This isn't a snoody insider shop, where an angry neckbeard will laugh at you for not knowing your Image from your Darkhorse. These folks are happy to help anybody with their first venture into comics, or will kindly leave the veterans to browse. They will set up a pull-list for you, if you want to keep up to date on the latest issues, which is even easier and more convenient to do from home if you use Facebook or Instagram. Just follow their posts and comment on their new release postings to pre-order anything in advance. And my favorite Sunday activity is following their weekly "Claims," where they feature new-to-the-store key issues and bundles at great deals. It's also a great spot for Free Comic Book Day and Halloween. They have some back issues, including some nice expensive finds on the wall and behind the glass, but since it's not the biggest shop in the world, you could probably look elsewhere for that. The customer service and atmosphere is what I come for, though, so it's my first and primary destination for new books.

Among the game shops nearby, this seems to be the main one where people can sit down and play a good game of commander. The card shop isn't particularly large, but has a front area with games and figures, a few glass counters with singles in the middle, then about 6 open tables in the back area for group TCG games. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The single cards that were available were most of the popular commander stables people might be looking for, but from my understanding, they also have an online TCG Player inventory that you can browse through. Their commander open-play nights are also convenient - Mondays and Saturdays. This is a great alternative to the other major store about 30 mins away, Alternate Universes, which has their commander open play on Tuesdays and Fridays. Overall, great place to come and chill out for MTG commander games.

Entrance is a little tricky to get too so park on the side near the card store and walk around to the front of the building. Upon entering we were greeted with a HUGE selection of games, everything from NES to current Xbox, PS5 and Switch. Even had some cabinet games you could try out. Behind the counter they had some harder to find titles and some tables between rows was like a mini nerd yard sale with figures, books, crafts, etc. Husband picked up a gunpla model kit from 1980s, I got pokemon pinball for my game boy and some DS games I had been looking for. Price wise was about what I expected for what I got, seemed about middle of the road. On the left side of the building is a DVD section and fairly expansive comic book selection. Husband looked over what they had but nothing really stood out, we mostly came for the retro games. Guy behind the counter was super helpful and friendly, answering any questions we had about their stock and condition of the games. If we're in the area I plan on stopping back in and seeing what new stock they have on hand.

This is really a gathering place for people who are interested in board games, Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and the like. There is a small retail presence with collectables, cards and some cool vintage board games, however the largest part of the store is dedicated to game playing, with long banquet tables and chairs where people sit and play. We didn't stay long as there wasn't much for us, however it did seem to be clean and very focused on supporting this social activity. For those interested in Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and other board games, I think this place might be a slice of heaven.

I visited here in late summer 2021 and found positive changes, including more focus on comics. When I was traveling back through the area again, I didn't hesitate to stop in with a friend and see how it was going. That was a mistake. Uncanny had to move again to another location in the mall over by Nordstrom. Shop's exterior and interior looks nice, not sure they did the work or the previous tenant did. Space is divided into three rooms. The main area has graphic novels, another houses new pull comics, and a final room is full of longboxes. Except...there's a barricade to the longbox room. My friend was confused and asked about it as we primarily came here for the longboxes. Even after being located here for a month, they don't have them ready. This is unacceptable and I felt bad for the employee, who probably had to tell this to more than one customer. For being in a prestigious location, the King of Prussia Mall, this shop lacks a lot of what it should and most of that is direction. I recommend Showcase Comics and Games in Bryn Mawr and Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove for shops that are well stocked, stable, and reliable.

The King of Prussia Mall is a massive shopping center, but lacked many of the nerdier stores such as Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Spencers establishments where I can buy cool shirts, figures, and other geeky merch. Uncanny! fills that niche beautifully while also delivering on the experiences I expect from my local comic shop. Uncanny! isn't the largest store, but it makes up for it with excellent space usage. Products are organized neatly into sections from clothes to comics to games. The comic sections are further divided into recent comics, graphic novels, kid comics, and back issues (old/out of print comics). The store is well kept and clean, and the colorful decor makes it feel alive, even when there is no one else shopping. If you are a die-hard collector, you might be disappointed due to the limited availability of items. As mentioned, space is limited, so you might not find some of your old collector issues or rare figurines. But you will find most everything new. If you are looking for something, call ahead. The people here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are fair, except for the odd retail-exclusive comics that are a bit higher priced than what I've seen in other comic stores. They also offer a loyalty program. Spend X-money, get Y-gift cards. It's pretty simple, free to sign up, and has no expiration. So it's worth your time if you come to the mall every month or so. If you're looking for a gift for that nerdy someone, or just want to pick up the latest DC or Marvel comic, Uncanny! is a fun little stop in your mall shopping experience.

Having collected vinyl for many, many years it is sometimes difficult to find viny that I do not have in my collection. Not so at Forever Changes as they have a fairly priced, well curated selection from multiple genres, classic rock, jazz, blues, funk, alternative, punk and more. And on every visit, I always walk out with a lot of new vinyl. And the owner, Shawn, is super cool, friendly, and really knowledgeable about all genres. He is always willing to make recommendations or just have a discussion on music. Trust me, if you collect vinyl you must stop in here!

It's super warm and inviting, like a place you can just hangout for hours. They have great selection of records from brand new stuff, back to the 60's. They even have some great treasures in the $1 bins! A great selection of local artists have their work showcased as well, which I thought was super cool. Shawn and Anna are amazing as well. Really knowledgeable and super friendly. I cannot wait to go back and score more music!

Just the best shop in the Pottstown area for back issue comics and record (vinyl) collectors. I…read morecollect a little of both and have purchased both from Jeff, who is just a great guy to deal with. Jeff will also buy and trade comics and records with you and always gives a fair price. It's a little bit of a drive to have to go to Knauertown (near St. Peter's Village), but definitely worth the trip.

I have a…read morehuge interest in presidential biographies, and this store delivered when it came to that genre. I walked out with a couple great books to add to my collection, and will be back soon to pick up some more! My favorite thing about this store is that they offer hard to find books for a great price. They have an extensive Pennsylvania section which includes biographies about many of of the small colleges dotting the southeast part of the state, and a large amount of genealogical books as well. I was strapped for time and didn't get a chance to explore the entire store, but the sections I perused left me with a great feeling about the place. The lady who helped me check out was extremely friendly as well. Have already recommended this store to a couple friends and family, and I will personally be making the trip back out as soon as next week. Highly recommend!

The owners of THIS store have been in the book business for a while. Both put in years at a large chain bookstore. They've used that experience to create a store people WANT to shop. They are extremely knowledgeable on many topics, and very friendly. The store, like many used bookstores, is a work in progress. The difference is the people, and the staff are amazing!
