I got a custom bowl with just banana, strawberry and peanut butter. I wasn't a big fan of the peanut butter as it tasted a bit salty to me. I confirmed with the cashier that the peanut butter is natural and contains salt. I still enjoyed my bowl. I love the fresh strawberries and bananas. The menu is pretty extensive! I love that they let you sample the bases if you're not sure what to get. The employees are very knowledgeable about the product and are happy to help you make a choice. Definitely a refreshing combo of Playa pitaya, mango and chia pudding base. Topped with blueberry flax granola, mango, banana, coconut flakes and drizzled with almond butter. This is perfect anytime throughout the day. I also tried the Rise and Shine smoothie, which I found on the heavier side and would make a perfect meal replacement. I visited Playa Bulls Davie/University location yesterday around 12 pm. We waited in line for about 10 minutes with no one taking our order or acknowledging us or others in line. There were about 15 people inside, also waiting without food. After another 10 minutes, a younger girl employee told us she couldn't help for 20 more minutes because they were "busy packing orders for the Panthers game". This game doesn't take place until 7 p.m.! Completely ridiculous, especially since people who had already ordered were still waiting. We were told to "come back later." I am a regular at Playa Bowls and have been a customer basically since the company first started! I went to undergrad in Pennsylvania and one of their first locations was near my campus. So, I've been having their food since 2015 or so. The Davie location is wonderful and, as always, the interior vibes are very cute. I usually get the Nutella bowl. Pitaya bowls are also good. Recently, I tried one of the coconut based bowls and it was quite delicious but the coconut flavor was a bit heavy for me. I think it's just a personal preference thing. There has been only one time out of the dozens that I've been where I didn't like my order. That was the strawberry banana smoothie. Beautiful color but really no flavor. It may be more of a younger staff, but it is my obsession with açaí that keeps me coming in! The location is beautiful, very atheistically pleasing . Not the best presentation with the bowls, but i can't deny my craving and refuse to drive to coral springs lol. I really like eating acai bowls so I came here with some friends for a late breakfast. The place is really nice and they give out stickers! the fruits and bowls also are really fresh and taste healthy. Before ordering I tried both of the main bases, the acai, and the pitaya (dragonfruit), and thought the acai was a bit bland but liked the pitaya a lot. I ordered the nutaya bowl because I was hoping that the Nutella would make the bowl a bit sweeter. I also switched out the coconut and blueberries for mango and pineapple, which was a great choice. The bowl was pretty good, but it was a bit sour and the mixing of the Nutella and the sourness was not the best. One of my main issues was that the price of the bowl was a lot for the quantity given, and I was not full after finishing. Attended the preview/tasting of the new Davie location! As someone who grew up in Davie and knows the area well I was SO excited to hear Playa Bowls found a new home here. With no other authentic açaí shop in the area it's an absolute must! This particular location is even cooler because of the awesome tropical decor and interior design. Very insta worthy. WoW. We've been obsessed with finding the best Acai bowl here in Florida since trying one in Hawaii. And we think we might have found it, here, in Davie, right in our backyards. We tried the Pura Vida Acai Bowl which was simple, straight to the point, and not filled with too much fluff. From the aesthetics, the fresh sweet strawberries to the ripe blueberries and the drizzle of honey, even with all that, the star of the bowl the acai was perfect. The consistency of the acai was smooth, substantial; it didn't melt so easily, but was also not hard nor chunky. It was the perfect acai bowl. I was excited to see the menu. It was large. The first thing you see when you walk in as it takes up the entire right wall. If you look up (and all around), the decor screams pineapple! After all, this is Pineapple land! They offer other bases like pitaya and chia, and even oatmeal bowls. There is an option to mix two bases in one. I also tried the The Jetty chia seed bowl. I was excited because they make it with coconut milk which is what I prefer (it's a little heavier in consistency with milk plus the flavor is nice). However, for me it was a little too watery and not thick enough. I still gave five stars because the acai bowl blew me away. With the consistency, the level of sweetness was just right, the fruits were fresh and ripe, the portion was enough for two! Definitely will come back. read more

I had the Nutella bowl with the acai base... just without the Nutella lol I substituted it for bee pollen and then went home and put honey on it instead of paying the extra $.50 since I'm clearly cheap (and my honey is really good quality but that's beside the point).
