Normally a great place when in the area, stopped yesterday and avoid their disappointment tacos. I got 2 beef and 2 shrimp. There were 3 tiny little shrimp per taco, deep fried to the point the were like little rocks, and a taco shell with a ton of cheese. The beef had completely unseasoned beef on them, no taco seasoning, no salt or anything, just drained browned beef, a sliver of lettuce, I think there may have been diced tomato, but once again so much cheese just to fill up a cold, un-steamed soft shell, little taco sauce. So much cheese I'm not going to the BR for a month, should have advertised as cheese tacos. My dad got wings, normally great once again, but we both talked about the wings and shrimp and their fryer oil hasn't been changed in a while, they both tasted burnt. read more

The service was just as good only problem it was 64 degrees in the area we were sitting, talked to a employee he tried to get it warmer but dropped to 63 and then another employee tried to get it warmer with no luck also. This place has a great atmosphere if you're a honky tonk kinda person. Wait staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. My wife ordered the Hen Mac n cheese and had bacon added. My buddy ordered the bourbon glazed grilled cheese and it was also amazing. I ordered the Kansas City bbq pulled pork wrap which was also amazing! We dined out on the patio hoping for a quieter experience but it was actually louder than inside between the outside speaker and the heavy traffic. We got a frozen strawberry daiquiri and a dr. Pepper, the dr. Pepper was good syrup to water mix. The strawberry daiquiri tastes like nothing just like a slurpee but with just water lol. We got the spinach dip. It had little to no spinach flavor there was also melted cheddar cheese on top, strange. I got a breaded chicken sandwich that was supppsed to be tossed in buffalo sauce and wasn't and it also tasted and looked like it come out of freezer and into the air fryer. The fries are good, they aren't salted it seems like. The club sandwich was good the ham was thick and juicy. Also the bartender was visibly upset when we sent the daiquiri back and our waiter made excuses she wanted like the daiquiri is gonna be watered down it's made with ice. Well when it left your hand and hit the table you figured I could taste it but I couldn't. I don't even know if she put liquor in it. If your from out of town keep driving. We will not suggest this to anyone we know is coming. If your gonna tell other consumers and everyone looking at us with judgmental looks then I gonna leave a review like this. WELL!!!! I have never had an experience such as my visit to this establishment on Friday, January 26,2023. There was only 6 customers in the place. Our waitress was less than enthusiastic and/or helpful. We felt rushed for no apparent reason except to return to the end of the bar and talk. I ordered a haddock sandwich with cheese. When it came out, it was a cheap replica of a breaded fish square fried so hard that there was MAYBE 1/8" of overcooked, fry fish. Being that I am not eating that disgusting thing, I attempted to capture the waitress's attention. Finally, she came over and I said I wasn't eating it and would like something else. She was less than happy about it as one could clearly tell by her facial expressions. I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was fried to perfection but lacked mayonnaise. I asked my friend if she had any mayo left and she said the waitress never brought her any which was requested. So, once again, I had to get her attention yet again. I finally got some mayonnaise. We were never asked about drink refills. All of a sudden this waitress decided to show her "professional" side. I imagine she was going for a nice tip. The bill was paid by my friend and I left the tip - $3! She was barely worth that! Tip: wear something warm. It's cold in there. Manager's response to my review on website was that we should have said something to someone. I'm not kissing their ass to get waited on. They should have known we were there. The atmosphere here is great, with friendly staff, good music, coloring books and crayons for the kids, even a good childrens' menu. We happened across it just because we were in the area at the amusement park and wanted dinner on the way home, and the reviews were promising. It did not disappoint. Five of us shared orders of 5 different small plates: buffalo wings, Texas fries, beef nachos, "chicken twists," and a kids meal of sliders and fries. The wings were the best my husband ever had (blazin' blue sauce), the chicken twists were little strips of white meat chicken, coated in crushed pretzels and fried, and the nachos were very impressive. The icing on the cake was that the bill for our family of five, including tax, was $55. (Plus there were two small boxes of leftovers to bring home!) For food like that, can't beat the price. We were only munchy this time, hence the appetizers. Next time we plan on hitting the real menu--awesome sounding sandwiches, entrees, even seafood. Can't wait! read more

No This place is honestly lucky I have to put 1 star... We waited 45 minutes for our food (even though the place wasn't even crowded whatsoever). When we FINALLY got our food, all that was said to us was a short sorry and the waitress was gone. Throughout those 45 minutes nothing was said to us about our food, no updates, nothing. OUR FOOD WAS ICE COLD. You'd think after waiting so long it would be boiling. After 15 minutes of waiting for the waitress to come back, we told her we would like hot food (in the nicest way possible). Instead of bringing out new, fresh food, she made us put our food on a plate so they could reheat it in the back. Absolutely unprofessional in every way. When we asked for new fries too (they were also ICE COLD), they gave us a to go box so we could just hear them up at home. Knowing we weren't going to eat their reheated food, they gave us a to go box for our entree, gave us our receipt and took 10% off. At first we were grateful until we realized it was $3 off our bill. Sad because the blasted reheated food actually tasted good. Not the waitresses fault at all, but you'd think a manager would come out or SOMETHING. My husband and I from Florida visiting family here always stop on Friday night for the most delish prime rib... there were four of us with the sisters each getting a pasta dish that would feed 3 people....did I mention the portions for ALL meals are huge.... My friends and I stopped here after the 4 Wheel Jamboree with a party of 15. They separated us because of COVID but we were super close together. Hogs Hollow couldn't handle us so here we came. With a party of 15, they were MORE than happy to serve all of us. The waitresses were so kind, our food came out SUPER quick and everything was so delicious! We used to come here often. Only occasionally now. The food just seems to have gone down hill. I started with the crab bisque. It was so thick the spoon would stand up in it. I sent it back. Then the first order of all you can eat crab legs came, they were cold but the next order was much better. The crab cake was just ok. Fries were the crunch coated kind. read more

Have been here several times. Staff is pretty rude and unprofessional. I have called to ask about the menu and the answering staff was rushed and impatient (sighing and not interested in finding out the answer to a pricing question that I had asked). Additionally, on slower nights, you'll find all of the staff and bartenders hanging out at the corner of the bar while you wait for them to notice you've needed a drink or your check for 5 minutes. Stopped in here with my wife for a few drinks on a Saturday night and had a very bad experience. First the pros I guess: They had a respectable selection of beers in bottles and a few on tap and were reasonably priced. Blue Moon and Sierra Nevada were 3.75/bottle. I'm definitely used to paying closer to 5/bottle at a bar and grill. The bar was also not very crowded for a Saturday night compared to the brewery I usually go to that was closed. As a pretty big introvert I really can appreciate that. So for the bad: On our second round of drinks I had some cash on the bar with enough for are next round semi-seperated from the rest I had on the bar. After we ordered I went back to chatting with my wife and a moment later she returned with our drinks. When I looked at my cash on the bar I noticed an extra $5 had been taken. As I mentioned earlier I'm a pretty big introvert so I'm not going to question a bartender and make a big deal over 5 bucks. I took it as their now undeserved tip finished my round and left. I've seen and heard of this kind of thing before especially at more crowded bars. It just astounds me that it happened in a bar with no one within 6 seats of us on either side, after one round, and neither my wife or I being/acting intoxicated. Just sad. read more
