Really good chicken soft taco lots of meat. The ground beef taco had lots of meat but didn't have as much flavor as I hoped. We had the molcajete which was really good. The Birria tacos were really good. The chicken chimichanga was pretty good but for $14 it was a little bit on the small side. Shrimp Tostada was really good and fresh like ceviche

Plaza Azteca is a local Mexican restaurant chain. This particular restaurant is in Ross Park Mall. My husband and I ate one dinner here. A seating hostess immediately greeted us and seated us at table in a nicely designed room. The menu listed foods such as salads, tacos, empanadas, quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, fajitas, specials, desserts, etc. Drinks included horchata, margaritas, cocktails, wines, martinis, daiquiris, etc. Our waiter was very friendly. However, he brought out our main courses many minutes before bringing our guacamole appetizer and our drinks. Here are my ratings for our foods and drinks: Tableside guacamole - 4 stars - This guacamole was very fresh and tasted good but contained a bit too much jalapeno. Chicken fajita - 3 stars - My husband described this main course as "OK." Quesadillas Rellenas - 4 stars - My quesadilla contained much chicken. I would have preferred more cheese, but liked the flavors. PA Finest Margarita - 4 stars - I thought that this margarita tasted OK, while my husband liked it. It contained tequila, citrus juice, mango, and peach

There's a reason it's empty on a Saturday afternoon during their weekend happy hour 12 days before Christmas. Service was slow, and wrong drinks delivered after 15 min of waiting (again, food was blander than Taco Bell. Not appealing on the plate whatsoever. It's rare for me to give one star, but in this case it's warranted. At 7.25 for a frozen marg, we were ready to order, eat, laugh, drink, enjoy.... We literally paid the $50 bill and went to Cheesecake Factory.

Chips, salsa, & crema (?) with a raspberry mojito

This location at Ross Park Mall has had a lot of restaurant turnover. I chose this restaurant for convenience v. intentional. Started with a raspberry mojito. It was cold and refreshing. Bartender had a heavy pour. Chips with salsa and crema (?) were left at the table. The staff were fluent in Spanish. My waitress was unable to answer questions (in English) about the menu. The Plaza del Mar was served on a pretty plate. The portions of rice and salsa were small. The white fish and shrimp had "lobster bisque" over it. The "lobster bisque" wasn't on the menu to order. Not a lobster in sight. Placed a to go order for churros and Seafood Enchiladas. Both were in tin to-go containers aka not microwave-able. The churros were good. I would return for a to go order. The Seafood Enchiladas were served with rice. Both entrees were very salty.

The pollo asada was deliciously cheesy and the churros were fantastic. I will be coming back for sure.

It delivers on what people expected from Subway back in the day and current day Chipotle. You can order tons of vegetables that are perfectly prepared and make the bowl of your choice. I love getting the spinach base with pickled onion, corn, crispy onions, hard boiled eggs, chicken, sweet potato. It is just that... and so yummy! The price is reasonable too! I ordered takeout here and the food was immediately ready at the time promised. The stag kindly greeted me and had me on my way. The store fits the mark too. Current decor, well laid out, and just downright comforting. I'll be going to Roots for many more lunches.

It was $16 for the bowl but I ate half today and will eat half tomorrow. I think k it's a big portion and a good deal. I'd like to come back and try another option. Check them out.

Most bowls are rice, greens, and/or beans based with various vegetables for toppings. Heartier than a salad but healthier than Chipotle. I've gotten lunch there a few times and have always been satisfied. My favorite bowl is El Jefe, which comes with rice, kale, black beans, corn, red onion, avocado, and a protein topping (I like the miso tofu but you can also get chicken). The bowl also comes with cilantro/lime sauce, which I do not get because it's very salty. That's my one complaint about Roots - despite their healthy ingredients, their bowls can get quite saucy and salty if you go with the default options. This particular location is well-staffed, so service is usually quick, but it can get a rush of students around 12pm.

The bowl was good but I was a little disappointed in the portion. Roots is a little bit more expensive than other similar options but I usually don't mind as they often give me a very full bowl, but that wasn't the case with the Gary bowl. It was less full than the bowls I usually get along with being very heavy on the rice and not too much chicken or even the kale. Aside from that it was still yummy but I think I'll be going back to my regular order next time.

I ate the Portabella Mushroom Ravioli (4.5 stars). Several large raviolis contained mushrooms and were covered in tomatoes, basil, and a rich parmesan sauce. My husband ate the Chicken Parmesan (4.5 stars). Two large pieces of chicken were covered in a crispy breading, marinara, and three cheeses. On the side was an arugula salad. It was a generous serving size, so he had leftovers to eat at home later. At the end of the meal, our waitress gave us two free mint chocolates. My husband commented that this restaurant is decent for being in a department store. The total price for our two entrees and one soda was $48 plus tax and tip.

The vegetarian sampler platter is often my go-to, as an appetizer for sharing with someone or as an entrée for myself. I very much enjoy the pomegranate green iced tea here and our server was happy to keep providing refills while my friend and I caught up over 2+ hours after not seeing each other for over a year, and never complained about needing to turn over the table. Granted, we were early in the day, starting at 11:30 and continuing through lunch hour, and there were always a couple of tables open, but it did get relatively busy during the lunch hour. This is located in a strip mall and has maybe a little less ambience than my usual location closest to home in Mount Lebanon; the thing I appreciate about that location is that it has outdoor tables set up during beautiful weather like today. Here, they don't seem to have that option on the strip mall outdoors so you are going to be eating inside or taking out. In any case, the food remains consistent and fabulous and the service is always great at every location I've tried. We didn't get dessert today as we were both very full and I was headed next to celebrate Easter with my family, but you can't miss with the absolutely decadent desserts here if you choose to get one.
