Delicious food, very friendly and professional service, a cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices. They're refried beans have very good flavor.

Shrimp a La Diablo! Wow it's got some heat!

Small business with friendly staff. Could use a bit more if a Mexican theme for the dining room. Chips were good with spicy salsa (not too spicy though). Shrimp a La Diablo was great! Careful a bit spicy though

Great Mexican food and vibe. Friendly staff. They give you free chips and salsa too.

Our finished drinks (lime margarita on ice and frozen strawberry margarita)!

Came here for a celebration dinner and was not disappointed! I forgot to take a picture of the food, but I got the finished drinks! I had hard beef tacos (beef was so flavorful and cojita cheese beautifully sprinkled on top). My mom had a taco salad made with a shell bowl (said this was amazing). My dad had the beef enchiladas (mentioned that the sauce over top was sweeter than normal, but he still thought they were good). For drinks, I tried the frozen pina colada margarita (amazing, highly recommend) and frozen strawberry margarita (not as flavorful, but was decent). I definitely recommend this place if looking for Mexican in Bloomsburg.

Playa Cancun moved here from its old location along Route 11 several years ago. This building previously housed Ridgway's and Three Willows Restaurant. Location is easy accessible off of central road with plenty of parking. My primary experience with Playa Cancun is with takeout orders. Pickup is easy enough, either in the restaurant portion or at the bar. The interior portion is nice, very wood grain decor, with a fair amount of seating. There is a patio for outside dining. Takeout orders come with a good amount of food. I go with the Cheesesteak Quesadilla that comes with Mexican rice, refried beans, various vegetables/sour cream/guacamole, chips, and salsa. I've never after a meal from here left hungry, and for some this could easily be two meals. Overall worth the stop for a good, hardier meal.

There are options to choose from - quesadilla, burrito, bowl, tacos, etc. All orders come with a side of chips and you select your salsa at their salsa station - yes I just said salsa station, that is pretty cool! I don't love building my own items so I wish they had a "base" to add or remove from, but I get the concept. I chose a bowl with rice, black beans, birria - new item, onions, peppers, cheese and sour cream. The bowl was HUGE! I didn't even finish half of it. It was good, but I didn't love the seasoning on the birria sadly... I also tried the chips- crispy and perfect - and all the salsas at the Salsa station. Sadly I didn't really care for any of the salsas, I think it's preference. The restauarant was clean, the employees were friendly and helpful and my experience was quick and casual. So overall I think it's a win. I don't love that the restrooms are directly in front of the entrance door, but not much can be done about that.

There were couple tables of customers and there are plenty of seats available. Bathroom was clean enough but could be better. Inside the store was also clean, the salsa counter was wiped down alright. I got a bowl of Adobo chicken and green sauce (don't remember how it is called lol) with half and half of both rice. The food tastes pretty good except for white rice that was not cooked. There were a lot of hard or undercooked rice in my bowl which was a bit disappointing. Staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. She even helped me look up for my account and informed me about some free redemptions. Their price is very reasonable as well.

Kinda hard to gauge these places as there is a wide breadth in quality for a lot of these items. My party received the crab fries and I got the fried haddock. The crab fries were excellent. Enough crab and cheese for each individual fry. I forget the specific sauce but I found myself dunking frequently. The fried haddock was light, flaky whitefish but filling. The tartar sauce was excellently tangy and refreshing. I have a feeling they make it in-house. I had two beers and the tab came out to around $40. For a Friday evening, I would call this a high quality experience to banter with friends or coworkers.

While I get the raspberry cheesecake every chance I get if they have it, tonight we had the blueberry and banana deserts. And they were amazing!
