple months ago, so what kind of company is this? The food does not get verified by a rabbi every time it is received, Management is inexistent, kosher protocols are not performed so they are just using the name to profit off the jewish community? This is horrible on the owners. I decided I would try the food just to see if it was enjoyable but they were out of bananas and protein, in the beginning of the day? and this is a common occurrence to run out of items. the owners need to be better. read more
