This was my first time at Patron's and it was a really pleasant experience! The host greeted us with a smile and kindly walked us back to a table. The waitress did a good job taking care of us as well! I got the carne asada with a side of shrimp and a side of guacamole, and it was all sooo delicious! The guac had a little kick to it, which I really enjoyed! The shrimp was quite salty, but it wasn't unbearable. Worst experience of our dining out. Was always a huge fan of Patrons our go to Mexican place. We were seated immediately without menus. Had to ask someone for menu. We went for Taco Night and always ordering more than tacos - worst service - the server was mean and not attentive - meat in taco over cooked. Wanted to order to go meals for next day - never brought to us - waited 15 minutes for bill. A weird experience eating dinner there last week. They brought me someone else's order I'm guessing? It wasn't what I ordered. But my sister was with me and she had to eat quickly so I actually just took it! Then a rainstorm was looming and we were outside and so the waiters completely ignored the situation and didn't try to get us inside or check on us or anything. So I wanted to get the rest of my meal wrapped up and ran inside in the rain with my plate of food, and the manager is standing there and completely ignores the whole situation. I just can't recommend this restaurant. The interior is extremely outdated and rundown. Which put a bad impression in my mind before we got our food. The staff is friendly and attentive. Very solid local Mexican place. There's indoor and outdoor seating that are both good atmosphere and good service. The meals are very good and the portions are not to take lightly. You will leave full everytime after a delicious meal. My only complaint is that you have to scan the QR code for the menu and there's not very good service there so that can get tedious. Still love this place! Family of four. My son wanted tacos for his birthday so we ordered 12 off the a la carte menu, a chilli relleno, kids meal, and everything was awesome. Will say, if you do go the a la carte menu, which is dirt cheap, just please hook up your server with an outstanding tip. The bill will be significantly less, but it's the same amount of work as the regular menu and you are taking up a table that would have otherwise generated a much higher tab; they have families to feed too. read more

Came here for lunch on a weekday. Ordered their veggie quesadilla for lunch. No sides came with it. Total was a little under $12. What's hot - Menu variety. There's guacamole, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc... Veggie options and meat options. - Layout. There are booths for smaller parties and tables where you can spread out. One thing I didn't like about our booth was the dim lighting, though. - Quality. It's not bad, but it's not great. I've had better. Keep in mind I'm a Cali girl whose had good quality authentic Mexican food. On the upside, my veggie quesadilla had good chunks of veggies in it, including broccoli. One of my concerns was that they would give me little slivers of veggies. And there was a decent amount of cheese. However, the quesadillas weren't completely full of cheese because of the amount of fillings. What's not - Service. It's decent, but that's it. When we asked for recommendations, our waiter wasn't really able to give any. We specifically asked for spicy options, as well. That should narrow down the options, but it didn't for our waiter. Makes me wonder how familiar they are with their own menu. Additionally, once you finish eating and pay, they leave you alone and don't check in on you. I prefer and like it when restaurant staff check in on you after you pay. For me, that's the mark of good quality service. After all, it's natural to socialize in restaurants. There's always a good possibility we may need something after or order more. - Price. My quesadilla alone was a little under $12 and it didn't come with any sides. For the quality of my food, with the portions and the price, it doesn't seem worth it. Final Answer Willing to come back, but not a first choice. This Mexican restaurant appears to have quite the mixed reviews, but based on my visit in December 2021, I am giving a rating of 5 stars, and I plan to return in the future. When my husband and I entered the restaurant, the seating hostess kindly greeted us and immediately walked us to a booth. Soon, our waiter arrived, and he took our order for drinks. He promptly brought out our drinks and took our orders for our appetizers and entrees. Throughout the meal, the waiter spoke nicely to us, calling my husband "friend" and me "lady," and he brought out drink refills without our having to ask. At the end of our meal, the waiter brought out an accurate bill and sincerely thanked us for coming. Here are my reviews for the foods: Chips and salsa - 5 stars - The chips and salsa were automatically brought out for free. They were fresh, and the salsa had a medium spiciness. Tableside guacamole - 5 stars - This guacamole was prepared freshly at the tableside. (I apologize to the employee for my looking at my phone a lot rather than looking at him.) The ingredients included avocados, cilantro, onions, lime juice, and seasonings. I appreciate that the employee remembered to leave out the tomatoes that my husband dislikes. My husband commented that the guacamole smelled the best ever, and the guacamole tasted excellent too. Chicken fajitas - 4.5 stars - My husband is difficult to impress, but he enjoyed this entree. The chicken strips were cooked thoroughly and were still juicy. Also included were onions, bell peppers, and a side plate of rice, refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. It was a surprise party that was moved from Emiliano's to Patrons because they couldn't seat 20. We had one dedicated waiter who kept the orders & bills straight. My mojito was made with selzer?? Weird but refreshing on a 90+ degree day. My shrimp fajitas had lots of shrimp but would have preferred the vegetables to be more al dente. I expected the $17.95 Barreto to be at least warm and tasty. This steak Barret was 75 % Grisel and Fat. The beans were cold and the rice was hard tasteless. I showed the Grisel meat to my server who took my meal to the manager. Watching the discussion the manager just walked away. The server then gave me my bill and walked away. It was a nice, sunny day so felt like Mexican and stopped at Patron. They had a big lunch menu and went with the fajita taco salad w/ chicken. It was delicious, as it had tender, seasoned bits of chicken and good sauteed vegetables all in a giant, flaky taco shell. The salad also came with gauc and sour cream. Also, the chips and salsa was good, as the chips were a hard crunch and the salsa tasting fresh. Finally, the service was great as the waiter was friendly, prompt, and efficient. Went with friends for dollar tacos and margaritas. The restaurant was very noisy and very busy, obviously since the food was cheap that night! The dollar beef taco I had was really good, I was pretty impressed! The mango margarita was pretty good too. I also ordered the Chorizopollo (flattened chicken topped with chorizo) which was nicely cooked, and lots of good flavor. (Enough leftovers to have for another meal). The dip trio is a great starter so you can try the queso, guac, and pico in addition to the free salsa. One of our personal favorites is chori pollo (chicken with chorizo). Delish! We hit up Patron around 6pm on a Friday evening- it was too hot outside so we sat inside.. but they have a really nice outside patio. We were able to get seated right away. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Patron has a lot of different options on their menu- it is very kid friendly. I started with a strawberry margarita- it was okay.. just tasted like a mix. For my entree, I got a chicken quesadilla with a side of rice. It was whole pieces of chicken- i wish I would have ordered pull chicken because the whole chicken wasn't very good. My family did enjoy their meals. I would definitely go back, but try something else next time. read more

We had just moved here and we were looking for restaurants and we passed this restaurant several times and then we finally pulled in one day and I'm so glad that we did because the food is excellent. In the summertime they have outdoor seating if you want to go out on the deck which is really nice tree covered. There's plenty of room on the inside it's clean. The chips and salsa are fantastic and I get the enchilada Suiza and I really am ready to lick my plate by the time I'm done every single time. Ever since I was young I've been coming here with my family. Out of anything around, this is the closest thing to authentic Mexican food. We came so often when I was a kid, my dad was friends with all the employees. The dips, beans, rice, etc. etc. is by far the best of any restaurant. If I were on death row, and had to pick one last meal, I would be the taquitos and rice here. This place has inspired a lot of our own home cooking, from trying to replicate the taquitos or the cheese dip. The one and only "complaint" would be the menu. We need an update!
