My husband and I stopped in for dinner tonight. It has been one of our " go to" places. We sat at the bar, were greeted, never asked what we wanted. We had to ask for the drink menu, the menu, napkins, and silverware. We had to ask for the corn chips and salsa when in the past you were served them shortly after your arrival. The food was good, no issues. The service was horrible. All new staff. My husband ordered a beer and the keg ran out, rather than change the keg, he was handed a bottle of beer. I ordered a margarita and ask for fresh lime juice not the sweetened bottle juice. The bartender told me she couldn't accommodate me as she would have to walk to the kitchen to get limes. The ladies room needs an update. read more

I had a delicious meal here of three Enchiladas Chipotle, two filled with beef (ground & shredded) and one with chicken, complete with a side of beans and rice. Take time to study the menu options, some come with both beans and rice, and some with only one or the other (seems to vary from menu to menu). So, even though our meals cost the same, my husband, who also got three enchiladas, had only rice and an empty spot where his beans would be. The only downside to the meal was being a little nervous about how careful they might or might not be regarding gluten free contamination. We finally went here last week on a Tuesday night so the mariachi band was there. That was really cool. I ordered the pork fajitas and my wife got the seafood chimichungas. Both meals were very good and the price was very reasonable. I have had the fajitas at On the Border, Margaritas, La Carettas, and Agave. These fajitas were delicious and they gave me a ton of food. They only give 3 wraps which I stuffed full and still had leftovers. I never had leftover anywhere else. I would certainly choose this place over the other places I have been to. I also had the big 28oz house margarita which for pretty good. Service was on the slow side, but honestly I don't think any Mexican place is fast. My partner and I used to regularly order Plaza (at least once a week) because they were reliable in ensuring our order was gluten free on account of my partner's Celiac's. After the pandemic began we continued to order so that we could support a Local business, and noticed it became harder and harder to get through on their phone lines. Even though they were 45+ minutes away from our house we appreciated their attention to detail and good food. There were occasional mix ups in what we ordered (a mixed chicken and beef order instead of all chicken, etc). Eventually however we ordered our usual, but once we got home we quickly realized we had wheat tortillas in our orders but when we called the manager answered and began arguing with us and dismissing our concerns. we drove back to receive a credit, and I watched from the car as the manager flipped off my partner once his back was turned to walk out. We brushed it off and moved on, but this evening decided to give it a try once more because we missed the food. When I called in to place the order the person I spoke with repeatedly spoke over me, repeated back incorrect information about the order I was submitting and at one point just simply put the phone down to speak with coworkers for five straight minutes and no warning. When he got back on the line he informed me several times that he couldn't hear me, and that it must be an issue with my phone, but that my order would be much longer than was standard (30-35 minutes). The managers who came out to speak to my partner (in a pair despite stating they were very busy) dismissed his concerns, before ultimately admitting their phones needed replacing and continuously have issues. They stated their employee shouldn't have stopped talking in the middle of the call and then aggressively kept stating they were very busy as a justification for his behavior. 0/5 for service and etiquette, but 5/5 for the likelihood of spit in our food given the previous witnessing of one of these managers flipping off my partner previously. read more

So this place wen it first opened up was awesome! And for years it's always been good food good prices! Now forget it! Slow service really takes away how good the food is. Not to mention all the prices skyrocketed recently. If you plan on visiting here you have to have patience especially if your in the bar area. Went here with a group of friend for dinner (4 of us) and the waitress was rude and not very attentive. After we were finished eating and drinking, the waitress didn't return for 20 minutes.... when she did return we got separate bills and there was gratuity included. I had really high hopes for their vegan/vegetarian menu and I think it's super cool that they have it but unfortunately my vegan burrito was pretty disgusting. It had no vegan cheese and there was a shrimp in it. I would be cautious ordering here if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions for this reason. The soy meat they used tasted like absolutely nothing but I'm sure with beyond meat it would be amazing. I would say you are better off going to chipotle for a vegan burrito. read more

One of the best mexican restaurants I've been to in a long time. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone he loves mexican food. There are plenty of seating, i hardly ever have to wait. They have trivia night which gets the crowd going. They make their own gucamola dip in front of you. Meh and I consider myself easily impressed. I've been here over a couple times, thinking it would get better by trying different things. I've had the fajitas, chimis, chicken echillas. and quesdilla, all were meh. You have to choose between rice OR beans, which is weird to me. The bean are straight up gross. More like a puree and white color, def skip them. Salsa and chips is def the best and Sangria was great! Maybe just go for drinks and chips and salsa? The waiter was extremely inattentive, was nowhere to be found when we needed extra napkins, and he gave us an attitude when we asked for grilled chicken instead of shredded. The hard taco was soggy and therefore soft and fell apart. The spoons we were given were dirty and had old straw wrappers attached to them. To top it off, the grilled chicken was an upcharge of $6 when I was told it was "a little bit extra"! Any other place I've gone it's only $1, $2 at the most. Been a while since I've been here. Brought my sister out to celebrate her new job, she loves Mexican. We were seated at a booth, we had our 2 y/o with us. They gave us a high chair, but where they seated us was so tight. If she were to sit in the high chair there wouldn't be any room for anyone to walk btw our booth and the long table in the middle of the room. Waitress was nice and friendly. Bc it was so tight, when we ordered the guacamole, we weren't able to enjoy watching the man make it fresh for us, which I find fun to watch. I ordered the carne asada steak thinking I'd get a nice piece of steak instead I got two thin slices of steak, I asked for med rare, but that made no sense bc the slices were so thin, there's no way they could have made it med rare without fully cooking it. It came with rice, beans, and pico de gallo. I didn't think it was worth it. My husband got steak fajitas. He said the steak was too dried out. Sister got a taco and some enchiladas. She seemed to enjoy that. My brother got this huge bowl with steak, chicken, and shrimp smothered in cheese sauce. He enjoyed that. A tall Sam Adams and a mixed drink, out total was over $150. In my opinion, it wasn't spectacular and I'm sure I could've gotten enchiladas or fajitas at a chilis and the total would be less than $150, not including tip. Good first visit. Got the Quesadilla Del Mar which was just shrimp but also had grilled onions, refried beans, and cheese inside. I thought the flavor was good. Enjoyed the mild salsa that came with the chips. We got the table side guacamole which is pricey but we enjoyed it. Wait staff was efficient and attentive. The only drawback was that we had to be re-seated twice, once because we had to tell them that the AC vent was dripping all over the table. I visited Aztecs Restaurant in Methuen, MA a couple of days ago and ordered the ground beef tacos. They were the most boring tasteless tacos I've ever had. The hamburger meat tasted like it was boiled there was no seasoning the only thing on the tacos with a little Lettuce scattering of cheese. We also ordered the Queso dip with chorizo. The dip was tasty but the plate was so hot most of the cheese melted away into a burnt mess. I did mention this to the waitstaff and they were apologetic. But did not indicate that they thought that the food was improperly prepared. My husband ordered a taco salad which had the same tasteless hamburger on it. Last time I came here it was about a year ago, everything tasted great, the service was amazing an I definitely knew I would come back at some point. Today was that point an for sure not going back, we didn't even end up staying. We got seated at a sticky table, all the other tables around us were dirty, & one being used & it didn't seem to be very busy. All I was able to smell was Fabuloso and that's not what you want to smell in a restaurant. The server came over an asked if we wanted some table side guacamole & we decided not to today. So when she came over an just dropped off our drinks & chips without salsa (like done our past trip) we were a little confused. She walked away an never came back with anything else. This is when I decided to look on yelp at recent reviews & we noticed the place was sold an a lot of things have changed. The chips were dry, with no taste, and absolutely no salt on them.. so if you don't want to pay $10.00 for the table side guacamole then your just going to end up getting dry, tasteless chip, what's the point of that I don't know, but being a pregnant woman myself I wasn't happy An we just decided to leave. I went here when it first opened with my ex boyfriend, and our families for our college graudation dinners. I think it is very important to mention that he is from Mexico, and I am from Puerto Rico... I think we have a pretty good idea of what authentic Spanish and Mexican dishes taste like. Anyway, the food here was not prepared fresh. We expected that... It's a Mexican chain. However, we did not expect to be sick after our meals. Our ENTIRE party had stomachaches for two days after we visited this location. Not one person, but all TEN of us. There was something wrong with our food. I have been back recently because my friend asked me to go, and I said hell, why not? I'll give it another try. My experience was not as bad this time. The service was great, THEY HAVE CHEESECAKE!, and their bar is very large with a wonderful variety of drinks. The food is still questionable though.. I would recommend Lupitas in Haverhill, or Mi Mexico Lindo in Methuen if your looking for more authentic Mexican food in the area. This is a cool place to go with a few friends for some weekend drinks and some good chips with guac (THE GUAC IS TO DIE FOR!) It was an okay experience, but please don't waste your money. Everytime I go there I have to monitor the amount of alcohol that goes into my drink. At 15 dollars for a double patron magarita there should be 2 shots of patron in it. There never is. The chips and salsa were below average, and the salsa was probably from a can. We would rate the house margarita a 5 out of 10 since it was very sugary. The staff were attentive but asked how we were doing a few more times than would be expected. The better of the attributes of this restaurant was the atmosphere, but the cleanliness was iffy. Worst dinner ever. My husband took me out for my birthday dinner and I requested Mexican food...he heard good things and the reviews seemed good so it seemed like a decent choice. First, the chips and salsa were fine. The cheese dip was fine. We ordered the omg nachos which tasted stale. Not only did I not like them, but there was a wad of tin foil in it. That was it for that appetizer. My husband ordered the pescado azteca and liked it. I got the Mexican burrito and it was drenched in the cheese dip cheese, the meat was way over cooked and dry, the onions weren't even diced or sliced they were HUGE. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area! I'm not a huge fan of their beef dishes (the beef tacos weren't that great), but their chicken and other meats were delicious. The portions are really good for the price- I often have almost two meals out of my order with plenty of leftovers the next day. Their guacamole is amazing! Definitely recommend. read more
