    Mashed chickpea sandwich
    Danielle S.

I would love to give more than 5 stars for the wonderful food at this cafe. Vegan, vegetarians, meat eaters, everyone will find something here. I ordered the mashed chickpea sandwich - huge sandwich on a multigrain roll with creamy chickpeas, greens, onions, and a small side of spicy rice with black beans and peppers in it. My husband got the Italian sandwich with vegan pepperoni and he loved it. We both tried the Mexican corn chowder and that was great too. I added a little black pepper but he liked it as is. All of the food was so fresh and filling. None of it was terribly expensive either. Root 11 is connected to a small grocery store that supplies some produce, greeting cards, candy, snacks, health and beauty items, mostly products of the organic/better for you variety.

Chicken with Apple Butter, and caramelized onions.

WOW!!!!! I was in Bloom for work and found this awesome little bistro on Yelp! It was tough to decide what I wanted to try for lunch, chilled steak sandwich, beet salad, brunch, burgers. I chose the chicken ciabatta with apple butter and caramelized onion. Absolutely fantastic. I am so enjoyed the side of sweet potato salad with an unsweetened green tea. The sandwich was huge, tons of chicken $11. I can't wait until next week when I'm back in Bloom. The bistro is right off US11, plenty of parking, seating inside and out. Super, friendly staff. I agree with the other review SIX stars!!!!!

This cafe was really cute, and had a small menu. We stopped by for brunch. We got the veggie, egg, and cheese sandwich, as well as the french toast. For drinks, we got blaci tea and kombucha. I really enjoyed the sandwich, it had lots of veggies, the bread they used looked very healthy and expensive as well. They were also very accommodating, they cooked it all on a seperate pan from the main grill, because we can't have it contaminated with grease from meats. However, the french toast was really bad. It was partially burnt and was very dry and had no flavor. Could've used some berries atleast as well. The tea was fine. I was excited about their homemade kombucha but it had no fizz at all, meaning it wasn't fresh.

a burrito with a side of dips

The name caught my eye, It's Root 11 located on RT 11! I've been meaning to stop in and see what they're all about, Very glad I did. The store has everything you would find in a " Mother"s Market in California. Homeopathic products, foods for the health conscious and helpful store assoc. The small but abundant cafe has a nice menu with items from burgers and tofu to breakfast burritos and cupcakes! The burrito was filled with fresh veggies and eggs. Delicious! I wasn't fond of the coffee but everything else was great.

Grilled Mushroom and Black Garlic Sandwich w/ shredded chicken on gluten free wrap

We happened upon this gem passing through Pennsylvania on I-80. The building set up is really fun - big open room inside with the restaurant on one end and a natural market/grocery store on the other. There was both indoor and outdoor seating (covered by umbrellas). The menu ranged from vegan to carnivore. We ordered a black garlic salmon burger on brioche that was really good. I tried the mushroom black garlic sandwich and had shredded chicken added. Each sandwich came with a small side of the broccoli cranberry salad. I appreciated the gluten free wrap option, but it wasn't great. The sandwich filling was fantastic. The local kombucha was light and refreshing, and the vegan gluten free oatmeal cookie sandwich was truly the best gluten free baked food I've ever tasted. The only bummer was the lack of good gluten free bread options for sandwiches, but that wouldn't stop me from stopping in again.

After looking up this restaurant on Google, I was so enamored by their unique menu, especially their Weeds & Seeds Salad that I was dying to dine at this Farm to Table Restaurant. Thankfully, my sweet coworkers made my wish come true! We were a large group of 8 and shared the: 1) Local Cheese Plate (Changes daily, we had Aged Cheddar, Starlight, St. Malachi, and the Black & Blue; $14) 2) Beets W/ Goat Cheese and Dill ($7) The starters we ordered were all so delicious! Of the cheeses, my favorite was the St. Malachi. I've never tried this one before and it was so flavorful, a bit tender and nutty. You have to try this if you haven't yet! For myself, of course I had to order the Weeds & Seeds Salad (Wild Salad Mix, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Bee Pollen, Edible Blossoms, Honey Mustard Vinaigrette; $8). This salad was a dream, to say the least! Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted amazing! It was unlike any salad I have ever tried before. I loved the light Honey Mustard Vinaigrette and the touch of Bee Pollen. For my main dish, I ordered the Rainbow Trout (Trout Filets Dusted with Sumac and Pan Seared Topped with Vanilla Buerre Blanc and Red Raspberry Gastrique; $25) W/ Hot Greens and Cold Veggie as my two accompaniments. The trout was so delectable and unique. I loved the taste of the vanilla with the raspberry together, such complementary flavors! The Hot Greens and Cold Veggie were also really delicious. For dessert I tried their Shiso-Basil Creme Brulee ($6). Can I just say, what a marvelous combo? I am obsessed with Shiso leaves, but have only had them with sashimi. Never have I seen it used in a dessert. This Creme Brulee just tasted so perfect that I wanted to order another one, but didn't want my coworkers to judge me haha. The chef here is just so talented and the customer service was outstanding. The interior of the restaurant is so charming, a bit rustic and minimalistic and I loved the touch of fresh flavors at every table. Could not praise nor express my love for this restaurant more. Thank you for such a lovely and unique experience The Blind Pig! I hope to dine here again one day!

First off, we got there early and sat down at the bar for a drink before our 6p reservation. Only problem was the bar tender never acknowledged us for at least 5 minutes even though she looked right at us making drinks. Luckily one of the waitress said hello and told us the bar tender would be right with us. I assume she noticed the bar tender ignoring us. The hosted was very nice and sat us early when I let her know my wife and I were here but my friend wasn't here yet. After we sat, our waitress never checked in to see if we wanted anything as we waited for my friend. I had to wave her down to let her know we would like to order a few appetizers. The appetizers, were simply just ok....Fried Zucchini and a few meatballs. Why I ordered Chicken Parm after tasting the meatball appetizer and not really digging the sauce. I should have gotten the Chicken Marsala.... My bad on that one. Needless to say I only ate half the Chicken Parm. My wife only ate a quarter of her Eggplant Parm. My friend did enjoy his Lasagna.... So there is a plus. Not that I will be in Bloomsberg Pa anytime soon but I know if I was, Rose Marie's won't be a place I would try again. Sorry... I rarely right bad reviews... but Rose Marie's is just not that good.
