As others have commented, vastly understaffed and apathetic team running this location. Our poor waitress, Eve, deserves a tremendous praise because she also had to fill in for the missing host/hostess (we stood at the entrance for five minutes without any acknowledgement until Eve took pity on us and found us a table). She also bussed dirty tables and swept the floor, and offered excellent service to us. She was literally covered in sweat from running all over. The tacos were decent and the street corn app was good. We enjoyed our margarita flights and the different fruit flavors. I think whomever is doing hiring is not selecting people that actually want to serve people. We know it's hard to find employees these days and hope the team can turn this around. In the meantime, seriously, give Eve a huge bonus. She's earned it. read more

Came in on a Saturday night and it was obvious within minutes that this is a management problem, plain and simple. One server for the entire restaurant on a Saturday night -- that's not an off night, that's a decision someone made to understaff and let the staff eat the consequences. The bartender was completely checked out and offered zero help despite the restaurant being slammed. On top of that, five tables that were seated after us got served before we did. Not the server's fault at all -- with only one person covering the whole floor, there's no way to keep track of who's next. It's just another symptom of the same root problem: nobody set her up to succeed. Tacos came out barely warm, and the queso was missing the pickled jalapeños it's supposed to come with -- the kitchen was clearly drowning trying to keep pace. I went back and read other recent reviews afterward and it's the same complaints over and over. That's not bad luck, that's a management team that either doesn't know or doesn't care that their staff is being set up to fail every weekend. The server was doing everything right and still couldn't keep up because she had no backup -- that's on whoever is scheduling, not on her. I absolutely love Condado. The food is consistently good across locations. I used to go to the one downtown when I worked there and loved it. Now that I work from home, I was happy when this one opened. I have never had a bad meal. My mom and I went for lunch today before a doctor's appointment and really enjoyed it. The bartender did such a great job taking care of us. He was so kind and compassionate. We were happy that they had a great lunch special for $10.99. There were two options either two tacos, a side and a drink or one taco, a drink and dip. We chose the one taco (chicken bacon ranch is always a winner - Yum!). I chose the guacamole with pineapple which is unbelievable. I also had the strawberry Agua Fresca which was really good. My mom had the street corn dip which was really good too but a little spicy. I thought that the mango flavoring would sweeten it, but this drink genuinely was just unsweetened tea with tiny chunks of (what I assume to be) mango. Food is excellent, we always get street corn guacamole with chips for appetizers. For food, there's several choices of tacos based on what protein you like. I'm partial to the braised and confused and the sweet heat. The margaritas are hard to beat here as well. The seasonal flavor we got last time was dragonfruit which was excellent. Great experience! Ordered the $10.99 "crunch bunch" which included 2 customized tacos, a side, and agua Fresca. I enjoyed the topping combos. Mexican chimichurri was great. Their dirty sauce called an "8/10" heat was more like a 3. The chicken was fine. But the loaded tots were the absolute star. The worst experience I've ever had at Condado Tacos. Condado has always been a place where you can enjoy tacos and margaritas in under an hour. It's usually quick, and even if there's a wait for a table, the service has always been top-tier, but not at the North Hills location. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was incredibly offensive. He commented on my friend ordering the larger size of salsa and said, "Do you really need that?" He repeatedly called us "babe," which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. He then spent more time socializing with other customers, playing on his phone, and handling other customers' phones than paying attention to our table. We went nearly two hours without receiving water--not once. This was through our chips and salsa, appetizers, and tacos, while other tables around us had drinks and attentive service. Eventually, I spoke with the manager, Albert, who wasp helpful and apologetic. He explained that he was new to the North Hills location and assured us he would take our concerns seriously as he works to improve things there. The waiter, a dark-skinned dude wearing a beanie and pants falling off, was one of the most unprofessional servers I've encountered. We're pretty easygoing and not the type to complain, but the way he treated us was unacceptable. Other customers may have been so offended that they would have walked out in tears. I love that Condado opened up in North Hills so I don't have to go all the way to downtown to enjoy it. Also the parking situation is much better in the burbs!! For dine-in, the service is really quick and friendly, even when they are quite busy. Every location has their own locally commissioned artwork so I love seeing what each location has chosen. This specific location also has a patio which is great for when the weather is nice. My faves are: - Dirty Queso - Lucy's Fire - Blue Dream - The Heater I took off one star because the food can sometimes be a little inconsistent, two times I've been (one dine in and one take out) the food was really oversalted making it a little hard to eat. Also takeout time can vary. 85% of the time it is great but the last 15% you can end up waiting a long for your food (once I waited 30 mins past the pick up time). read more

If I could give absolutely no stars, I would. This is the second time in a month that I have went into a Condado Tacos (in two separate locations, mind you) that we have been seated and completely forgotten about and not had our order taken. We just walked into Condado Tacos in Pittsburgh, were seated, and 10 minutes go by and they start taking orders for people that were just seated, rather than taking our order after we had been there for quite a while longer. This same thing happened at the North High Street location in Columbus several weeks ago, so we left and went to the South High St. location. What is going on with this place? I absolutely love the food, but will no longer be supporting this business (at any location) due to their terrible customer service. read more

Condado has been a go-to when we're around the area and have difficult time deciding for a quick and delicious food. Always go for their massive shoe box sized Nachos. Pick your toppings-you can't go wrong. We usually just do a pick-up order and service has been pleasant and straightforward every time. The restaurant always seems clean when I go in to pick up and seems pretty chill to hang out at. Maybe we'll decide to dine-in next time. Prices are reasonable for the items they offer. It was around 9pm and the place was still pretty busy. I sat at the bar and service was quick and friendly. I had a couple house margaritas, which were fantastic. And I can't remember exactly what tacos I ordered (which is not helpful at all..), but I can say from experience at this and the other locations that you cannot go wrong. All the tacos are great! Went on a Friday around 6p. Didn't seem overly busy. There were 4 of us so not like we had a a big party to take care of. Waiter took down appetizer and drink orders and they came out pretty quick. But there was probably a 20+ minute wait before the order for food was taken (no check-in in between having the drinks dropped off and the apps coming). Eventually the order for entrees were given and the food came out in normal fashion and tasted decent. Again, no check-in after food arrived. It took almost 40 minutes from the time we were DONE EATING to get the bill. It actually took me getting up and being next in line to talk to the bartender before the waiter saw me and asked me if something was up, to which I said we just wanted our bill. If it was a staffing issue, all they had to say was, "Give me a few extra minutes, we're thin on people" and I would have understood fully. But that didn't happen. The waiter looked like he was doing some table bussing here and there but he seemed more interested in having a good time at the bar, joking and laughing with the other staff rather than checking in on us (and probably other tables of his.) Again, if it was a staffing problem and gave us a heads up they'd be a tad slower, I would've been understanding, but we won't go back to this location. Very disappointed. The restaurant was busy with other customers, but the seating hostess very promptly seated us at a high-top table outside. Throughout our meal, our server provided very friendly and timely service. The menu listed quesos, guacamoles, salsas, and lots of tacos (e.g., chicken, ground beef, pork, brisket, steak, plant, and build-your-own). Here are my reviews for our foods: Bianco Queso - 5 stars - This cheese was very gooey and tasted very cheesy. Traditional Guacamole - 4.5 stars - This guacamole was fresh and contained a good amount of jalapeños, cilantro, lime, and red onions. Pineapple Salsa - 4 stars - This salsa contained not only pineapple chunks but also pieces of bell peppers, red onions, roma tomatoes, cilantro, and chipotle honey. Tortilla chips - 4.5 stars - These tortilla chips tasted good but were thicker than other restaurants' chips. Ooey Gooey taco - 3.5 stars - This taco consisted of a hard corn shell, roasted chicken, black beans, queso blanco, onions, cilantro, and sauce. Plain Jane taco - 4 stars - This taco contained chicken, peppers, onions, lettuce, smoked cheddar, and tomatillo salsa (and no tomatoes at my husband's request). My husband described this taco as "pretty good." Braised + Confused taco - 3.5 stars - This taco had a soft shell with rice, beef brisket, jicama and cabbage slaw, pickeled red onions, queso fresco, and chipotle crema. We recommend that the kitchen add a bit more brisket to this taco in the future. Sweet Heat taco - 3.5 stars - This taco had both a hard and soft shell. Inside were beef brisket, queso blanco, onions, cilantro, cheddar, pineapple salsa, habanero-mango sauce, and chipotle honey. We recommend that the kitchen add a bit more brisket to this taco in the future. Chicken Bacon Ranch taco - 5 stars - This taco was a special of the month. It was our favorite taco, so I hope that it will become part of the regular menu in the future. My husband was already thinking about the "next time" that we will visit this restaurant! Tip: I recommend ordering approximately 2 tacos per person. Each taco costs roughly several dollars. (I see one review that says that this is not real Mexican food. Of course, we are located in Pennsylvania, so the food is not authentic. My knock on them is the quality, and the fact that at the end of the day, it is just fast food style meals you could find at Taco Bell or elsewhere. Do yourself a favor, skip this place, and go to MadMex down the street. Prices are comparable, but you will receive legit hometown Mexican food with a twist. Finally, out tacos come out and they were good, but I'd rather go to a small authentic Mexican restaurant and get tacos for less. The wait is over. Condado Tacos has opened at McCandless Crossing. This location is on the Handel's, Dibellas, Loews side of McCandless Crossing. It took over IHOP's space. Unfortunately, it will be a victim of McCandless Crossing parking debacle. At 4 pm on Friday, I had to park on the side of Dibellas because the lot in front was full. Imagine the Little League team coming for ice cream after a game. Parking will be an issue. I described the Blood Orange margarita that I had on Ash Wednesday at the Cranberry location to the waitress ... of course, we can get it for you. It was delightful.
