It's my first time in here. As server referenced, we ordered Mariscado and it was BOMB! I loved it! All the menu are about the shrimp, calamari, fish, and seafood. I would like to go back (ASAP!) to try everything else! LOL! Call me if you guys need a company :-p! I am happy to come back again! :) The service was fast, although the server couldn't speak English, but she understand English. The flavors was awesome, fishy but great! (Off course, it's a seafood restaurant, Duh). The indoor decor very ordinary which is a plus because I felt like really in Mexico. From outside looked small but when you enter, it will be enough for everybody. This place even have a musician to play the music as your requested, but he just say hi to us and left..lol... So, Yes, I would like to recommended this place!

    a blue and white building

They have bad service the place is really dirty when I got there they didn't even clean the table but they did have good music they take a really long time to give the food out the food is overpriced they I paid 100 dollars for 3 plates of food

This is usually our go to for Mariscos. The food is always good. The seafood is always fresh. The shrimp caldo they bring out with the chips and salsa is strong it has dried shrimp flavor. If you like a seafood restaurant that doesn't have a band playing this is the place. It's a small place but its family oriented. We will visit again.

First marisco restaurant that sold me a boat for $7! :)

Good mariscos and service was good but when I asked for more and chips & salsa which she brought but failed to let us know they charge if you want another round of it which was $7! They need to disclose that if you want more plus they don't give you enough, all I know it wasn't no $7 woth. Thats my only complaint other than that it was good.

    Ceviche

After I had half my dinner and a hair in my mouth, I noticed 3 other hairs in my plate as you can see in the picture. I cannot explain how disgusted I am.

I like the food here, really tasty. The tostadas de fish cevichi are soooo good Sinaloa or Nayarit style. You can't go wrong. This past visit I had the cevichi de Cameron en coco. This is really flavorful and they serve the coconut water with it. The staff is always helpful. To drink I usually get the Michilada. The down side is the music, I'm not a fan of the loud banda playing while your trying to eat. To avoid this go during lunch and sometimes this does not work. The parking-lot has only one lane entrance and exit so be careful.

7 Mares soup yummy food especially on chilly morning. Staff very friendly food service was fast. Great music to relax and dine

What an amazing evening, beautifully curated with so many thoughtful details. Only downside is that…read morefor some reason Apple maps was not accurate to finding the location and parking was a challenge as it is right on Roosevelt Row. However as soon as I found it and immediately after entering Pretty Penny I was transformed to the cutest little restaurant. I was greeted immediately and had made a reservation so even though my friend hadn't arrived yet, they sat me down. They instantly offered water and menus (food and cocktail). I noticed that the menu seemed very small and the dishes were shareable -- I don't eat meat so I was hoping my friend wouldn't mind sticking with fish and seafood (which she didn't). As soon as I got to my table there was the cutest sign that said welcome to Sarah Sherman and guest -- it was such an adorable and personal touch, I loved that! As soon as my friend got there we immediately both ordered the cold brew old fashioned -- we thought about the espresso martini but this just sounded too good to pass up -- and we were not disappointed! This drink was so tasty and strong. We immediately ordered the bread (sourdough boule) to soak up some of the alcohol as well as some oysters and the salsa. The oysters were so well spiced and were absolutely delicious. But the bread, the bread, the bread -- the server mentioned that it took almost 9 months to develop the bread recipe and it served. It was the best bread and butter that I think I have ever had! The salsa was good but probably was my least favorite of everything and it was still super yummy. We then moved on to the octopus tostadas. Sometimes octopus is not my fav -- it can be too chewy but this was so amazing and incredibly flavorful. It was starting to be my favorite dish until we ordered the Hamachi -- OMG!! Talk about a mouth orgasm-- both my friend and I were yummming it up -- but seriously this bite was so complex with different flavors coming up with every chew -- it has coriander candied peanuts, fermented pineapple, avocado, pickled fresno, toasted coconut and aji amarillo yogurt -- The server mentioned that this was the chef's least favorite dish which I totally do not understand because this was off the charts in my book. We also tried the earl gray whiskey sour, which was light and delicious, and ended with the shrimp toast and the espresso martini. By the way the toast on the shrimp toast was like a little fried dough triangle -- sooooo gooood! The martini was good but the cold brew old fashioned really stole the spotlight for me. Other details I loved that just elevated the experience: Purse hook (very important to me), the little trays for your utensils, metal coasters, incredibly attentive servers, fantastic music, great ambiance and the cutest was the penny they put on top of your check. So cute -- was not expecting such an enjoyable all around experience!! Will be back 1000%!!!

It was pretty good but certainly not worth the titular pretty penny price--and we didn't even get…read morethe recommended 8 dishes, which is, like, the entire menu. To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

Even without reservations we were seated immediately. Water and menus were on the table in the blink of an eye. Our server, Josephina, was quick to take both drink and appetizer orders. I ordered some bread, not immediately realizing the difference, and should have ordered the focaccia. The martini that my wife ordered was, in her words, perfect. The Caesar Salad was the best I've had in quite a while. Just incredibly fresh greens, great dressing, grated cheese, and tasty croutons. I could have made a meal just from that. My wife ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli and I had the Lasagna Bolognese. Neither is an unusually elegant dish but both were prepared perfectly. The house Chianti was so enjoyable that we ordered a bottle and enjoyed it throughout the meal. To finish off the experience we had an order of cannolis and they were delicious. Thanks to Josephina for such a great evening and we will be back to try the "Bottle & Bruschetta" they feature on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I felt like the texture of the gnocchi was amazing and I enjoyed the thickness of it. The pesto sauce was also great and my favorite parts had the bits of nuts in it. The shrimp arrabiata was good too with nonfishy seafood and not too spicy. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce but I wish we got a few more. There is a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-5pm but there isn't much advertisement about it online or in-store. The happy hour menu is pretty small but includes the Shrimp Arrabiata (1/2lb or full lb), Cheese Pizza, Margherita Pizza, $2 off cocktails, and a few more items I forgot to take a picture of!! Our server was a friendly man with dark hair and an accent. He was super nice but we noticed that it would take us a long time to get something we needed, like the check. In his defense, we were chit chatting for a while and probably didn't look like we needed help or service. No hate, he was very kind with good intentions. The restaurant itself was cute and a little bit smaller, making it harder to walkin if it was a busier night. Overall great food and nice staff. If you're looking for authentic Italian, come here!
