I went to Plaza Azteca for dinner with a friend this past Friday around 7. The place was pretty packed, but we found parking just fine and snagged two seats at the bar without having to wait. Our bartender's name was Karen and she did an awesome job of checking on us regularly. We were quickly given menus, chips and salsa, and ordered our drinks. Not a huge fan of the salsa, it's watery and flavorless, but the chips are yummy. I got the pomegranate margarita, and my friend had the mango tropical margarita. They are large but I didn't feel mine was too strong, and we both really liked the taste of them. We also got the guacamole, which they make in front of you so you can tailor it to your taste. It was delicious and they give you enough to bring home, so it's worth the price. For my meal I ordered the birria tacos. I felt they were a bit dry and I noticed in 2/3 of my tacos all the meat was to one side, so a few bites were just tortilla I thought the consommé was good and I ordered a side of rice and refried beans, which I enjoyed. My friend got the steak burrito fajitas and she loved her food. I would go back. I really like the service and the drinks, and I think it's a fun place to grab a bite on the weekend. The food is worth a try but I wouldn't recommend the birria tacos.

Parking Parking lot available Service Seated right away and server was nice Drinks Tres hermanos- strong and very good and tasty Food Chicken wing appetizer was ordered and served on tinfoil, not a fan, so unfortunately my meal ended here. If you don't mind food on tinfoil, please visit.

I don't know why there's so many negative reviews because when I tried this place it was good. They have ample parking and the restaurant is huge. Lot's of sitting and a nice bar area as well. They also have amazing table side guacamole and ceviche. Both the guacamole & ceviche and hits! They are honestly a must have when coming to this restaurant but trust me you will be full if you don't have a lot of people with you lol. Don't order those two items if you're going to order a meal. They are huge and will get you full. For me meal, I ordered the ribeye tacos and they were perfect! The steak was very flavorful and the meal was great! I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

First time here. Friend said the food was great. I ordered a tall draft Dos Equis the glass was cold the beer was warm. We ordered the Queso Fundido choriqueso dip, very oily, and the meat tasted like Hamburg not sausage. I ordered the Birria Tacos.l, these were the worst I have ever eaten. The looked good, the meat was very dry and over cooked, the extra beef broth was like dirty water. The rice and beans had no flavor. The service was ok, the server was slow and not friendly. The ambiance was typical to a Mexican restaurant. In all only one out of the five liked their food. Very disappointed!

We got hair in our table side guacamole. It's unfortunate but they didn't do anything about it.

We started out with wings that were good although slightly underseasoned. Their maple ranch dressing balanced the taste well. For my entree, I went with a new item on their menu- BBQ Benny. I asked for my BBQ bernaise sauce on the side. I was surprised to get 4 poached eggs so that was a bonus and they were perfectly cooked. Home fries were unevenly cooked probably because they were unevenly cut but the flavor was on point. Place is cheerfully decorated for the holidays. I am unsure of how it would be on a busy night/day as the place is not huge and tables are placed close together.

So the story begins on a snowy Sunday morning. Parking was plentiful and entering the restaurant it is nicely decorated with a Pub vibe. The menu had recently changed and the server mentioned the changes, A+ for doing this! I started off with the smoked wings. Nice smoky flavor but could use some seasoning. The maple ranch, came in the side, was deeeeelicous and saved the day. For an entree I selected the hash and eggs. Disappointing! The brisket used for the hash was stringy, unseasoned/under seasoned and had fat scattered throughout. The poached egg on top was done perfectly and infused some much needed flavor into the hash. The home fries were the only well seasoned component to the dish. Despite the uneven sizes, the potatoes were crispy outside with a tender inside and the right amount of seasoning. Toast was unbuttered with cold hard little packets to do it yourself. I appreciate the healthiness of this, but at least give room temperature butter so it can actually be spread. Overall a disappointing experience and certainly not the highest quality BBQ proteins which I expected to shine. Service was great but otherwise I don't think I'll be back.

I've been doing Border for DECADES. Literally. When my 20 year old was born on our way home from the hospital... yup.. we stopped at Border with the 3 day old.... My wife and I use to LOVE THIS PLACE. I remember when they had the kids menu for $2.98. A line out the door every night. We had four kids and being able to go out to dinner with the kids was awesome. Four kids could eat for less than $15. Ok. Back on point here... I think BORDER IS BACK! Everything we had tonight was delicious. The once small menu now has a TON of great new items. Also, they're do togo now! If ya haven't been in a while I understand. Maybe give Border a chance again. It's worth it now. It's not the ridiculously great deal it once was but it's still affordable. You get great table service, friendly staff and a good meal for about the same price as going to Chipotle. Stop ordering in and dine out. Hope you're experience was a good as ours. Keep it up Border!!

Lately, I've been watching the nashville hot mozarella sticks on social media and was craving this place again. I was shopping in the area and insisted our family go to Chilis so I could try it. My expectations were exceeded, led by the amazing over the top service by our server, Lindsey! She was super friendly, communicative of our order, gave excellent recommendations to convert our single entree into a cost savings meal that included chips and dip, and she checked in on us many many times - All with a smile! She is not just there to collect a paycheck, she is there to ensure customers have a great experience at Chilis. Hold on to her! The restaurant was clean and spacious. The menu was easy to scan through to see what we wanted. Triple Dipper $17.29: This had 2 nashville hot mazarella sticks (VERY good and everything i dreamed of), southwestern egg rolls (4 halves) - not what i remembered from many years ago and smaller, and 3 chicken tenders with choice of sauce. This was my meal and I was more than full and satisfied. Next time, I'll just stick to an entree order of the nashville hot cheese sticks. I didn't have anything else, other than a bite here and there...not enough to give a good honest review of the other foods. However, the presentation and portions of the other foods looked great. Everything came out hot and fresh looking. The fries were cooked nice and crisp. The white mac and cheese was a big hit with our daughter. There was an abundance of ranch dip for all of our dishes. Well done, Chilis in Salem! Kudos to Lindsey! Hope to see you guys again when we venture north to NH for shopping (from MA).
