I got another opinion from another local orthodontist who looked at my teeth and told me to "go back immediately" and it's "definitely fixable". After considering several other treatment plans for Invisalign, I decided to go with breach braces last summer of 24'. After over a year of treatment, I received updates via text/email and in person appointments to evaluate and ensure my treatment was going according to plan. This remained a constant for over a year. There were eventually adjustments that needed to be made once I was almost complete, but that was taken into consideration when I initially paid/committed to the treatment plan offered at beach braces. I honestly wish I had chosen another orthodontic provider before settling with Dr. Panucci. Her office hours are limited, and services always feel incredibly rushed. Most tasks, such as scanning your teeth and doing checkups, are done by her staff. The procedures she performs, like shaving down and polishing teeth, feel rushed and uncomfortable. Dr. Panucci does not explain in detail what she is doing and often makes clients feel as though they are at fault when they experience discomfort. If you're looking for an orthodontist who truly cares about your treatment and well-being, Beach Braces is not the place. I struggled with a posterior crossbite, which I hoped Dr. Panucci could fix. She gave me rubber bands for my first round of treatment. However, she later realized the bands were placed incorrectly and decided to change the treatment plan. However, I could only do it by scheduling another appointment. When I try to schedule another appointment, they are always fully booked out until 2-3 months later. The team also lacks internal communication. I had originally scheduled an appointment on a Friday to pick up my retainers, but they had not placed the order. Not only that, but they only followed up with me 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment, as I was already driving there. I can give more examples of bad experiences at this place, but I think you can already get the gist. read more

The current Beach Braces is not what I signed up for. The team is short staffed (down to just 1 dentist and 1 clinician) which is leading to long delays, difficulty in getting timely appointments, and lack of follow-up with patients and their parents. For example: My son has an appointment today, March 28, 2023 at Noon PST. At 12:45, I was informed that he had still not seen the doctor for a wire repair. At the time of this message, he still has not yet seen the clinician. 1. A 45 min + long delay is unacceptable, and 2. Nothing was communicated upon check-in that there is a 45 min delay. The office needs to address the lack of professionalism and poor communication with it's patients. Furthermore, minor repairs, such as a wire popped out, should be prioritized as those are, I assume, quick repairs that don't require a doctor but the clinician. I have reached out to the office to provide feedback. Very disappointed in the service. read more

Modern and well appointed office. Quality of work is quite decent overall. The only downside, and a big one, is that you will get very little time with the actual orthodontist. Most of the work, including face to face discussions are with technicians. While they do their work well, they are not educated or qualified to replace the actual orthodontist. Overall I do regret not going back to Breeze orthodontics in Torrance as they really do have exceptional interface with clients and the process is highly educational. Lots of 1:1 time with the actual orthodontist who tracks the progress closely, explains key details and catches details and potential erros that technicians cannot. With Dr Panucci, I am not convinced that she looks at any of it and have a feeling that she prefers to have her staff cover a lot of work for her, which is evident from the fact that we barely had any fave to face time with her throughout the process and when we did it was very brief and not all that engaging. I see her more of a business woman focused on throughout rather than personalized service. I do not disagree with that business posture but it has its drawbacks. I will deffinitely not discredit the work done by technicians and they are all very kind. That said, despite all the office decorations, gardgets and such, I cannot give it 5 stars because part of the service and thousands of dollars paid is supposed to have sufficient time with the actual orthodontist. Text and email reminders are good. Office is pleasant and modern, well decorated. Parking is usually available and access is easy. read more

Office hours are very limited, especially having to force children to miss school to fit into the orthodontist's schedule. Unless payments are made in advance, appointments are automatically cancelled and scheduling new appointments gets difficult with her limited office hours. Absolutely gorgeous high tech office. Amy at the front desk was so friendly and professional. I was escorted through the office by a young lady who took Xray and photos. She placed me in a private exam room to discuss potential treatment and get 3D scan of my teeth. Andrea entered the room to talk and scan my teeth. She asked if I'd ever had orthodontics before and I replied "no, my dentist referred me so I am here for a consult to see if I qualify. She abruptly left the room and said to someone in the hallway "she's icy". I was appalled. She came back with the scanner and proceeded to take 3D images of my teeth. Dr Panucci entered the room she is wonderful!!! I love that she's a perfectionist. We discussed my teeth and her plan for Invisalign. Please make sure before you come here, you ask how much its going to cost to be seen by the doctor!!!!! I called around to see if anyone could take me to re-bond a piece of my lower retainer, most offices said next week and then I saw Beach Braces had great reviews and also a friend said they were great, so I called them. The staff was nice enough to take me in on short notice but when I got there and asked how much it would cost to have my permanent retainer re-bonded on one tooth, they quoted me $598.00. I repeated the price as if I misunderstood her but no that's the price she charges cause the doctor charges $400.00 to be seen and $198.00 to re-bond. I understand people need to charge what is fair to them but a re-bonding of a thin strip of metal and only of one tooth should not cost this ridiculous amount of money, especially when it takes probably 45 mins from start to finish. Please make sure you ask questions and prices. I should have asked from the very beginning. read more

I have invisible aligners at thirty years old. It took me a long time to finally commit to getting braces because I've been burnt more than once in a dental chair (that's figuratively). That's not my experience at Beach Braces. Dr. Panucci's staff is awesome. I've never sat more than a couple minutes in the waiting room, which is just enough time to get myself a cup of complimentary hot tea. Everyone in there is so nice and welcoming. There are only two words to describe the treatment I received from Dr. Panucci (aka. Dr P.). AWE-SOME! I traveled a lot during my 18 month treatment program, Dr P's front office staff were always very friendly and even squeezed me in for appointments during my 3-4 day layovers in Manhattan Beach. Even though the atmosphere is geared towards children Dr. Panucci answered all of my technical questions for how the treatment would proceed, why it would take ~18 months to straighten MY teeth, and why we added things like turbos when we did. She even told me that around 60% of their clients are adults, go figure. With 5 months left in my treatment program I became engaged and a wedding was schedule only 4 months away... The doctor and her staff again squeezed me in not only to remove my braces in time for the wedding but also have my retainers made before I left for my honeymoon. Can't tell you how happy the wife was about that! Go see Dr P. and her staff, collect some sand dollars, enjoy the happy relaxed atmosphere and most importantly get your teeth straightened the right way. read more

I'm someone who had a very clear case of bimaxillary protrusion, and went to a consultation here in the past. If you want to properly treat bimaxillary protusion there needs to be extractions. However, on the contrary Dr. Panucci recommended no extractions and essentially spent the entire time trying to sell me on invisalign in the most obvious way possible, not because it would've been good for my unique case, but because it would've been good for her (a lot of orthodontists make more money off of invisalign patients). When I mentioned the protrusion issue she gave me some sort of blanket line about "arch expansion" as if she expected me to believe that happens naturally without very specific additional appliances. In reality doing it her way would've made my issue even worse, because to fix crowded teeth when there is already protrusion, they would have to flare out even more or there is no space to facilitate movement. Eventually she conceded that if I wasn't satisfied with the progress without the extractions we could add them in later at the cost of a longer treatment, but overall it just seemed inefficient. I ended up going with another orthodontist. read more

Dr Pannucci is by far the best Orthodontist in The United States. She is caring knowledgeable and hires Staff that shares her values of really helping people achieve their perfect smile. She is fixing my daughters severe overbite when others told us surgery was the only option. My daughter is still a patient and her teeth look amazing already. Her overbite was so severe that she could not even bite into an apple or pronounce words correctly. Now half way through treatment what a difference. A slight overbite but again she is still in treatment. My daughters case was severe but Dr Pannucci took it on with confidence and told me she can fix this without surgery. I have always been too embarrassed to wear braces and thought I would have crooked "vampire teeth" for the rest of my life. I trained myself to always smile with my lips together because I did not like to show my teeth. I went to numerous dentists who made me feel like there was no hope. Until one of them recommended me to Dr. Panucci. When I went to Beach Braces I was provided with a ~ 2 year plan of invisalign. I was very excited to get started. The invisalign is very comfortable once you get used to it and nearly invisible which I love. All of the staff at Beach Braces has been kind and supportive! The new office is beautiful and extremely comfortable. They even have massage chairs available while you wait (which is never long enough). lol I am about a 1 1/2 years in and I definitely see a huge difference in my teeth! I can not wait until I am finished and feel confident with my smile! I will include before & after photos in a few months. My daughter got braces, and I got Invisalign with Dr. Panucci. She is really the best. Our experience from start to finish was wonderful. My daughter was a difficult case because she had adult teeth that were missing. I am a difficult patient in general, always having concerns and asking lots of questions. Dr. Panucci was always patient and professional no matter how difficult I got. Dr. Pannuci is extremely knowledgeable and current with all the latest technology. Her staff is also fantastic, and each assistant who we worked with was professional and knowledgeable, and just plain nice. Also, the same assistants were there the whole time over 4 years that we went, so they got to know us, and we didn't have to worry about someone not knowing our case. Dr. Panucci's offices are a joy to visit. They are spotless, modern, comfortable, and just gorgeous. There are backlit murals of tropical scenes on the ceiling so you can relax while being worked on. There is also a big mural on the back wall, and all the colors and decor are so soothing, it felt like we were going on a mini retreat every time we went there. There are even massage chairs, a Keurig, a fridge with drinks, and iPads you can use in the lobby. There is a rewards system for kids if they make their appointments, brush their teeth, etc. so they can earn really great prizes.
