I was shocked by how nice and spacious the inside space is in comparison to the New Brunswick location. They have tons of tables and seating. Let me start with don't you hate when you're really craving something and you drive all the way to get it and it's completely screwed up!? This has been my favorite Playa Bowls ever. The other two I've been to have been trash every time. I went tonight and I am soo disappointed. My mango base is so watery not thick how it usually is. I paid for extra nutella and they literally smeared a dab on the side of my bowl with a spoon like enough for it to look like there was some in the bowl. I also paid extra to add peanut butter and there was no peanut butter. I'm so annoyed because they're closed now and I can't take it back for a remake or refund. These Açaí bowls are not as popular here in the East Coast as they are in the West Coast. I feel many places advertise that these are super healthy. So before I went, I did a little research and was very surprised at the calorie count. Depending on which base, fruit and toppings you choose, the calories can add up. So if you think after a hard workout, you can indulge in one of these without any guilt, think again. With that being said, they are a refreshing treat. I had my eye on one but as usual, I let my son choose one for us to share since it only comes in one size. Even with the both of us, we couldn't finish it. Service was friendly. They had the music on full blast. You have to scream out your order and the cashier will scream back at you to confirm. I must've done a good job because she didn't ask me to repeat. The three star rating is based on the fact that if I could choose another sweet treat, I would only choose these overly, sugary Açaí bowls once in a blue moon. But to each their own. I have never had a bad experience at a playa bowl and was excited one was opening near me. The first 50 customers got free bowl and swag, but I was not getting there at 7am! I was not at all disappointed! The employees seemed happy to be there and to serve all the customers waiting! I got a combo açaí and pita ya bowl with bananas, strawberries, Nutella and granola. Yum!!!!! Over half of it is in the freezer to eat later as it is huge! I highly recommend this shop for a healthy treat any time! Once I got the bowl and realized there was granola- and let them know I was allergic - they were extremely kind and thoughtful - remade the entire bowl and took every precaution! On top of experiencing excellent service - the açaí bowl was fantastic - so fresh and tasted delightful! My husband got the summer something smoothie and he loved it also! When I received it, it was no longer an Acai bowl it was now a Soup Acai bowl. The customer service at this location is horrible and as close as it is to me, I will be taking the trip to Princeton.
