If I ever need change and my money doesn't go into the change machine the attendants are always happy to exchange out my money. After helping direct her car, and providing a little extra weight to a slipping tire, we were able to rescue her car from most certain doom. The only downside to all of this, is I was wearing a fairly new suit that had been in range of snow and road grime from the spinning tire. So I began to consider my local dry cleaning options. I had used another dry cleaner in the area before, and while they did a good job, I felt that they were a little overpriced. Apple Cleaners being closer then any other place to wear I lived, received the first look during my investigation. This place got off to a really good start by offering coupons on their website (so check that out). I was able to get a $9 coupon off my bill for a 2 piece suit. Securing that deal I decided that Apple was worth a shot. Now this place is in a strip mall, and it is a dry cleaners, so I was expecting a bare sterile looking place when I walked in. This place is decorated nicely on the inside, which was an unexpected nice touch. I did go in on a Monday after the holidays, early in the morning to drop off my suit, and the place was busy. The line was 4 people deep when I walked in and only one person (there are two kiosks) working the desk. She did seem really annoyed when she saw me walk in, maybe the first day back from a long break was to blame but it wasn't very welcoming. She took my suit and my coupon and gave me my date to come pick it up, which was 3 days later. She explained that there was a longer wait, because they were backed up losing working days to the holidays. Went back when my suit was ready for pickup. New person working the desk, the place was empty, but it didn't stop her from giving me a very un-welcomed vibe when I walked through the door. I presented my pickup ticket and she quickly got my suit. They had done a great job and everything looked to be fine. The coupon left my remaining bill in the steal category so I was pretty happy about that. I would not hesitate to use Apple Cleaners again, especially with the coupons offered. This would of been a 5 star review though if it hadn't been for the service. We don't have to be best friends, but please don't give me the impression that I am ruining your day by being there.

Moved it to the dryer left again and when we came back, his laundry was scattered across the tables, and all of his jeans socks boxers and bananas had been stolen, as well as some of my stuff too. I've been trying for a week to get ahold of the owner and of course nothing. there was one couple in there when we were, and it was 2 in the morning so it's doubtful the story they gave us but I need to see the camera footage. Its my fault for leaving, but it'd be nice to be able to get a hold of the owner for the footage.

After days went by, I realized I was missing a shirt and contacted them. Then, the owner didn't believe me that a shirt from TALBOTS could cost $100 and made a snide remark. Also, I had a pair of EILEEN FISHER silk pants that I dropped off and that they couldn't find. Through several phone calls, they asked me to check 'my husband's closet' 'if my kids wore them'. I DO keep track of my $250 silk pants from Eileen Fisher. I would never wash them. I kindly asked if the owner wanted to keep a customer and pay for the shirt and pants. -- He said 'they had no record of the pants - ' duh! because they lost them. Then, made a snide comment about reimbursing me for the shirt. I always try to patronize local businesses and I expected more from a long-established Collinsville local company, but they were very disappointing. I will be using a chain instead.
