I've been meaning to try Play Bowls ever since I've seen multiple locations pop up and I get the hype. Fresh ingredients with many menu options bound to appease just about anyone. From smoothies, to bowls, there was plenty to choose from. I myself tried their Pura Vida bowl which is probably as basic as it comes but nothing about it tasted basic. Again, fresh ingredients and just the right size to leave me full and satisfied. A bit pricey for my liking is my only negative feedback but it's almost expected. The ambiance is open and fun giving the kiddos some fun spots for photo ops. The staff were friendly and inviting first thing in the morning. And even offered some of their personal menu favorites.

Always come here for a little pick up! The ginger shot really helps when I'm sick and the bowls are delicious on hot days. Everyone is super nice and prices aren't that bad considering how expensive fruit is nowadays. Definitely better than pura vida in Miami

i love acai bowls! ive had playa bowl in nyc and this location did not disappoint either. i like that they have outdoor and indoor seating because the inside of their store is pretty cold. service was super quick and simple. our bowls took about 12 minutes to be made. my bowl was super delicious. i like how they have tons of options and you can even make ur own bowl

This is for the delicious acai and oatmeal bowls. I just started coming to fort Lauderdale and Davie locations for breakfast and lunch to put brakes on my comfort food grits eggs bacon pancake lifestyle. In both locations, usually the prep is pretty quick. The menu has all sorts of base and topping combinations. I haven't had a "bad" combination bowl with the bases I stick to, one day I'll try something other than oatmeal and acai, I'm just tryna eat more "clean" and playa bowls are worth it to me right now.

Honestly one of my favorite açaí spots to go to! I just love that there are so many options and flavors to choose from. Love that it is close to where I live! The service was fast and the bowls are always great! I decided to eat mine at store because I love the vibe inside and they are plenty of seats to sit down at.

Amazing açaí!! Very authentic tasting açaí. Not overly sweet and has good flavor. Bowl was a decent size and I felt that they put a good amount of toppings. I got a custom bowl with just banana, strawberry and peanut butter. I wasn't a big fan of the peanut butter as it tasted a bit salty to me. I confirmed with the cashier that the peanut butter is natural and contains salt. I still enjoyed my bowl. I love the fresh strawberries and bananas. The menu is pretty extensive! I love that they let you sample the bases if you're not sure what to get. The employees are very knowledgeable about the product and are happy to help you make a choice. Will be visiting again soon to try a different bowl.

Playa Bowl recently launched its spring menu and I'm here for all the mango action I stopped in and tried their Mango Mama bowl. Definitely a refreshing combo of Playa pitaya, mango and chia pudding base. Topped with blueberry flax granola, mango, banana, coconut flakes and drizzled with almond butter. This is perfect anytime throughout the day. I also tried the Rise and Shine smoothie, which I found on the heavier side and would make a perfect meal replacement. It's a mix of a banana, blueberry, vanilla protein, peanut butter, blueberry flax granola and almond milk. As always, their service is superb and the inside is kept clean.

Best açaí bowls in the city hands down, owners and operators are good people. Fruit is a always so fresh and delicious, can't wait to return to try something new on their large menu. The store itself takes you to a tropical island, love the vibes!

Playa bowls it's always great for lunch or breakfast! This bowls are delicious and all the fruits are so fresh ! The beach theme decorations go great together ! The service it's great even though I went on the 2nd anniversary and the line was out the door! Looking forward to coming here again and getting a pitaya bowl!

I am a regular at Playa Bowls and have been a customer basically since the company first started! I went to undergrad in Pennsylvania and one of their first locations was near my campus. So, I've been having their food since 2015 or so. The Davie location is wonderful and, as always, the interior vibes are very cute. I usually get the Nutella bowl. Pitaya bowls are also good. Recently, I tried one of the coconut based bowls and it was quite delicious but the coconut flavor was a bit heavy for me. I think it's just a personal preference thing. There has been only one time out of the dozens that I've been where I didn't like my order. That was the strawberry banana smoothie. Beautiful color but really no flavor. I still drank it though because "healthy". Also, if you are a Nova student, you get a discount here which is super nice!

Came for breakfast a coconut bowl and added some vanilla whey protein which was delicious, fresh, and frosty. The portions are big and prices good. The store inside is very cute but small so with the blenders and music going it's kinda loud. The fruits taste fresh and overall very good place for smoothies and bowls. The staff is also friendly and even helped me with my decision on the nuteloco bowl which I was scared would be too chocolate but it was a perfect sweet touch.

I came in on a Sunday morning around 10am and it was super crowded, which was a good sign. Despite the crowd, the line moved fast and my order came out really quickly. They have more matcha flavors than anywhere else I've seen, so it was a hard choice. I ended up going with the marshmallow, and I'm super happy with my choice. The matcha and marshmallow flavors were both strong and complemented each other well. They have a pastry case that I completely missed because it's around the corner, or I might have tried something there too. I love the cute animal decor as well, and I don't believe they charged extra for alternative milks, which is always huge bonus points for me. I'll definitely be back to try other flavors and maybe an empanada!

I would recommend this as a good place to chat with a friend over a space for studying or working. Especially because I found the staff lovely and conversational. Their prices are far more reasonable than many other local coffee shops nearby which was definitely a major plus. I enjoyed the lavender latte, but would probably only get it hot in the future, and would try a different iced latte flavor. The spicy chicken empanada was delicious and I would definitely get it again. It had a nice curry sauce inside (though it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be). The ham and cheese sandwich was also surprisingly good. Though simple, they tasted like quality ingredients.

I didn't realize how close this place was to me so I will definitely be visiting more frequently. Their set up is nice. There is a shared area where you can sit under the shade and there is a turf area where it looks like they have some things to keep children entertained for a bit so this place is also family friendly. The space is shared with another truck but I think they serve food. At Whole Latte Monkeys I was sad to see that the truck was not open on the inside, but from what I could see, the set up and decor inside the truck was very cute. I placed my order at the window, and got a Lavender iced Matcha latte with oat milk, a vanilla latte with oat milk and a Papito Chulo with oat milk. As I was ordering, I realized some of the names of the drinks are named after some of the monkeys they have shown on display in the truck which was a very cute touch. I wasn't able to read the stories of the monkeys, but I will certainly ask next time. The cashier/barista was very kind and patient while I decided what to order. I wasn't too crazy about the matcha, because I love a stronger, more astringent matcha, but the Papito Chulo was a hit and I would come back for that drink. Overall such a cute spot, great coffee and a hidden gem in this area. I'd definitely come back with friends and family to grab a drink, walk around the garden and relax.

She politely approached the truck and was told that they do not provide cups of water and that bottled water was available for purchase. When she explained she only wanted a little water to finish her drink, she was again told no and encouraged to buy a bottle instead. She politely declined and returned to her table where my kids were. As she was explaining the interaction to me and my son, an employee who had been cleaning a nearby table abruptly interrupted the conversation and said, "If you want free water, go to Starbucks." My wife was understandably surprised and said, "Excuse me?" The woman then made it very clear that she was the owner and proceeded to say things such as: "What coffee shop gives free water?" "Why do people always want everything for free?" "If you don't like our ways, you can leave and go to Starbucks." My wife calmly explained that she had not come there to argue, especially over a cup of water that had already been denied and was no longer a big deal. She also reminded the owner that we were paying customers and had not asked for anything for free. In fact, my wife had generously tipped before being treated this way. I told my wife to keep me on the phone and I seen the owner continuing to pace around my wife ranting about people wanting things for free. Another employee, who appeared to be her daughter, was heard telling her in Spanish, "Ma, ya, basta" ("Mom, enough"), but the owner continued. She then sarcastically offered my wife sink water now and remarked, "You can drink it at your own risk," but while continuing to tell her to leave and go somewhere else for free water. The entire interaction was bizarre, awkward, and honestly shocking. My wife and kids sat there completely puzzled and offended. I told my wife to leave and she did but not before telling the owner that they would gladly leave but that, as a business owner herself, she should work on her customer service before running her business into the ground over her mouth. What was most surprising was that other customers witnessed the exchange too. I heard over the phone while my wife was walking out a customer say "that's not right". My wife said the couple also got up and left too. Overall, between the overpriced coffee, lack of Wi-Fi that my wife said they told her they don't share with customers and most importantly the incredibly rude and unprofessional treatment by the owner herself, this is not a place we will be ever visiting again or recommending as locals. All that unprofessional treatment over my wife asking for a cup of water to dilute their overly sweet and overpriced drinks, what a joke.
